When I think of Huxley, this scent immediately comes to mind. It's not a floral fragrance from petals, but rather a scent that seems to emanate from the green stems of flowers - crisp and invigorating. The fragrance is so strong that you can smell it as soon as you open the lid, and its longevity is impressive, making it perfect for mood-lifting. The formula is incredibly light and fluid, ideal for gua sha massage. I appreciated how quickly it absorbs without leaving a slippery feeling. While it did leave marks when touching things for a while after application, it didn't feel like it was sitting on top of the skin, making it suitable even for summer use. The scent is quite potent, with a longevity that persists even after washing your hands. As someone who prefers lighter fragrances, I initially disliked it but grew accustomed to it with continued use. I think it would be nice if they offered a more refreshing scent option as well. When used alone, I found the hydration to be somewhat lacking. It seemed more suitable as a massage product rather than for skin moisturization. - sh*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedMar 8, 2025
I have dry skin but don't like thick products. I bought this to use with Cetaphil emulsion, needing a fragrant and light body oil. While it doesn't absorb super quickly, my skin feels noticeably soft and smooth by morning. I love the abundant floral scent too... It doesn't absorb very quickly, so it can feel a bit greasy. I recommend applying it before bed. - eh********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 14, 2025
This product is perfect as a body oil. It comes in a generous amount, has a lovely scent, and provides excellent hydration. I love that it's not sticky at all. The fragrance is a bit strong, with floral notes. It's great for gua sha massage - you can glide smoothly without any discomfort. The bottle feels like glass, making it quite heavy. You'll need to be careful as it might break if dropped. - na******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 13, 2024
Since it's based on plant oils, it didn't cause any hives or rashes like some baby oils do! The fragrance is absolutely divine, which is why I'm already on my second bottle. Some plant-based oils can have that nutty smell, but Huxley's oil is free from any weird scents - it's just pure floral goodness. The hydration isn't exactly top-notch, to be honest. For that velvety, moisturized feel, you'll need to layer an emulsion first and then add a layer of this oil. The scent, while lovely, doesn't linger for too long. Emulsion plus oil is the winning combo! - sh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 13, 2024
It's great for body moisturizing. The scent is pleasant and inoffensive. Since it's not a pump bottle, you have to tap it out, which inevitably leads to oil getting all over the cap and surrounding areas. - el*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 10, 2024
Applying this to my ankles, elbows, and nape before bed feels like it's comforting me through the day. During my pregnancy when morning sickness was severe, using this before sleep made me feel so at ease. Honestly, as a beauty enthusiast who has tried countless products over decades, I've found that most cosmetics aren't dramatically different from each other. Sometimes, a moderately priced supplement can be more effective than a high-end cosmetic costing hundreds of dollars. That's why this product is great for regular use, alternating with others in my routine. Hmm, I'm not sure when Huxley became a brand with such expensive marketing. I used to be able to snag great deals from small cosmetics distributors on Naver or Coupang. It's a shame they've lost that cost-effectiveness advantage. Mixing it with a thick, unscented body emulsion enhances its hydration and longevity. - mo****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 9, 2024
I bought it immediately after smelling the fragrance. The combination of herbal and subtle floral scents is perfect for lifting your mood. Applying it right after a shower helps refresh your spirits and lock in moisture. The flip-top dispenser can get messy around the opening, but the amazing scent makes up for this minor inconvenience. For best results, mix it with your favorite emulsion for a super-hydrating effect that your skin will love. - pa*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 7, 2024
The most important aspect of this oil... it absorbs quickly! Unlike slippery oils that leave residue everywhere unless wiped off, this one doesn't do that, which is great. The fragrance is lovely, just as everyone says - it's like being in a flower shop. You get that fresh green scent from trimming flower stems, mixed with the aroma of fresh blooms and a touch of sweetness. The scent lingers for quite a while. While the scent is nice, it might be a bit too intense. It's so noticeable that it could be overwhelming in crowded places. I usually only use oils at home, but I sometimes decant this into a small bottle to use as a light hand cream. However, this one feels a bit too strong for that - I feel like everyone would turn to look if I applied it as a hand cream. It can be a bit much. Mixing this with body emulsions or hand creams that have overly woody or green scents can turn them from disliked to liked. - fu*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 22, 2024
Wow, Huxley products have such amazing fragrances! The Moroccan Gardener in particular is so intense and captivating, just like a real perfume. It's reminiscent of both the rich scent of fresh flowers and the slightly bitter aroma of stems. Although it's an oil, it's not too rich, so I think it could be used year-round except for summer. The lingering, subtle fragrance is truly healing. Unfortunately, it contains too many potentially harmful ingredients. The price is also quite high. - mi********Normal SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 14, 2024
It feels like it absorbs well and has a smooth texture. I'm quite satisfied! Being an oil, it's a bit sticky and doesn't seem ideal for summer use.
