I found this product quite useful! I used it until I could almost see the bottom of the container. Nothing particularly bad, except maybe the redness...? That's the only noticeable issue I can think of. It seems the user had a generally positive experience with the product, using it consistently. However, they noticed some redness on their skin, which could indicate a mild sensitivity or reaction to the product. This might be worth considering for those with sensitive skin or prone to redness. - ad********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessJun 22, 2025
The color is so pretty, giving just the right shadowy effect! And the design is absolutely gorgeous. The excess powder fallout is seriously, seriously intense... It's really bad. The color payoff isn't great either, so it might be better suited for beginners. It's perfect for setting your contour after shaping with a contour stick. The intensity is just right - not too dark, not too light. - vk********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 6, 2025
I tried this product because I dislike reddish contour shades, and the gray tone is absolutely fantastic! It was a perfect match for my warm complexion. It allows for a completely natural-looking contour. The fine particles create a subtle, beautiful color payoff that's simply superb. It's essential to control the amount before use. Make sure to tap off the excess several times before applying. - mf********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 8, 2025
The product quality is quite impressive. For winter cool dark skin tones, the color might appear slightly off with a hint of redness. Still, it's hard to find such a cost-effective and decent contouring product, so I keep using it. The lightest shade is the real gem - I wish they'd sell this color separately. The middle shade has a reddish undertone that looks a bit unnatural on the face. Other than that, it's fine. The darkest shade is almost too dark to use - it's hard to figure out where to apply it. - pj***********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2025
In conclusion, this is the most satisfying contour powder I've used so far! (I've tried Peripera and Wakemake before.) The particles are incredibly fine and apply smoothly without clumping. Usually, when I use contour powders, they don't pick up well on the brush after a while, but with Holika Holika, the application feels consistent from start to finish. As for the color, it's closer to neutral than cool, so I'd recommend the 'Cool Ground' shade for both warm and cool undertones if you have fair skin. There's nothing particularly disappointing, but it would be great if they could offer a wider range of cool-toned shades. - je*****Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 12, 2025
As a contouring novice, I was looking for a product with subtle pigmentation, and this one fits the bill perfectly! It's not too intense, making it great for a natural makeup look. True to its 'Cool Ground' name, it's wonderfully free of yellow undertones. The pigmentation is a bit on the lighter side, so I find myself only using the darkest shade. Also, it's a dual brush product, but disappointingly comes with only one case. Try using a contouring stick first, then apply this on top! It lasts so long you won't need any touch-ups. - oh*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 8, 2024
The color is very appropriate and natural. It applies beautifully for nose and chin contouring, blends well, and goes on thinly. I recommend this to beginners who felt other contouring products on the market were too red, yellow, or gray, or those who found that every product they tried went on too heavily. The texture is dry and thin, so the color payoff isn't intense. Be careful with the case as it's very fragile - even a slight drop can cause the lid to crack and separate. - 7g********Combination SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 12, 2024
Yes, I like it. It seems suitable for both warm and cool skin tones. The color payoff is natural and really nice. I find myself using it almost daily. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it! For me, it's absolutely top-notch. - ch*********Dry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 25, 2024
I've settled on this shading product... As a winter cool deep tone 21, this shading creates just the right shadow effect! The absorption is top-notch too. It doesn't pill even when applied right after skincare... It works well for my no-foundation, minimal makeup routine with just sunscreen and concealer, even when my skin feels a bit sticky. Of course, setting with powder would make blending easier, but it's not necessary. The staying power is decent, and the size is just right. I've been using it for quite a while, and I'm just now seeing pan. It's definitely a staple for me. While I'm curious to try other brands, this one is certainly my go-to for peace of mind. I understand why there's a higher ratio of the medium shade, but I wish there was a bit more of the darkest color. It doesn't pick up well on my jaw contouring brush. - ye**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedAug 15, 2024
The particles are soft and the excess powder is manageable. I love that the color doesn't have any reddish tones. The pigmentation is on the lighter side, so you might need to apply multiple layers. I wish the brush came out from only one side instead of both. It's difficult to stand up in its container, it gets messy, and having brushes on both sides is inconvenient.
