It feels gentle on the skin, cleansing without any irritation. I loved that my skin didn't feel dry after using it. While the scent isn't particularly off-putting, it's not exactly pleasant either. It reminds me of dish soap. It's great for a light morning cleanse. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 1, 2024
1. Lather - It produces a rich foam even with just a small amount, which is fantastic. 2. Scent - I'm not a fan of strong fragrances in cleansing products, so I appreciate that this one has a subtle scent. 3. Cleansing effectiveness - Above all! I'm extremely satisfied as its cleansing power exceeds my expectations. 4. Dryness - I love that it cleanses well without leaving my skin feeling dry! The scent might be a bit divisive for some people. Other than that, I don't have any particular complaints! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 6, 2023
After using S Nature cleansers for a while, I decided to try this more affordable option. The ingredients are good, it lathers nicely, and it effectively removes sunscreen. I've been using A-True cleansers as my main cleanser for the past 3-4 years because it doesn't cause any blemishes. After cleansing, there's no deep dryness, making it great for dry skin. I also love that the container is transparent, allowing me to easily check how much product is left. I've been using this for a long time because of its reasonable price and good ingredients, but it seems like it's being discontinued now. It's disappeared from all the retailers. This product is sufficient for days when you've only applied sunscreen. For days with heavier makeup, I use a cleansing oil first, followed by the A-True cleanser for a thorough cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 6, 2022
Texture: As a cleansing gel, it's a transparent gel that quickly transforms into foam when mixed with water. The amount of foam it produces is surprisingly rich - I was amazed at first! Hydration: I always use this for my morning cleanse or when I've only applied sunscreen. It's noticeably less drying than foam cleansers. Perhaps due to the glycerin content, there's no feeling of dryness after cleansing. Scent: There's a subtle black tea fragrance, which I love as a tea enthusiast! It makes cleansing a pleasant experience. However, it might occasionally feel artificial, so those with sensitive skin who dislike fragrances might want to avoid it. Price: The volume is generous, and when purchased during Hwahae sales, it's incredibly good value. Ingredients: As someone with sensitive skin, I've used three bottles without experiencing any itching or tingling. It's definitely a gentle product. Don't expect intense cleansing power - being a gel type, it's slightly less effective in that regard. But this means it's less irritating and excels in moisturizing. Even during seasonal changes or cold weather, I've never felt my skin tighten after use. Your skin doesn't feel squeaky clean after washing. There's a slightly slippery feeling left behind, which sometimes makes me unsure if I've rinsed thoroughly enough. You know you should always use a gentler product for your morning cleanse, right? I'm on my third bottle and for my morning routine, I only use this gel to wash my face, avoiding foam cleansers completely. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 31, 2022
1. Scent I liked that the fragrance wasn't too strong. 2. Lather and Oil Removal Being slightly acidic, it lathers extremely well and effectively removes oil. It cleanses just right without over-drying, so I used it in place of my body wash. 3. Quantity The amount you get is good for the price. It didn't remove waterproof foundation or mascara well, so I only used it as a second cleanser. However, my skin started feeling slightly itchy and I noticed small blemishes appearing. So I switched to using it as a body wash, which worked perfectly. It lathers well, so just 1-2 pumps on a shower puff is great. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 17, 2022
I'm on my second bottle of this holy grail product! After cleansing, there's no tight feeling, and it removes makeup well! Of course, you'll need a separate remover for eyeliner and mascara, but it takes off all other makeup beautifully. I double cleanse when removing makeup, and this cleanser is absolutely non-irritating and incredibly gentle. Highly recommended! I use it for morning cleansing too - it lathers well and is truly a multi-purpose product that works hard. If I had to nitpick, there's a slight soap-like scent, but it's not strong at all and doesn't bother me in the least. For an even gentler cleanse, don't apply it directly to your face. Instead, work up a lather in your hands first before cleansing! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinFeb 27, 2022
It's gentle on the skin. At some point, I started disliking cleansers that left my skin feeling squeaky clean. This one doesn't leave my skin overly dry, and I trust it because the ingredients are so skin-friendly. If I had to pick something, maybe the scent is a bit like detergent? But it's not strong, and I don't even consider this a real drawback. In fact, it's better than having artificial fragrances. If you use it alone, it might feel a bit tight, so try applying it to damp skin! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 10, 2022
Squeeze out a pea-sized amount of foam and work it between your hands... it lathers up nicely. It cleanses gently and keeps my skin hydrated even after washing. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, the moisturizing aspect really suited me well. So far it's okay, but since there's no added fragrance, there's a slight soapy scent. It's not bothersome though. If you prefer that squeaky clean feeling after washing, this product might not be your cup of tea. This would be great as a second cleanser, likely to be gentle and non-irritating. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 9, 2022
* No blemishes occurred on my skin. * User experience: Despite being a gel type, it produced enough foam for effective use. It's supposed to be fragrance-free, but there was a slight plastic-like scent. The cleansing effectiveness was average. After use, I didn't experience any particular dryness. * Packaging, volume, and price: The pump dispenser is hygienic. If you buy it during a sale, I think it offers good value considering the volume. * I've tried many gel-type cleansers, and this one wasn't bad, except for the scent. Overall, it's a decent product. Personally, I found the scent unpleasant. It's supposed to be fragrance-free, but there's a plastic-like smell. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 20, 2021
Written in September 2022 - 5 stars Holy grail! I'm so happy to have found a cleanser I can stick with for life! It's great for those with dry skin, but make sure to rinse thoroughly with water. If you're not careful, it can leave a slight slippery feeling. Unlike foam cleansers that made my skin feel tight and dry, this one leaves my skin feeling fresh without excessive dryness. For those with oily skin, it might work well as a gentle morning cleanser. I also love the oil version and bought that too! Update November 2022 - 4 stars Hmm... lately, due to mask-wearing, I've been experiencing more blemishes. For skin with active oil production, this product might be too gentle. This cleanser seems best suited for those with dry and sensitive skin, especially as a second cleanse. Also, it doesn't effectively remove water-resistant sunscreens. I'm urgently looking for a different cleanser now. For those who wear makeup or sunscreen, I don't recommend using this as your only cleanser. However, it's great for those who double cleanse. When I use a slightly water-resistant sunscreen without any other makeup, I still feel the need to double cleanse as this alone leaves my skin feeling not quite clean enough. For basic skincare routines without makeup, there's nothing better than this.
