With other foam cleansers, I always experienced severe skin tightness after washing, forcing me to apply cream immediately to avoid discomfort. However, with this foam cleanser, I could instantly feel how gentle it was, as it didn't cause that issue.
ConsAs gentle as it feels, I could tell that its cleansing effectiveness isn't great. Personally, I don't wear heavy makeup, so it's not a big issue for me. But even I need to double cleanse, which makes me think others might need to wash their face even more times.
TipCompared to other products, this foam cleanser doesn't produce as much lather, which might make you feel like you need to use more. But don't worry - a small amount is actually sufficient.

My face was so sensitive that even a gentle touch of a towel felt like a laser treatment at the dermatologist's. My skin was irritated, flaking, and unbearably dry. That's when I realized I needed a gentler foam cleanser. After researching mild ingredients, I became fascinated with cica and bought this product without hesitation. As someone with combination dehydrated skin that's thin and super sensitive, harsh cleansers usually leave my face feeling sore with red, itchy patches. But this product is so gentle, I don't experience any of those issues. It doesn't feel harsh on my skin after cleansing, so I used it diligently. True to its low pH nature, it doesn't produce abundant foam, which means you end up using more product. The scent is hard to describe - it's not unscented, but it's not off-putting either. Usually after using a foam cleanser, my skin feels so dry that I need to apply something immediately. With this product, while it's not completely non-drying, the tightness isn't severe. I can take my time with my skincare routine without rushing. During my heavy makeup phase, a friend who works in the beauty industry saw my cleanser and praised my choice. She said it was gentle, suitable for my skin condition, and that I'd made a good decision choosing this brand.
ConsBeing gentle means it doesn't completely remove heavy makeup. On days when I wear makeup, I still use an oil cleanser first, cleanse until the oil is mostly gone, and then use this as a final step. Using this product alone seems to lead to more dead skin cells buildup. It also doesn't remove sunscreen very well, so my family thinks it's not effective enough and I'm the only one using it. I suppose it would be asking too much to expect it to be effective on color cosmetics too.
TipIt's not exactly a pro tip, but I use this for my morning cleanse. It leaves my face feeling fresh without any tightness, which is great for mornings. When I occasionally use it for evening cleansing, I make sure to thoroughly wash my hands first. If there's any oil on your hands, you'll end up using the product to clean your hands instead. The bottle is generously sized, so using more product seems to improve its cleansing effectiveness.

It was truly disappointing.
Cons1. After rinsing, it leaves an excessively slippery feeling on the skin (this might be a matter of personal preference, so keep that in mind). 2. When used as a second cleanser after cleansing oil, it almost always leads to blemishes the next day. It seems the makeup residue isn't being properly removed. Pay extra attention to the eye area. I've never encountered a cleansing foam that's this ineffective at cleansing. 3. As for using it as a morning cleanser? It seems to have zero exfoliating power... After using only this cleanser, my makeup application results in cracked, patchy skin. The combination of a slippery feel and dryness is baffling... This aspect frustrates me the most, to the point where I won't even consider using it anymore. Regardless of how gentle the ingredients may be, a cleanser shouldn't linger on the skin for long and should focus on its primary function. Both makeup residue and the cleanser itself should be thoroughly washed away, but with this product, it feels like both are left behind slightly, leaving me feeling very uncomfortable and dissatisfied.

Unfortunately, there were more downsides to this foam cleanser. While it didn't cause any major blemishes, the lack of foam made me wonder if it was cleansing properly. I did notice some small breakouts around the edges of my face.
ConsBeing a low pH foam cleanser, it barely lathers at all. I've bought bubble makers before, but I only use them initially and then get lazy. There are other low pH cleansers that foam well, so I probably won't buy this product again. With so little foam, I'm not sure about its cleansing effectiveness, and I didn't feel refreshed after washing. Also, I usually wash with my eyes open, but this made them sting. Thankfully, I could try a sample first. I won't be purchasing the full-size product.

I had been using La Roche-Posay cleansing gel for about 2 years, but I felt its mild cleansing effect (typical of low pH products) wasn't enough. It also felt irritating when my skin was particularly sensitive. So, I was looking for a cleanser that could help with sensitive skin and blemishes when I received a sample of this product from Olive Young! First off, I liked that it contains Centella Asiatica extract! While I was skeptical about whether cleansing alone could soothe skin and treat blemishes, it didn't feel irritating, so I used it without any issues. (I'm currently using Isoi Non-Drying Cleansing Gel) After cleansing, my face doesn't feel tight and remains adequately hydrated! (It might be a bit dry for those with very dry skin, but for my combination dehydrated skin, it felt just right in terms of moisture) True to its low pH nature, it doesn't create dense, rich foam or abundant lather when cleansing. The texture is closer to a runny essence, so even with a bubble net, it doesn't produce much foam.
ConsWhile it's a gentle product that's easy to use without irritation, being a low pH product means its cleansing effectiveness isn't great. It's good for light morning cleansing, but even when used as a second cleanser, I often found makeup residue left behind. I would sometimes wake up with new blemishes after removing my makeup the night before, which was likely due to incomplete makeup removal. When using this as a second cleanser, a point makeup remover is a must! I'd recommend using it mainly for morning cleansing.
TipUse only for morning cleansing! Be careful as it may sting if used on broken skin. It paired well with Neogen's cleansing water.

After cleansing, my skin feels so amazing that I can't stop touching it. It's unlike any cleansing foam I've used before. The satisfaction level is high after cleansing - it feels less like a cleanser and more like I've applied a product that smooths my skin.
ConsThe cleansing effectiveness seems quite weak. When I tried to wash off foundation residue on the back of my hand, it just wouldn't come off. For those who apply this over sunscreen, I'd recommend preparing a separate first-step cleansing product. Even after thorough cleansing, when I wipe with toner on a cotton pad, there's still a faint residue... which is a bit concerning.
TipI'm using this product as a final step after using a cleansing water or a more effective cleansing foam. When cleansing before bed, make sure to cleanse very thoroughly.

ConsThe lack of a squeaky-clean sensation makes it feel like the cleansing is incomplete. Even after double cleansing and wiping with toner, you can still feel traces of makeup left behind.
TipIt seems suitable as a second-step cleanser after using cleansing oil.

My skin didn't get worse, and it even helped calm my blemishes.
ConsI used it for light morning cleansing, so I'm not sure how well it would remove makeup.

It gently removes impurities without irritation. While the foam might seem surprisingly small and fine, this actually helps it effectively cleanse accumulated sebum and debris from every nook and cranny, even when using just your hands.
ConsNot recommended as a primary cleanser. It's not designed for makeup removal, so its effectiveness in that regard is limited.
TipHighly recommended specifically for the second cleanse, especially for those with acne-prone, super sensitive skin, combination dehydrated skin, or oily skin types!

I also easily develop contact dermatitis. Naturally, my skin reacts quickly if any ingredient doesn't agree with it. The only positive aspect I can mention is the product size.
Cons1. The cleansing effectiveness is weak. Although low pH products are generally known for gentler cleansing, this one falls short. 2. The scent is truly something else. There were many times I felt nauseous from the smell while washing my face, especially after drinking. 3. It triggered those dreaded tiny bumps on my skin, which is a deal-breaker for me. I thought the good ingredients would prevent blemishes, but I'm not sure if it's due to poor cleansing leaving residue or some ingredients not agreeing with my skin. 4. I stopped using it, but my boyfriend continued for about a month. Even he, who never had tiny bumps before, developed them. Those with skin similar to mine should be cautious.
