Today, I cried. I wept for an hour and a half because it felt like the world was against me. For about 30 minutes, I silently shed tears, unable to make a sound. Then, for an hour, I sobbed on my boyfriend's shoulder. He was wearing a gray hoodie, and I was worried about leaving tear stains and makeup marks on it. You know how embarrassing it can be when foundation gets on gray clothes - it's so hard to remove. So, I carefully lifted my face, feeling awkward, but to my surprise, there was no makeup residue - just tear stains and some traces of snot. I had cried so hard while pouring my heart out that there were only saliva marks left. You see, I don't usually use powder. I have severe atopic dermatitis and very dry skin, so when I apply powder, my skin flakes and looks like a turtle's shell with all the dead skin cells. I'm the type of person who avoids powder even when my foundation sinks into my pores and makes my dark circles look worse than when I'm not wearing makeup. But my sister recommended this product, saying it was good, so I tried applying it just on my nose area. At first, it looked too white, and I got annoyed, thinking I had wasted my money. However, as I gradually applied it from my nose, gently blending it into my smile lines, and using it as a highlighter substitute, my boyfriend touched my cheeks and said my skin felt like a baby's - so soft and smooth. I felt a twinge of guilt because it wasn't my natural skin. My under-eye area is particularly problematic due to atopic dermatitis. Even high-end cushion foundations tend to flake, and products claiming to give a "water glow" effect don't work for me. Usually, I have to set my under-eye concealer immediately, or it either disappears or flakes. But this powder doesn't flake at all. It's amazing. Lately, I've been living a hectic life. I wake up at 6 AM, exercise for 30 minutes, then rush through my busy college life - assignments, classes, lectures I barely understand, and multiple extracurricular activities. I'm taking 21 credits this semester, doing mentoring, getting certifications, and even attending academies for self-improvement. I put on makeup at 7 AM and remove it at 11 PM, sometimes even at 2 AM. I absolutely hate touch-ups because I already spend so much time on makeup at home. But with this powder, I don't need to. It fixes my makeup so well that my pores are practically invisible. I used to be self-conscious about my strawberry nose, but now people tell me my skin looks flawless. They say it looks like I've applied a Snow app filter in real life. While it might seem a bit too white at first, it works perfectly as a highlighter. I'm seriously considering becoming loyal to this brand. Of course, I should mention some drawbacks, but honestly, this is the best powder I've ever used. Words can't express how perfect it is. You can apply it all over your face and use the excess under your eyes. It even prevents mascara from smudging. It's truly remarkable. I'm amazed that it works so well for me, given my dry skin and atopic dermatitis. I think the ingredients need to be examined closely because it's rare for a powder to suit someone with skin as dry as mine. For people like me, this product is as essential as air. I can't imagine being without it now. Now, let's talk about the drawbacks. I've mentioned all the great things about this product, right? Looking at those benefits, you'd think I should be loyal to this brand. I mean, how could I not be? It's like air to me, a miraculous cosmetic that lets me breathe. But there's one major downside. You see, I'm a college student. Translation: I'm broke. I live on my own. Translation: I'm broke. I don't get financial support. Translation: I'm broke. I work, but I don't earn much. Translation: I'm broke. My wallet is thin. Translation: I'm broke. You know how people say they live on ramen? Well, I split one pack of ramen broth into two meals for two days. That's how broke I am. I'm so broke that when I crave coffee, I can't even use a full stick of coffee mix in 1.5 liters of water. Sometimes, I only use half a stick. I even buy cheap coffee powder from the dollar store and use just half of it in 1.5 liters of water. I only drink water from the school's water purifier. My friends joke that I'd win first place in a poverty contest. Being this broke, I usually only use cosmetics that are given to me for free. So, tell me, how on earth am I supposed to afford something that costs 30,000 won? That's not just pocket change - it's a small fortune to me. It's crossing a line. How can someone as broke as me stay loyal to this brand? Why does my "air" have to be so expensive? It's like I'm buying bottled air from a pristine meadow or something. Please, just lower the price a little! There's a makeup fixer at Daiso for just 5,000 won. If you spray it on once, let it dry, and then apply this powder, I'm telling you, it absolutely does not budge. I'm a dancer, you know. I dance to improve my leadership skills and social abilities. I dance for about an hour, take a 30-minute break, have a 30-minute meeting, and then dance for another two hours. I'm drenched in sweat. But here's the amazing part - if I carefully dab away the sweat, my makeup still looks so good that I don't even need to touch it up. - ki******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedJul 6, 2023
