Let me list the reasons why I love it: Being slightly acidic, it doesn't strip away all the oil and moisture after cleansing. This results in a non-drying, hydrating finish that I really appreciate. Now that I'm in my 30s, I've noticed that cleansers that completely remove oil and moisture tend to cause deep dryness, which I'm not a fan of. It lathers well with just the right amount of foam, making it easy to rinse off. I'd say it's gentle and relatively fragrance-free. There's hardly any scent at all. It's such a solid choice that I'd definitely repurchase if there's a buy-one-get-one deal or special event!
ConsThe price... Without any promotions, buying it individually feels a bit expensive for a cleansing foam.

That's when I discovered this product while searching for a low-pH cleansing gel. It's become an absolute essential that I've been using for years now. There's zero irritation, and the hydration is fantastic. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, my face usually feels tight just seconds after cleansing, but with Eucerin's cleansing gel, while my skin feels a bit dry, there's no deep dryness at all. Currently, my blemishes have almost disappeared, and my skin condition has improved significantly. No matter how gentle other cleansing foams claim to be, nothing seems to compare to Eucerin's cleansing gel. As long as it's not discontinued, I plan to use it for life.
ConsIts cleansing effectiveness isn't exceptional, so you might need a double cleanse if you're wearing makeup.
TipWhen wearing makeup, I recommend doing a first cleanse with a gentle cleansing milk, followed by Eucerin's cleansing gel for a thorough cleanse.

It doesn't cause any blemishes.
ConsIt would be better if it felt a bit more hydrating. That's the only downside.

I mainly use it for morning cleansing or as a second cleanser, so I focus more on hydration than cleansing power, and it's average in that regard. It doesn't leave my face feeling tight after use. I remember buying two bottles for around $10-15 during a Gmarket sale. It's good value for the price.
ConsAmong the low pH gels I've used recently, I preferred Equalberry Sauna, then Avène (green one), and lastly Eucerin. I probably won't use Eucerin again. Using two bottles was already tedious enough... It's not bad, but it's not great either.

Highly recommended for combination skin that's oily on the outside but dry on the inside. Five stars! It leaves no deep dryness while effectively removing impurities and excess oil. I've repurchased this multiple times! They claim it even cleanses fine dust, and I truly believe it does. When I use a toner pad after cleansing, nothing comes off! I use it for my second cleanse almost daily, and despite having super sensitive skin prone to irritation, this feels incredibly mild and soothing. The pump lock is convenient, especially in humid bathrooms where you might worry about water getting into pump products. It's a small detail, but it makes a huge difference in ease of use.
ConsAs someone who loves trying different products and tends to be a bit of a skincare nomad, this cleansing gel has finally made me settle down!
TipYou can get a great discount on Hwahae when you buy it as a double pack.

It's said to be good for sensitive skin, but I don't have particularly sensitive skin, so I could use it without any issues.
ConsFirst off, the smell... As other users have mentioned, I wish it were unscented because it really does smell like saliva. Also, it's too slippery... Even though it's mild acidic, the after-feel is really disappointing.

Feels incredibly soft. Keeps skin moisturized throughout cleansing. This isn't an ad or a Hwahae Tester review. Just try it yourself. The hydrating feel sets it apart from other cleansing foams, making it perfect for dry winter skin. It's genuinely moisturizing. 2. It's mildly acidic and doesn't leave skin feeling tight. Yet it still cleanses effectively. That's a win-win situation. 3. Love the minimal ingredient list. It's absolutely fantastic. Few ingredients, only the essentials. No allergens either. It's great. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. I almost regret hesitating due to the price, I'm that satisfied. 4. I've heard Eucerin invests heavily in skin research and development. That's why I appreciate being able to use it more confidently than some trendy, unknown cosmetic brands flooding the market these days.
ConsIt's on the pricier side. Wish they'd offer more promotions. It's a shame to let such a good product go to waste... It doesn't lather up much. If that's a dealbreaker, try something else. Also, some might mistake the hydrating feel for residue. That's likely due to the hyaluronic acid, which could be hit or miss for some.
TipBuy it when it's on sale. Don't simply avoid it because it contains preservatives. Sodium benzoate is fine. It's not an issue at all. Here's another tip, though I'm not sure how valuable it is... Generally, cosmetics from big companies seem better. From experience, the feel is different and their research and development are on another level, making them more stable. You can't ignore their manufacturing facilities either. These days in Korea, due to some major YouTubers pushing weird beauty trends, many unknown cosmetic companies have popped up... Try searching online about where the products you're using are made, the size of the factory, and if they use reliable manufacturing processes. You'd be surprised how easy it is to find this information. As you search, you'll likely be disappointed by many cosmetic companies. Most are just brand companies without proper factories, outsourcing production and doing zero research. I'm not saying all lesser-known products are bad... Anyway, I'll stop here to avoid any misunderstandings. This is just my personal opinion.

ConsIt doesn't lather well, so it's hard to tell if I'm cleaning properly The finish isn't as smooth as I expected, leaving a squeaky-clean feeling I probably won't repurchase this

Just two pumps are enough to create a generous foam. When applied to the face, you might notice a slight detergent-like scent due to the absence of added fragrances or essential oils, which I personally didn't mind. It rinses off easily and leaves the skin feeling less dry after cleansing, which I really appreciated.
ConsThe only minor drawback is that the pump is a bit stiff, making it slightly challenging to dispense the product. Other than that, I have no complaints.

I discovered this product after stubbornly sticking to 'low pH' cleansers due to these skin concerns. I chose it because I don't wear makeup often except for special occasions. On days I do wear makeup, I use micellar water for the first cleanse, followed by this for the second cleanse. It feels sufficient! Being low pH, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, so it's still moisturized after cleansing! I have sensitive skin that immediately turns red and itchy when exposed to allergy-triggering products, but I've never experienced that while using up 3 bottles of this. It's fragrance-free, so it has a mild soap scent, but I don't mind at all. It's not actually dish soap after all, haha! The twist-open cap allows for easy on/off control, so I always pack it worry-free when traveling.
ConsNo downsides! I know some people wait for sales due to the price, but keep in mind that the official Eucerin website often has buy-one-get-one-free deals and other promotions.
TipIt doesn't lather much on its own, so I use a foam maker I bought from Aritaum to create lots of rich foam. It's gentle and works well!
