While the scent is a bit off-putting, the formula, texture, and color longevity are surprisingly impressive It's a shame it's a limited edition. However, you can get similar shades from the same line if you want alternatives - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 25, 2021
This is hands down my favorite YSL tint I've tried so far! The color is absolutely gorgeous. Apply a thin layer all over, then add a second coat to the center for the ultimate glossy pout that's simply divine. The formula has even more shine than the Water Stain line. The scent is pleasant, the pigmentation is excellent, and it's the only YSL tint that actually stains my lips and lasts through meals. It's practically perfect... Oh, and you can use the cap as a mirror! The only downsides are the price and amount you get... everything else is completely satisfying! The color intensifies over time, similar to a true water tint. For better control over the shade, it's best to apply multiple thin layers rather than one thick coat. - zl******Combination SkinFeb 16, 2021
The color payoff is slightly better than the original Water Stain. The scent is that signature YSL tint fragrance, which I quite enjoyed. I felt that the characteristic shine of the original Water Stain has been reduced. As someone who likes to layer with other products, this felt a bit heavy for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 27, 2021
It has a sophisticated beige nude tone that doesn't look muddy at all. The color payoff is incredibly luxurious! It's also great for layering. Unfortunately, the shades in the Illicit Nude line all look quite similar to each other. The shade on the left in the photo is 202. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 19, 2021
While this shade suits both warm and cool tones, personally I find it more flattering on warm undertones with its cozy, alluring rose color. Being from the water stain line, it feels much more hydrating than other YSL lip products! It's a color I tend to use more in autumn rather than summer or winter. The color payoff is true to the packaging, applying to the lips with a lovely, moist finish. Unfortunately, it tends to get patchy as time goes on. Not only does the tint itself become uneven, but it also emphasizes any dead skin cells on my lips. The scent isn't my favorite either. Moreover, considering it's a department store brand, the price point makes it difficult to purchase casually. Lastly, as it starts to fade, it leaves an unappealing transparent residue in the center of the lips. - ju*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 28, 2020
The color is absolutely gorgeous! This is my first time trying an YSL tint after always using drugstore brands. The design is beautifully executed, and the shade is this intriguingly pretty MLBB (My Lips But Better) color with a unique twist. I thought it would be glossy, but it's only like that initially. As it absorbs, it settles into a natural, long-lasting finish! This also means less transfer. There's a slight beer scent to the tint... It was a bit surprising, but you can cover it up with a nice lip balm. It looks prettiest when applied lightly. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinDec 10, 2020
It feels moisturizing when applied and absorbs well into the skin, which is great! The staying power is good, but the color is quite subtle. The distinctive scent of Yves Saint Laurent might be polarizing. At first, I noticed a slight alcohol-like smell. Also, there's a bit of stickiness after application. While the staying power is decent, it comes off almost completely with just a quick wipe of a tissue. Applying a lip balm before or after this product helps prevent stickiness and provides extra hydration, which is nice. - sd******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2020
The color payoff isn't too intense, resulting in a natural look without heavy staining. It's easy to blend. As you use it more, the tint tends to leak around the container's opening and lid. It might feel slightly drying when used alone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedOct 4, 2020
The color is beautiful and natural-looking! The staying power is pretty decent too. The downside is... I don't get many chances to use it since I'm always wearing a mask. Bummer! - an******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 19, 2020
The way it seamlessly blends into the skin for a dewy finish is truly beautiful! The color is a muted, faded red shade. YSL tints have a distinctive scent that might be hit or miss for some people.
