  I bought this product to prepare for the occasional acne breakouts that come up once or twice a month. As it's a very well-known item, I had high expectations, and the product has lived up to the hype! The product contains a pink powder suspended in a clear liquid. You don't need to shake it, just dip a cotton swab into the solution and dab it directly onto the blemish. Looking at the ingredients, they are all related to oil control, soothing, and blemish care (except for the red iron oxide that gives the pink color... that could have been left out). If you apply it to a blemish before it fully matures(?), it helps dry out the troubled area - it has a drying, tightening effect. The blemish doesn't get as swollen and inflamed, and it starts to subside. For larger, more developed acne, you can extract it first and then apply the product, which helps it calm down faster. There is a slight tingling from the alcohol or salicylic acid, but it's not overly irritating or painful, and since it's a spot treatment used in small amounts, it's not a major concern. I'd highly recommend this as an emergency product for those who frequently get blemishes. It's much more effective than the common tea tree-based acne products or blemish gels you see. Since you only use a little at a time, a single bottle will last a very long time.
