The smell is the biggest downside, but I still use it despite that.

I purchased this item after seeing it recommended on YouTube, and I've been using it well. 
When I'm on my period or feeling a bit tired, my face tends to break out. That's when I get cystic acne. If I apply this product before bed, it helps calm the breakout or at least speeds up the healing process. 
For stubborn acne that can't be resolved with just acne patches, going to a dermatologist and getting an injection is the best solution. But if that's not an option due to time or other constraints, this product works great as an emergency fix! I highly recommend it as an emergency acne treatment.
The only downside is the strong alcohol smell. It's really pungent. But I can't give up on it because of how effective it is. You can't mix it, just dab the pink powder from the separated layer directly onto the affected area. Regular cotton swabs may be too short, so you'll need to use longer ones once you've used up about half the product.

The only downside is that regular cotton swabs are a bit short, so if you're not careful, they might break off, which makes them a bit inconvenient to use.

I had heard that the product was effective when it could only be purchased through direct import, but I was satisfied with an alternative product since I didn't know how to use it. However, after Sephora entered the Korean market and the brand became available, I rushed to buy the product.
I've been using it for two bottles now, and when pimples/acne are about to surface or have already surfaced, I dip a cotton swab in the pink powder and apply it to the pimples before going to bed. The next day, the pimples have subsided.
It varies depending on the situation, but while it stings a bit at first, if you just bear with it for a little while, it settles down.

It's effective for the type of acne that needs to be extracted, but not as helpful for small, under-the-skin blemishes.

I bought this product to prepare for the occasional acne breakouts that come up once or twice a month. As it's a very well-known item, I had high expectations, and the product has lived up to the hype! 
The product contains a pink powder suspended in a clear liquid. You don't need to shake it, just dip a cotton swab into the solution and dab it directly onto the blemish. Looking at the ingredients, they are all related to oil control, soothing, and blemish care (except for the red iron oxide that gives the pink color... that could have been left out).
If you apply it to a blemish before it fully matures(?), it helps dry out the troubled area - it has a drying, tightening effect. The blemish doesn't get as swollen and inflamed, and it starts to subside. For larger, more developed acne, you can extract it first and then apply the product, which helps it calm down faster.
There is a slight tingling from the alcohol or salicylic acid, but it's not overly irritating or painful, and since it's a spot treatment used in small amounts, it's not a major concern. I'd highly recommend this as an emergency product for those who frequently get blemishes. It's much more effective than the common tea tree-based acne products or blemish gels you see. 
Since you only use a little at a time, a single bottle will last a very long time.

The bottle is longer than a regular cotton swab, so it becomes inconvenient to use the product at the bottom of the bottle as it runs out. Having to use a separate long cotton swab is inconvenient.

I tend to get pimples easily, so I've tried various pink spot treatments from other companies, but none of them compare to this one.
Compared to other brands, the calming effect was stronger, and that's probably why the results were better.
