This is a direct and honest review from the Hwahae Trial Reviewer! I have combination skin - oily in the T-zone and dry on the cheeks! I've tried using this Cynic Pad as a cleansing pad as well as a face mask. I'll explain how it performed in different categories. ✔️Packaging Some toner or essence pads have a twist-off cap, but this product has a flip-top lid, which is really convenient! After washing my face, I can just flip the lid up to access the pad immediately.😉 ✔️Fragrance It's fragrance-free! The lack of added fragrances is a plus for the skin. However, this was also a downside for me personally. I'll explain this in more detail in the cons section. ✔️Moisturizing Unlike other cleansing pads, this is an essence pad, so the moisturizing power is amazing! After using it as a cleansing pad, my skin feels just like I've applied a lotion. And when I use it as a face mask, my skin feels soft and supple, with a lasting sense of hydration. The amount of essence is also really generous! So it's fun to press down on the pad with the tweezers to watch the essence ooze out. ✔️Pad It's so soft and smooth! I was worried the lack of embossing wouldn't work well for cleansing, but it actually picks up dirt and impurities really well. However, since it's an essence pad, it's better suited for use as a face mask rather than a cleansing pad. And I usually store my sheet masks in the fridge, so using this chilled feels really refreshing! ✔️Price Personally, my cheeks are dry but my T-zone is oily, so using a regular face mask can be too much for my forehead and nose. That's why I like using this product just on my cheeks as a spot treatment. With 60 pads total, it's 22,000 won for 30 uses (2 pads per use), which isn't super expensive but still feels a bit pricey. ✨Gentle I have sensitive dry skin, and on days when there is a lot of dust, my skin often gets irritated. So when choosing basic skincare products, the most important things I look for are whether they don't hurt when applied and whether they continue to be safe for my skin! However, with this product, I didn't feel any unpleasant sensations when using it, and my skin didn't have any particular issues even with continued use, so I felt it was gentle. ✨Moisturizing💦 I didn't really expect much moisturizing power from a pad product. I thought it would just be good for removing residue or using as a mini-pack. But the pad was surprisingly very moist, and there was a lot of essence absorbed in each pad, which really surprised me. Pros
I have sensitive, dry, and flushed skin with a lot of heat sensation. My skin is so sensitive and dry that most cosmetics quickly dry out my skin or cause severe itching, so I even had to take steroids for a long time. (Although I've stopped taking the medication, it's still an ongoing process.) The cream essence was too burdensome to scoop out with my bare hands, but they provided a plastic tweezer for the pads, which I was touched by the thoughtfulness. The essence is generously filled at the bottom, and the pads are highly absorbent, making them perfect for immediately relieving heat sensation and providing quick hydration after cleansing or showering. After gently smoothing the skin, placing one pad on each cheek makes the skin feel moist and soft. The pads are very soft and moist! I thought they would be thick since they're described as having 3 layers, but they were just the right thickness - not too thin to the point of tearing, and not too thick to irritate the skin. For some reason, using this product made me think of the La*ze Quick Cream Skin Pads. This is similar, but I think this one is even gentler. Personally, the La*ze Cream Skin didn't work well for me, causing severe itching and scratching until it bled, but this one seems to be a better fit. Even with my extremely dry skin, when the flaky skin around my eyes and lips becomes a problem, gently pressing this on and leaving it for about 3 minutes, then lightly wiping it off, can gently remove the flakes without irritation. As a flaky-skinned person, it seems to lift the dead skin that needs to come off while calming the rest. Please don't vigorously rub the flaky skin, as those are still part of your skin's outer layer that will eventually shed naturally. I've been using this morning and evening, and it's been easy to use without any issues. My routine is: Avène Mist - Cystic Super Moist Cream Essence Pads (for light skin smoothing and as a face mask, selectively on days with a lot of heat sensation) - Ampoule - Moisturizer - Occlusive Cream or Nourishing Cream.

I have extremely sensitive skin that is very prone to dryness. No matter what product I use, my skin becomes irritated, flushed, and breaks out during the adjustment period.
