Skin type: Dehydrated dry skin, slightly oily forehead, dry U-zone, good pores, minor blackheads, occasional small blemishes (forehead, between eyebrows, under chin), sensitive atopic skin, and a few freckles. This is an incredibly gentle cleansing water. As someone with atopic skin, Avène mist is my holy grail mist! The cleansing water is also non-irritating and hydrating, making it suitable for all skin types, including atopic and super sensitive skin. I use it with a foam dispenser, and it's so gentle that the foam quickly dissipates, showing how water-like the consistency is.

Pros
It removes makeup incredibly gently and leaves your skin feeling hydrated. Even when rubbing with a cotton pad, it doesn't cause much irritation and effectively removes makeup when the pad is sufficiently soaked. I only use this or oil cleansers! I buy the large size and it lasts for ages. Olive Young often has buy-one-get-one-free deals too!

There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. It works really well for me!

Pros
You only need about 3 cotton pads to thoroughly remove your makeup with a cleansing water! Those of you hoping a cleansing water can remove even your mascara might be disappointed... Using a dedicated eye makeup remover is the quickest way to wipe away your eye makeup completely. My skin is quite thin and sensitive, but I didn't feel any irritation or stinging at all! It's really gentle and mild. I also use a cleansing balm, so I was able to use the 500ml bottles for a very long time - about a year, I think.
Cons
I used it without any issues, so there's nothing I'm particularly unhappy about.
Tip
If you gently press and wipe, it will remove makeup even more effectively.

There are various types of cleansing waters, such as pump-type, but I found the type that you can directly apply to a cotton pad to be very convenient! I liked that I could easily soak the cotton pad with just the right amount of product. I also used the Avène cream previously, and the ingredients worked well for my skin. The cleansing water also gently agreed with my skin without any irritation. The cleansing power was excellent, removing even stubborn makeup! While it's said that separate face washing is not necessary, I still do an extra cleanse, but the water-based formula rinses off so cleanly that just wiping with water is sufficient!!! The volume is not too small, just the right amount. I think I'll buy the Avène cleansing water again next time. 😊 Lastly, since it's a water-based formula, the skin may feel a bit tight after use if you don't follow up with a moisturizer or cream. So it's best to quickly apply a lotion to prevent dryness.

I always use it and it seems to cleanse well and be moisturizing. It was particularly good when my skin was sensitive as it was not irritating.
Cons
The bottle cap breaks easily. Please change it to a sturdier one.

Combination/Normal Skin I think I've used at least 6 bottles by now!! I've been using cleansing water for my morning face wash for years, and I feel like I've tried a lot of different ones. There were a lot of cleansing waters that stung my eyes, but this one is really gentle and doesn't sting at all!! Of course, I've tried the famous Sensibio too, and that didn't sting either, but I personally felt the Avène one was better. It's not super moisturizing or removes makeup super easily, but in terms of gentleness, it's the best!!
Cons
Makeup like mascara that's difficult to remove is hard to take off, but other than that, there don't seem to be any downsides!
