I can't really comment on the positives since I've only used it once I bought this because it was supposed to be good for sensitive skin... but my skin reacted terribly! While the serum was okay when I tested it, the toner immediately caused a bad reaction.

However, recently, as I've been swimming regularly and spending long hours in the water, combined with the seasonal changes of fall, my skin became extremely dry, irritated, and even developed fine lines. Since toners help balance skin pH, I decided to give this one another try. To my surprise, it made my skin hydrated, firm, and plump, significantly improving both the fine lines and extreme dryness! Given that I'm constantly exposed to water and shower frequently, my skin was in pretty bad shape. But after just a few days of use, I've seen such noticeable improvements that I now consider this an excellent toner. It's perfect for: - Skin with disrupted pH due to frequent cleansing and showering - Extremely dry skin - Skin lacking both moisture and oil If your skin already has a balanced pH (skin should naturally be slightly acidic), using this toner might make it too acidic, leading to stinging and breakouts. Compared to regular toners, this serum-in-toner absorbs into the skin with a more bouncy and hydrating feel, which I loved! It surprisingly helps with deep dryness too! It seems perfect for days when you don't want to apply heavy products or when you want to keep your skincare routine simple. When my skin was in good condition, I felt it really helped even out my skin texture. The fragrance is a bit strong. When I had blemishes or excess sebum, it left a slight residue on my skin, and I didn't feel like it improved or calmed my skin. It's perfect for my skin, but I just noticed it contains some potentially harmful ingredients Apart from the ingredients, I have no complaints. I can't believe I only just discovered this... After searching for calming toners, I unexpectedly found my skin's health improving with this genius serum+toner combo. 1. It absorbs well, and at first I thought, 'Wait, is this too moisturizing? Will it make my skin oily?' But it quickly absorbs, leaving my skin feeling fresh. It truly feels like the toner is being drawn into my skin! I've tried all sorts of toners, but this sensation is a first♡♡ 2. I've been using it with the genius serum for two weeks before applying makeup in the morning, and my skin texture has improved, making my makeup go on smoother. 3. While it's not primarily focused on soothing, so there's no immediate calming effect, it works wonderfully to maintain the calm state after using other soothing products. As someone prone to blemishes, I've tried countless products and rarely use the same one repeatedly... but I think I'll keep using this toner and serum♡ It's so good that I'm almost afraid to try anything else! I liked the rose scent, but it has a distinct rose fragrance that some people might not enjoy. It could feel heavy for those with oily skin. Also, while it's fine in the morning, when I use it as a toner pack instead of just patting it in at night, my face feels warm. I wonder why that happens... Since I have dry skin, I pat it in twice! On dry days like this, I find myself reaching for it so often. I used to only use a very light water-based toner, but it wasn't quite enough. This toner, however, has a delightful bouncy texture that clings to the skin, giving a satisfying feeling when applied (though that's just my personal preference). These days, when wearing a mask, applying serums or ampoules can make the skin feel stuffy and suffocated, but going too light can leave it dry. My routine now involves using a very light toner or skin pack, then applying this product instead of a serum, finishing with a hydrating moisturizer before putting on my mask. True to its 'serum-in-toner' name, it feels like I've applied both a toner and a serum, which is why I'm loving it lately. Even with four pads and three toners on my vanity, I find myself constantly reaching for this product. While I use it frequently, it runs out too quickly. I felt like it somewhat smoothed out my skin texture... To be honest, I'm not sure about anything else. I bought it because a YouTuber recommended it, but I guess ads are ads after all. The scent is really... At first, it seems just sweet, but as you keep smelling it, it starts to resemble the odor you get in hair salons during perms or hair coloring. Personally, I find it awful. It's almost headache-inducing. I don't understand why they chose this fragrance when adding a scent. Because of the smell, it doesn't feel like it would be good for the skin. No matter how effective it might be, I won't repurchase due to the fragrance.

The serum-in-toner feels extra hydrating. While the sample comes in plastic, I've heard the full-size serum and cream are in glass containers. As someone who's prone to dropping things, that material choice makes me a bit nervous.

So I decided to just buy the serum for now and use the toner sample that came with it! After cleansing, I always use this to refine my skin texture, and it's absolutely amazing. It has a nice cooling effect, feels hydrating, and I can really notice my skin improving. Once I finish this sample, I'm definitely purchasing the full-size product! There are absolutely no downsides! Personally, I'm in love with this entire Powerful Genius line... Using this toner together with the Powerful Genius Serum is a match made in heaven for your skincare routine!
