This is fantastic for dry or combination dehydrated skin, especially extremely dry skin! How does it moisturize so well with such little oiliness? I love its rich texture and it feels so nourishing. The ingredients seem great, and the large size is a bonus. The price is good, and being vegan makes it even better. Please don't discontinue this product! There weren't any particular downsides. If you have dry skin, you absolutely must try this! I highly recommend it! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 4, 2022
This is a product I always use, and it's great for dry skin. One application keeps my skin moisturized for a long time without feeling dry. It might not be suitable for oily skin, but it's perfect for the severe dryness of winter. Oh, and be careful when applying around the eyes - it can sting if it gets in! - 07*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 8, 2022
This cream stays true to the basics. It worked well for my dry skin. I appreciate that it doesn't cause any blemishes, probably due to its gentle ingredients. It pairs nicely with other cosmetics without pilling. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. While it doesn't provide dramatic skin changes, it does make my skin feel comfortable. However, when my oily-skinned husband uses it, he breaks out. - km*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2021
1) Hydration: 3/5 First off, the hydration wasn't particularly impressive for me. I usually have dry skin, so I tend to go for heavier products like Physiogel. This product, despite being marketed as a deeply moisturizing cream, felt quite light. (This may vary depending on skin type) The container has a small opening, allowing for precise control over the amount dispensed. To boost hydration, you might need to apply more, which is a bit disappointing considering the small 80ml size and the regular price of 34,000 won (though you can find it on sale for around 20,000 won) if you have dry skin. As someone with extremely dry skin, I find it suitable for light application in summer when wearing a mask. 2) Absorption: 4/5 Despite being a 'moisturizing cream', I was pleased with how quickly it absorbs into the skin. 3) Non-sticky: 4/5 Usually, the higher the moisture and oil content, the stickier a product feels. However, this cream doesn't feel sticky at all. 4) Overall user experience: 3/5 Like other products from this line, it's free from potential irritants and allergens, making it gentle and light for everyday use. It might not be hydrating enough for extremely dry skin... But it's great to apply before bedtime! - wl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 28, 2021
Skin type: In summer, I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, while in winter, my skin becomes extremely dry, leading to atopic dermatitis on my cheeks. - The product has a rich texture, but once applied, it leaves no sticky feeling and finishes with a soft, powdery touch. - It provides ample hydration. - It feels insufficient when used alone during winter. - Strangely, when I apply makeup over this product, it causes my foundation to pill. Therefore, I don't recommend using it before makeup application. - ar******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 29, 2021
This cream is the hydration king! As someone with extremely dry skin, I used to rely on Vaseline in winter. But this cream is lighter yet just as moisturizing. It feels unique when applying - like a water-infused oil cream? Love that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. If you don't have very dry skin, it might be too rich for daily use both day and night. It's best for winter or nighttime use. Even with my dry skin, I don't reach for it much in spring and summer. - hi*****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedFeb 11, 2021
*Skin Type I have combination skin with oily, sebum-prone areas around my nose, but dry U-zone. I'm also prone to blemishes, and sometimes my skin becomes sensitive due to my tendency to pick at it. I chose this product because it's slightly acidic, offers good hydration, and helps with skin barrier care. 1) Hydration & Application Initially, I thought the texture was richer than expected, but when applied, it's neither sticky nor greasy and absorbs well. At first, I felt the hydration was less than anticipated, but after a month of use, I noticed a reduction in deep dryness and overall improvement in skin texture. Now, my skin feels soft after application, and the hydration lasts longer. A major strength is its ability to provide good hydration without making the skin oily or shiny. 2) Effectiveness While it may not be as focused on soothing effects as some cica creams, it caused no irritation when applied to blemish-prone areas. Though it didn't dramatically calm breakouts, there was a general sense of the skin becoming more settled. The soothing effect isn't dramatic, but it's noticeable. I'm still using this product and feel my skin barrier is improving. 3) Non-irritating, No Breakouts As mentioned, there was no irritation even when applied to sensitive areas like blemish scars. Throughout use, this product never caused breakouts. While I still get occasional blemishes in the usual spots, they seem to have decreased overall as my skin barrier improved and my complexion became more even. 4) Fragrance It can be considered fragrance-free. Personally, I prefer unscented products, so this is a satisfying aspect for me. The product description claimed it would improve skin redness, but I didn't really notice this effect. However, it wasn't something I was particularly expecting, so it didn't bother me much. Those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy for summer use. I recommend testing it at an Olive Young store before purchasing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 24, 2021
Skin type: Sensitive skin with large pores and oily T-zone and cheeks (prone to acne during menstrual cycle) I was looking for a soothing and hydrating cream when I came across this well-reviewed product at Olive Young. Unfortunately, from the day after I started using it, I noticed blemishes appearing. I tried it for 3 more days just in case, but... it just didn't work for me. However, it suits my sister with dry and sensitive skin well, so she's using it instead. The good points were... it seemed to help balance oil and moisture levels somewhat? When I first applied it, it absorbed well, and the texture wasn't too thick. It didn't feel sticky, and there was no heavy feeling after application, which I liked. Especially the next morning after applying it at night, I was pleasantly surprised that my skin didn't produce as much oil as expected. 1. Caused small bumps... I generally like Make P:rem products for their good ingredients, but this cream and their foam cleanser don't seem to agree with my skin. I applied the Soon Jung Cica Balm on the left side of my face and the Make P:rem cream on the right. The next day, three blemishes appeared only on the right side... Interestingly, two pimples that had appeared on the left side the day before had significantly subsided by morning. 2. Below average hydration longevity I was disappointed by the poor lasting hydration of both the Soon Jung Cica Balm and this product. The Make P:rem cream was slightly better than the Soon Jung one, but I still felt dry within 30 minutes of application and had to reapply. The deep dryness after absorption was unavoidable. * Panthenol content comparison: Soon Jung Panthensoside 10 Cica Balm 10% > Mega Madecanol 7% > Safe Me. Relief Intensive CP Cream 5% I won't be repurchasing this. I bought it on sale for about 19,000 won, but I have no intention of buying it again. If you're considering purchasing, make sure to get it at a discounted price! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 5, 2021
The name 'CP Cream' hints at its star ingredients - ceramides and panthenol, which are known to be great for strengthening the skin barrier and providing hydration! It's packed full of these beneficial components. What's more, it's a vegan-certified product, which honestly made me feel good about using it. (Even the box tape and inner packaging were paper when it arrived...!) I think it would be perfect for those with dry skin to lock in moisture during the winter months. Even with my oily skin, I found the hydration to be really impressive. Also, sensitive skin types can use this with confidence - it's fragrance-free, slightly acidic, and didn't sting even when applied to broken skin! I've previously used separate products containing panthenol and ceramides. While panthenol worked well for me, I remember avoiding ceramide products because they felt too rich on my oily skin. Perhaps because of this, I found this product to feel quite heavy and greasy on my oily skin, which I didn't particularly enjoy... Highly recommended for dry and sensitive skin types. If you have oily skin but struggle with combination dehydrated skin, consider using this only in winter or opt for a lighter cream instead!
