It feels like it somewhat delays the appearance of wrinkles. It's great to use as part of your nighttime facial routine. If you have sensitive skin, it's best to avoid using it under your eyes. For those with super sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend using it daily. - ji******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedNov 23, 2024
I've been using this retinol product for over 5 years, as it's one of the frontrunners in the market. I consistently apply it to my crow's feet, nasolabial folds, and pores around the nose. While it may not eliminate deep wrinkles, it feels like it prevents fine lines, so I plan to continue using it. I typically use the 0.3% concentration, but switch to 0.1% when my skin is super sensitive. It's gentle enough to use without causing major irritation. The price is a bit steep... However, I keep using it because of the reliable manufacturer and trusted brand. A tip for consistent use: stick with 0.3% normally, and switch to 0.1% when your skin is sensitive. Sometimes, trying to see results with 0.3% can lead to skin irritation, so it's crucial to carefully assess your skin condition and decide whether to use it or not. - ke****Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 31, 2024
Applying just a rice-grain amount to problem areas, as if using an eye cream, worked well for me. Despite being my first time using retinol, I experienced no blemishes or irritation. The packaging seems well-designed to prevent air exposure until it's fully opened. While consistent application is key, the results aren't as groundbreaking as the price suggests. It's likely most effective for those in their late 20s to early 30s, before deep wrinkles set in. However, the catch is that it's quite expensive to start using at that age. - in********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedSep 29, 2024
It absorbs well and has a pleasant scent. I have sensitive skin, but by starting with small amounts and gradually getting used to it, I didn't experience any breakouts or blemishes. The only downside is that it's quite expensive. But since it's said to be effective, I have no choice but to use it. - ku***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinJun 9, 2024
After applying, my skin feels firm and plump the next day! I didn't notice any significant changes, and worst of all, if you don't control the amount well, it can cause skin irritation... - ma*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 4, 2024
Usage: 1 bottle Note: Currently renewed as Wrinkle Corrector This is a review of the IOPE Retinol Cream from a retinol devotee and lover. After learning about the benefits of retinol, I started with Laneige Perfect Renew Youth Retinol Pro (0.045% concentration, now discontinued), then moved to the retinol powerhouse IOPE Retinol Expert (0.1% concentration, now discontinued), and I'm currently using both IOPE Retinol Wrinkle Corrector 0.1% and 0.3% (not to mention other retinol serums too!). Impressions after use: 1. As mentioned, retinol is a potent ingredient, so I gradually increased the concentration. However, I've never had adverse reactions to functional ingredients (fermented, EGF&FGF, vitamins, etc.) before, and this product was no exception. I didn't experience any temporary dead skin cell prominence, tingling, or blemishes. 2. Personally, I'm satisfied with the results. I apply it to my eye area, nasolabial folds, center of the forehead, and cheek butterfly zone. While it hasn't completely eliminated existing wrinkles after over a year of use, I feel that the previously prominent eye, under-eye, and nasolabial folds that appeared with facial muscle movement when smiling have somewhat faded. I'm using it to prevent further deepening of these lines, considering aging factors. I recently started using the 0.3% and am expecting even better results! 3. Since retinol is sensitive to oxidation from oxygen and light, they've applied a 3-step oxygen barrier system to the packaging. Some people use 5ml mini sizes for freshness, but I don't trust the smaller packaging as much, so I stick with the larger size. Although it's a bit pricey, I'll continue using it until a better product comes along. Texture: It's a pale yellow cream with a typical eye cream consistency. Generally, higher concentrations of retinol (Vitamin A) and Vitamin C products tend to have a more yellow tint. It absorbs well and has a smooth application. Ingredients: While there's fragrance and one cautionary ingredient, I'm still incredibly grateful for this formulation. I usually avoid cautionary ingredients in basic skincare, but knowing the benefits of retinol and IOPE's technology, I'll continue using it for anti-aging purposes. Price: The price is quite steep. I use it with high expectations, but the sad fact is that the retail price for the same 30ml has increased by 10,000 won compared to the pre-renewal version, making it even more burdensome. Volume: The Expert 0.1% used to come in a 20ml size, but this Wrinkle Corrector is only available in 30ml. Given retinol's tendency to oxidize when exposed to oxygen and light, I worry about decreased efficacy with prolonged use after opening. It would be great if they offered both small and large sizes like Laneige products, giving us more options. Concentration: It's a shame that the 0.2% product was discontinued before I even had a chance to try it. The 0.3% is recommended for use every other day, while the 0.1% feels a bit weak. IOPE, could you please bring back the 0.2% concentration? - so***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 23, 2023
I absolutely loved the firm, bouncy texture. It felt like my fine lines were instantly smoothed out. While the quantity might seem a bit small for the price, the performance is truly outstanding. - as******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 2, 2023
Dec 1, 2023 (Fri) As a devoted fan of Amore Pacific's IOPE brand, I've always been curious about this product. I finally got the chance to try a small size. While I wanted to start with the 0.3% retinol, I began with this lower concentration. Initially, I experienced significant dead skin cell buildup, but once my skin adjusted, I switched to the 0.3%. I applied it meticulously to all my wrinkles, from fine lines to deeper creases, as it's said to be effective for wrinkles. I'm genuinely passionate about IOPE and have been consistently using and observing their products. IOPE definitely delivers quality, albeit at a higher price point. However, their excessive marketing can be off-putting. It's puzzling why good products like the 0.2% retinol and others have been discontinued. Whether it's due to challenging user experience or low profitability, I'm not sure, but as a fan, it's disappointing. Back to this product - I was initially surprised by the dead skin cell buildup, as I usually don't have skin issues. But I wasn't too shocked since I'd read about this possibility. I may have been too eager to see results (for wrinkles) and didn't give my skin enough time to adapt. I was intrigued by retinol's effectiveness for vertical pores, firmness, and wrinkles, as well as IOPE's proprietary technology. I waited until the dead skin cell buildup subsided. Interestingly, I didn't experience any issues even with solo use in winter. Now that my skin has adjusted, I'd love to use it consistently, but the price per volume is quite steep. With retinol being trendy, other brands are launching similar products at various price points, making the decision harder. The 0.3% retinol has 10ml less volume but is pricier than the 0.1%... Still, I'm using it well. I'll have to reconsider after I finish this bottle. Compared to other products on the market, it's quite expensive for its volume. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2023
The container design, typical of retinol products, is very convenient as it allows for dispensing the right amount. The texture absorbs well without feeling too slippery or leaving residue. The scent is not overpowering or irritating. With consistent nightly use, I've noticed a subtle reduction in the overall depth of my wrinkles. While there are no significant functional issues, it does require a bit of effort to squeeze the product out of the container. Apply this in the evening after cleansing, toner, ampoule, and essence. In the morning, be sure to use sunscreen as it's absolutely necessary. - jo********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 12, 2023
As a fan of retinol products, I've tried several, and I snagged this one at a great price with a discount coupon. It absorbs well and isn't irritating to the skin. The ingredients aren't completely clean, and unfortunately, you can't purchase the 3-piece set on Hwahae.
