When the natural oil ampoule didn't suit me and caused itchiness and breakouts, the Madagascar skin and lotion immediately calmed my skin. For dry skin, the skin and lotion may be a bit drying as they lack oil. I also find that when I apply them just once, I feel a slight dryness, so I layer them 3 times to make my skin feel comfortable. I'm looking for a skincare product that can make my skin feel comfortable without any dryness when applied just once, but even after trying various products (Royal Honey series from Skinfood, Physiogel, The Saem, Real Barrier, etc.), I haven't found anything as soothing and non-irritating as the Madagascar products.
ConsThe skin and lotion take some time to absorb into the skin. If I apply a large amount at once, it takes a long time to absorb. I find it a bit tedious, but I lightly pat on a small amount in 3 layers to help it absorb into my face. (Applying a large amount at once can lead to dryness and slow absorption.) Even if the lotion seems to just sit on the surface of my face and not absorb, if I gently pat it in, it quickly gets absorbed and feels great.

As someone with dry skin, I order this lotion first thing when winter comes. - The sense of stability from the abundant centella asiatica ingredients?
Cons- The worst application It has a difficult-to-apply texture that requires applying it in multiple layers. When rubbing it on the face, it feels like it's not absorbing at all. No matter how much I apply, it just sits on top of the skin, feeling like spraying water on a waterproofed umbrella.
Tip- Squeeze out a small amount and use your entire palm to envelop the skin, gently patting it in to help the skin absorb it. I usually apply it twice.

I'm not a big fan of fragranced products, so the almost unscented nature of this was good. The affordable price is definitely an advantage as well!
ConsIt takes a while to absorb... It requires a lot of patience and waiting. And it has a somewhat oily(?) feeling, but once it's absorbed, it's not oily at all - it's actually quite drying. It may be insufficient as a lotion, but it's unusually drying, so after waiting for it to absorb, you'll need to immediately apply a cream on top because it feels so tight.
TipIf you apply too much at once when it's drying, the time it takes to fully absorb will just keep increasing indefinitely... Even if it all eventually does get absorbed, you'll still feel dryness, so just use a moderate amount and then move on to using a cream.