It goes on a bit thick, so I use it as an eye base! Since my dark circles extend above my eyes, I've been using this ever since my favorite blue eyeshadow was discontinued! It applies a tiiiny bit thick, so I absolutely avoid using a puff when applying it to my face. - me******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 23, 2022
I love how this tinted powder beautifully brightens and enhances my complexion. After using this, I tried a plain white powder, but it felt unnatural and made my skin look too pale, so I switched back to this one exclusively. My skin has a slightly yellowish undertone, but the lavender color in this powder counteracts it, giving me an overall radiant look! It goes on smoothly without feeling heavy, so I always carry it with me for touch-ups on the go. I find that applying it with a wedge puff works better than the included puff, so that's how I've been using it! - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedOct 4, 2022
It really makes your skin look beautifully airbrushed! I couldn't really find any downsides, except maybe a bit of excess powder? But it's not noticeable enough to bother me. - co********Combination SkinRecommendedAug 9, 2022
This is my holy grail powder! I can't believe I hesitated to buy it for so long. I have combination-dehydrated skin, and usually powder makes my skin feel dry deep down, so I've been avoiding it to maintain my makeup. But after seeing so many positive reviews for this product, I kept coming back to it and finally bought the lavender shade. And wow... it's amazing! It gives a beautiful blurring effect on the skin. Unlike other powders that can feel heavy and drying, this one doesn't cake up or make my skin feel parched. It doesn't cause any dryness, and as a bonus, it gives a subtle brightening effect. If you're still searching for the perfect powder, you absolutely must try this! The only downside is that you need to use a wedge sponge instead of the included puff. Whatever you do, don't use the included puff! You really need to apply this with a wedge sponge. Pro tip: When closing the case, place the thick part of the wedge sponge towards the inside to keep the lid from popping open. - 1y*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 27, 2022
Oh my, this is a holy grail powder compact! When I use it, my skin feels incredibly soft and velvety, and it really keeps oil at bay. The only downside is that the powder tends to get stuck in the puff that comes with it. It's a bit frustrating, though I guess that's common with these types of compacts. If anything gets stuck in the compact, just brush it gently with a toothbrush and it'll be clean again! - jg*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedFeb 22, 2022
This seems really great for oily skin types. In summer, when sweat makes your skin feel even more uncomfortable, I love how it leaves your skin feeling soft and powdery when you pat it in! Even in winter, when there's less oil production, I could go out after patting it on without needing to touch up much. It's a bit disappointing that you need to buy a separate triangle puff for the best application, as it gives a better finish when used with one. Using a triangle puff to pat it in gives an even better finish - 44********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2022
I had only been using Make Up For Ever, but when I saw how this product filled in my pores and blurred imperfections with just a mini disposable puff, I was sold... It doesn't cause any other blemishes, but I wish they would make the powder puff out of a different material, similar to a regular puff. If you apply too much skincare underneath, this product will pill! Using it with a puff opens up a whole new world of application. - pu***************Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 14, 2021
I love how it absorbs without feeling heavy or drying, and it even provides some color correction which is great It's better to apply with a triangular wedge puff. The included puff isn't that great I recommend applying it with a Peripera triangular wedge puff! - 50***Oily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 15, 2021
It effectively removes surface oils without drying out the skin. As the name suggests, it also provides a slight brightening effect to even out your complexion! It applies best with the sponge sold during group purchases! However, you need to reapply frequently and there's a bit of pilling. The price during group buys is reasonable! It pairs well with hydrating foundations.
