I heard somewhere that if your skin barrier is compromised, you should start by changing your foam cleanser. While looking for a new cleansing foam, I came across a YouTuber recommending this product, saying it's used in hospitals too, so I decided to give it a try. 1. Gentle - Being a bubble formula, it's definitely milder and less irritating than other foam cleansers. It seems suitable for those with super sensitive skin or those prone to irritation. I haven't experienced any blemishes since using this product, and my face feels less tight after use. 2. Slightly acidic - It's great for dry skin types to use in the morning or on makeup-free days. 3. Convenient - These days, some people use foaming nets to reduce irritation, but with this product, you just press and the foam comes out, which is really handy.
Cons1. Cleansing effectiveness - Perhaps due to its mild, slightly acidic nature, the cleansing power is a bit lacking. It doesn't seem to remove makeup very well, so on days when I wear makeup, I use a slightly alkaline cleansing foam or cleansing oil for my first cleanse, followed by this product for my second cleanse. 2. Price - It's expensive... Even when it's on sale... it's still pricey.
TipI have dry skin, so I usually cleanse with a slightly acidic foam cleanser, and once or twice a week, I use a slightly alkaline foam cleanser. I've heard some people use a slightly acidic cleanser in the morning and a slightly alkaline one in the evening. According to that YouTuber, the products sold in Olive Young are different from those used in hospitals (I can't remember exactly what the difference was), so I bought mine from the official website.

However, my dermatologist recommended this product because washing with just water was causing fungal growth and worsening my skin condition. ✔ Having sensitive skin, I'm always nervous about trying new skincare products. I used this with some trepidation, but thankfully, it didn't cause any blemishes. ✔ After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel dry at all, but rather hydrated. ✔ The foam format makes it very convenient - just pump and apply. The foam stays soft and fluffy without disappearing quickly, which is quite satisfying. One pump is enough to cleanse my entire face. ✔ The scent is very subtle, almost fragrance-free. It's not completely scentless, but as you massage it on your face, you might catch a faint whiff - or maybe not. ✔ The large volume lasts a long time. Initially, I used it twice daily, and later, even when I applied sunscreen, I'd cleanse twice each time. It still lasted for 5 months. ✔ The pump is sturdy and durable.
Cons✔ While it's not overpriced for the volume, the initial cost can be a bit steep. ✔ The cleansing effectiveness isn't extraordinary, so it's best as a second cleanser. If you're using this alone, you might need to cleanse twice.
TipSince the foam doesn't disappear quickly, I can focus on massaging the areas with blemishes. This helps reduce pimples faster, which is great!
