ConsI wish it came in a larger size. The fragrance is okay, but it smells a bit artificial...

After massaging with this cleansing oil and rinsing with water, it turns white without feeling sticky. It rolls off smoothly, leaving me with no worries about residue.
ConsThe scent is a bit off-putting... It has this artificial apple fragrance that doesn't fade easily with each use. Ironically, it wasn't the oil itself that made me feel uneasy, but rather the lingering scent.

The cleanser showcases gentle cleansing power with three polyglycerol-based emulsifiers. This formulation, which originated from Japanese company S and greatly influenced Korean low-irritation concept brands, is well-interpreted and structured. The actual skin feel is gentle, and there's almost no sensation of skin barrier damage from using this product. 2. Cleansing oils inevitably leave a slight residue. That's why the texture of the formulation itself is important. With its matte oil composition, it doesn't feel burdensome or greasy after cleansing. 3. It's quite effective on sebum and blackheads. While it doesn't swell pores to make blackheads come out quickly like some specialized blackhead products, it effectively and cleanly removes those that are ready to be extracted.
Cons1. Although the fragrance itself doesn't seem to have an irritating composition, I wonder how it would have turned out if it were released in a line like Mugwort Cica or something similar. The combination of the characteristic oil scent and apple fragrance is quite a sight to behold. It's not to my taste... It smells like a mix of unripe plum, apple candy, and oil. 2. Honestly, the regular price is on the expensive side compared to its ingredient composition. Unless it's using a pricey base like heptyl undecylenate or something similar, I'm not inclined to purchase it if it's priced above the sale range of 9,000 to 10,000 won.
TipExcept for extremely dry skin, this product can be used comfortably and with low irritation on any skin type.

The pleasant apple scent makes cleansing an enjoyable experience 2. Effectively removes makeup, leaving skin clean 3. No greasy residue after cleansing 4. Emulsifies well 5. Doesn't leave skin feeling tight or dry
Cons-- Disadvantages -- 1. The artificial apple fragrance is quite strong, not recommended for those sensitive to scents 2. May struggle to remove blackheads or sebum effectively 3. Glittery eyeshadow particles tend to remain on the face 4. The quantity seems small for the price; might only purchase during sales events 5. While I didn't experience blemishes, it contains some acne-triggering ingredients, so not recommended for super sensitive skin

It's quite fragrant, but it might be a bit too strong for those with sensitive skin. The cleansing effectiveness is truly... amazing! It gently washes everything away with just a light massage. And above all, it's incredibly gentle!!! Unlike other products that often caused redness or blemishes due to their oil content, this one didn't cause any issues at all.
ConsAs I mentioned earlier, the fragrance... I found it a bit too intense, which was challenging for me.

It removes sunscreen effectively without any fuss.
ConsThe artificial apple scent is so overwhelming that it made me check the ingredients on the Hwahae app. Since it doesn't have any remarkable effects to justify tolerating these ingredients, I decided not to use it on my face. I'm using it to wash off sunscreen residue from my hands instead :) It emulsifies well and isn't bad for that purpose.

I've been using this oil for 10 years now. Although the price has been creeping up and the volume shrinking compared to a decade ago, I still find it cost-effective when bought on sale, so I keep using it. I don't do double cleansing. In my early 20s, I had extremely dry skin, and double cleansing felt like it stripped away all the oil and moisture my skin needed. I usually only wear sunscreen, and makeup only on weekend outings, so single cleansing with this oil has been sufficient. For 8-9 years, I didn't even rinse thoroughly... I didn't realize the oil could get stuck in my pores, so I'd just quickly rinse 2-3 times with water. Maybe it's because I don't tend to get blemishes, but I never experienced any adverse reactions or blemishes from the oil. It's always worked well for me. I think it's great value for the price. As I'm finishing this oil, I've started using the popular Witch Piggy Hell-Pore oil, but I can't really tell much difference between the two... I'll probably switch back to Innisfree after finishing the Witch Piggy one, mainly because of the price. Director Pi doesn't particularly recommend this oil on her YouTube or blog, which makes me hesitate... but after using it for 10 years without any issues, I'm sticking with it. I just wish they'd improve the ingredients a bit.
ConsThe ingredients! These days, brands can't rely on name alone - they compete on ingredients. I often recommend the Hwahae app, and seeing friends buy cosmetics based on ingredient analysis and get results, it's clear that while ingredients may be invisible, their effects are undeniable. The artificial fragrance is strong and not good for the body... and then there are the other ingredients. If only the formula was better, it would be the perfect oil... It's disappointing that they keep sneakily raising the price while the ingredients remain subpar. To think I've used this for 10 years... I feel a bit betrayed. If I find an oil with better ingredients and value for money, I'll switch immediately. Also, during the 10 years of use, oil often got into my eyes during the emulsification process. I usually only wear sunscreen and light makeup on weekends, so I don't even rub around my eyes much... But while applying the oil was fine, it always seemed to get in my eyes during emulsification. Recently, I've been using the Witch Piggy oil, and it doesn't get in my eyes at all... using the same method. Why does this one get in my eyes so much? I've listed this as a definite con because I don't think it's good for oil to get in your eyes. I thought this was normal... but using the Witch Piggy oil made me realize maybe it's just this oil?
TipIf you don't have particularly sensitive skin, try buying this when it's on sale.

Cleansing effectiveness ★★★☆☆ It's... decent. Just decent. It removes makeup about as well as you'd expect for a 4D mascara. Nothing more, nothing less. Dryness ★★★★★ Calling all dry skin folks! This is dry. Very, very dry. Scent ★☆☆☆☆ Oh please, not this one... Every time I smell it, I feel like I'm going to be sick. Post-use blemishes ★☆☆☆☆ What the...? I don't know if I messed up the emulsification process or what, but one day after using this, I woke up to a sebum explosion on my nose + a cluster of pustular acne. I nearly lost my mind... ; Even though I saw reviews mentioning breakouts, I thought, 'It won't happen to me!' and bought it anyway. Big mistake lol. But I guess sometimes you just get unlucky, and other times it's fine... Blackhead, whitehead, and sebum removal ★★★★★ This really works well!! If this hadn't worked, I wouldn't have even bothered writing a review...
ConsPlease, for the love of all that is holy, do something about the smell... The artificial fruit scent gives me a headache every time, and I'm not even particularly sensitive to fragrances. Also, if the emulsification process isn't done properly, it leaves behind some seriously nasty blemishes.

It removes makeup effectively without needing a separate eye makeup remover.
ConsThe apple scent feels artificial and didn't suit me, but I think that's just a matter of personal preference.

It's probably the Innisfree item I've used the longest. I've tried other cleansing oils like green tea and olive, but this one has the perfect consistency - not too sticky, not too watery. It removes makeup effectively and seems to help with sebum control too. When I massage it on my face, I can feel the little sebum plugs coming out. When I don't use it, my skin texture definitely gets rougher and makeup doesn't apply as smoothly.
ConsThere's not really anything I dislike about it... except maybe the scent? It smells a bit artificial. Personally, I'm not a fan of the fragrance, so I wish it was either very faint or unscented. I understand they're trying to match the apple oil concept, but still...
