I suddenly developed a lot of red blemishes on my skin, so I did some research and found out it was due to a damaged skin barrier. I heard somewhere that if your skin barrier is compromised, you should start by changing your foam cleanser. While looking for a new cleansing foam, I came across a YouTuber recommending this product, saying it's used in hospitals too, so I decided to give it a try. 1. Gentle - Being a bubble formula, it's definitely milder and less irritating than other foam cleansers. It seems suitable for those with super sensitive skin or those prone to irritation. I haven't experienced any blemishes since using this product, and my face feels less tight after use. 2. Slightly acidic - It's great for dry skin types to use in the morning or on makeup-free days. 3. Convenient - These days, some people use foaming nets to reduce irritation, but with this product, you just press and the foam comes out, which is really handy. 1. Cleansing effectiveness - Perhaps due to its mild, slightly acidic nature, the cleansing power is a bit lacking. It doesn't seem to remove makeup very well, so on days when I wear makeup, I use a slightly alkaline cleansing foam or cleansing oil for my first cleanse, followed by this product for my second cleanse. 2. Price - It's expensive... Even when it's on sale... it's still pricey. I have dry skin, so I usually cleanse with a slightly acidic foam cleanser, and once or twice a week, I use a slightly alkaline foam cleanser. I've heard some people use a slightly acidic cleanser in the morning and a slightly alkaline one in the evening. According to that YouTuber, the products sold in Olive Young are different from those used in hospitals (I can't remember exactly what the difference was), so I bought mine from the official website. - ji*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 3, 2025
My mother and I have been using this for years on our dermatologist's recommendation, and it's perfect for morning cleansing! Being mildly acidic, it's gentle on the skin and a great all-rounder. Plus, it's so convenient that you don't need to work up a lather yourself! Hmm... I can't think of any major drawbacks. Perhaps the only issue is that since it's mildly acidic, it might struggle to remove stubborn products like sunscreen? - ne*****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedApr 25, 2025
The Atobarrier Foaming Cleanser EX is a low pH cleanser that allows for a gentle cleansing while maintaining skin hydration. As someone with super sensitive skin prone to deep dryness, I've found that using cleansers with strong cleansing effectiveness often disrupts my oil and moisture balance, inevitably leading to blemishes. Since I rarely wear heavy makeup, I strictly stick to low pH cleansers. A common issue with low pH cleansers is that they don't produce rich, abundant foam, often leaving a residual feeling after washing. However, the Atobarrier Foaming Cleanser EX comes in a foam type. With just a pump, it dispenses a soft, fluffy foam that allows for effortless, irritation-free cleansing. What I love most is that there's no feeling of tightness after cleansing. While its cleansing effectiveness might be on the milder side, it seems to adequately remove light sunscreen and BB cream. What really convinces me of its gentle nature is that even if I open my eyes while cleansing, there's hardly any stinging or burning sensation. It truly feels like a very mild product. If you're in search of a gentle, low pH cleanser, I highly recommend this one. The price isn't particularly cheap for the amount you get. However, it does produce a good amount of foam, so one pump is usually sufficient for a full cleanse. When I'm wearing makeup, I use a cleansing milk first and then use this as my second cleanser. - ch********Combination SkinSensitive SkinJul 25, 2024
I loved how gentle it was on my skin. It lathers up nicely, and I felt like my skin was improving with every wash. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin, especially in hot weather. It's better suited for people with dry skin. - a0**********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJul 25, 2024

As someone with sensitive skin, I've been sticking to medical-grade products. This one is reassuring because it's hospital-grade, and it's gentle enough for even children to use without irritation. I love that it comes in a large size and foams up nicely - that's my favorite part! While the size is generous, it's a bit disappointing that there are no discounts available on the price. - st*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 27, 2024
I was surprised by how strong the cleansing effectiveness was, despite the gentle feel of the foam It left my skin feeling too squeaky clean and dry, so it doesn't seem to suit me This might be good for those who don't have super sensitive skin - lo******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 2, 2024
This product cleanses gently, which is great. It's not too drying for those with dry skin, which I really appreciated. Being fragrance-free and in a pump bottle makes it convenient to use. For heavy makeup, I might opt for a more effective cleanser. I find myself using this product more often when I'm wearing light makeup. Make sure to work up a good lather when using it. - su*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 4, 2023
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, sensitive skin, and blemish-prone skin, I'm extremely careful about all the products I use on my face. After trying the Aestura Foaming Cleanser at my dermatologist's office and experiencing its gentle, non-irritating feel, I decided to order it. I've been using it every single day and absolutely love it! However, as someone with oily skin, I found the cleansing effectiveness a bit weak for my needs. Still, it's great as a gentle, non-irritating morning cleanser! - bl********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 17, 2023
I've been using this comfortably for my morning cleanse. Even though the cream doesn't suit me, I can't let go of Aestura... The scent and feel are similar to Zeroid foam cleanser. I'm not sure about its cleansing effectiveness. The foam itself isn't very dense, it feels like a light lather.
