It has a rose scent, which I personally dislike. I wish it were unscented... Also, after having a severe skin reaction from not checking ingredients in the past, I now pay attention to them. Unfortunately, the ingredients in this product aren't particularly good...

Ever since my skin went haywire, I've been checking the ingredients on Hwahae before buying any cosmetics. But I just bought this on a whim because I was so into the oil-controlling aspect, and now I'm breaking out. I'm not sure what ingredient doesn't agree with me. 
Also, if you don't apply it really well, it transfers onto the mask. I've tried various tone-up creams and tone-up sunscreens, but this is the first tone-up cream I've seen that transfers color like a foundation. The product color is pink-toned, but it leaves an unsightly stain on the mask. I don't even use cushion or foundation because I hate having anything transfer onto the mask, but this did it. 
Anyway, I'm going to stop using this since it's causing breakouts. It just doesn't seem to work for me.

It's summer and with the mask, my skin is already oily enough. But this product I searched for and bought seems to reduce the excess oil even more. It also seems to have a decent tone-up effect. It's slightly matte, but doesn't clog my pores and applies naturally well. I would recommend this to those who don't have the oil as the main issue, but for those like me with sensitive skin or who tend to get breakouts easily, I wouldn't recommend it.

As with most primers with good adhesion, if you don't pat it on quickly and evenly, it's inevitable that it will clump and cling in some areas of the skin

Since a little bit of this primer goes a long way, just apply a thin layer and then press the cushion foundation on top. It applies much better and looks nicer than not using the primer at all. But be careful not to use too much, as that can cause the makeup to lift or become uneven.

I had a feeling the ingredients might not be great, which is why I intentionally didn't check Hwahae before buying it. And sure enough, when I use this, something happens that makes me not want to use it very often...
I feel like if I used this every day, it would end up making a mess.

It's amazing how much better the foundation applies and how much more radiant my skin looks when I use the primer and then the cushion. I was a bit skeptical at first, but now I understand why people use primers. The pearlescent finish helps boost the glow without having to bother with a highlighter. The pink shade also blends seamlessly into the foundation, giving a natural-looking flush rather than a harsh pink cast.

The application could be a bit smoother, as it feels slightly thick, but it's not overly dry.

This product can be applied lightly as an alternative to sunscreen, and it provides a subtle coverage that brightens the skin tone.

It's become very dry. My skin feels tight and parched. It doesn't seem suitable for dry skin.

The tone-up effect looks natural. It's not sticky and feels refreshing.

It has a distinct rose scent, which lingers on the face even after application. Those hoping for a significant tone-up effect may be disappointed with this product.

This product has a natural tone-up function, rather than becoming overly white like Serenity.
