Skin type: Dry to combination (After cleansing: dry, after water wash: combination, 2 hours after makeup: oily) ✔️(Purchased directly from Japan) ✔️Texture: I was a bit worried when I saw it was called a lotion, as I don't usually like lotions (they often feel like they're missing either moisture or oil and end up feeling detached). But this is completely watery. The last photo shows a bit on my wrist, and it just drips down like artificial tears (the amount is small right now, about the size of a bean). ✔️Absorption: It absorbs well into the skin. However, if you only use a little bit at a time, it can feel like it's absorbed too quickly and you haven't applied enough. So I layer it, applying it several times (but don't rub it in a lot, just lightly press it onto the face). I wait in between applications and then move on to the next skincare step. Even with just this, my skin feels very moisturized. ✔️Application: Since it's watery, it applies lightly! There's no richness or oiliness at all, so even oily skin types can use it comfortably. Of course, dry skin types will need to layer other moisturizing products on top. I do find it leaves a slightly slippery feeling as I layer it, but that's never been an issue. ✔️Breakouts: I haven't experienced any breakouts from using this. ✔️Usage: I use it twice a day, morning and night. I don't apply a large amount at once, but rather use the 3-4 skin method, applying it in several light layers.

A few years ago, I happened to use the Hwahae ampoule and it was so good that I looked it up online, but it seems to have been discontinued. I thought it might be available in Japan, so I looked for it when I traveled there, but couldn't find it. I had to use a moisturizing cream and a sleeping pack just to feel like my skin was somewhat hydrated.
