After using the regular yellow-packaged Aekyung hand soap, I decided to try this one when I saw it on sale at Costco. It produces a rich lather that makes hand washing quick and effective. Compared to standard hand washes, this one seems to prioritize hydration, leaving your hands feeling moisturized. There's noticeably less dryness after use. I got a great deal at Costco with two full-size bottles plus a refill, making it quite cost-effective. The fragrance is overpowering. It's particularly problematic when cooking after washing your hands, as the strong scent lingers. I found out there's an unscented version available, but it's not easily spotted in stores. Given that fragrances aren't particularly beneficial for our bodies, I'm questioning whether I need a scented hand soap at all. I probably won't repurchase for this reason. Additionally, as shown in the photo, red mold tends to grow around the pump area. The design seems to allow water to collect easily, and despite wiping it down multiple times, the mold keeps reappearing. This is an issue that needs addressing. When choosing hand soaps, it's important to consider factors beyond just cleansing effectiveness. While this product offers good value and moisturizing properties, the strong fragrance and potential for mold growth are significant drawbacks. For those with sensitive skin or who prefer unscented products, it might be worth seeking out the fragrance-free version or exploring other options. The hygiene concern with the pump design is particularly noteworthy and something the manufacturer should look into improving. - tp*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsFeb 2, 2025
I couldn't find any positive aspects. I usually prefer other colors of The Hwahae Testers like green or yellow, but I bought this product on sale in bulk at the supermarket. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. - It's sticky While the regular line of The Hwahae Testers is fine, this premium product is sticky due to some added ingredients. Even after thoroughly rinsing my hands, there's a subtle stickiness. This is most noticeable when applying skincare products right after washing hands or when using cleansing oils for face washing. At first, I wondered why my hands felt sticky, but I realized it was because of this hand wash. I think they might have added extra moisturizing ingredients to make it a premium product. As a result, it feels like there's a thin film left on your hands after washing, causing the stickiness. - There's a strange smell when first pumping When you first pump it out, there's an unpleasant odor that rises up. It does disappear as you rub it on your hands, but it was really bothersome. I had to use about 3 bottles since I bought it in bulk, and all 3 bottles had the same issue. So it seems to be a characteristic of this product. That strong, odd smell hits you with every first pump. Due to these issues, I don't recommend this product.
