I have small eyes that can look a bit cramped, so I follow the rule of avoiding black eye makeup. That's why my eyeliner, mascara, and eyebrow products are all in brown shades! However, I hadn't found a mascara I really liked until I tried the Ipkn Asia-cara. I'm quite impressed with it. First off, it's definitely a brown shade. I've seen many 'brown' products that are almost black, but shade #1 isn't like that at all. It's a deep brown that's clearly different from black, making my eyes look soft yet defined. I've been using it for both everyday looks and special occasions. I'm also loving shade #2! The staying power is a bit disappointing. It curls the lashes well, but I can't say it lasts very long. Though that might be because I have slightly hooded eyelids... Still, I can't give it up because of the color, hehe. - an*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 4, 2025
If you're in the know, you're aware that Lipcone is a goldmine for cosmetics. I've been using their powder and primer, but this time I decided to try their mascara too! They say it's designed specifically for Asian eyes, and I was curious to see how different it would be. Let me tell you, it's a total game-changer for those of us with hooded eyelids who often struggle with mascara smudging or transferring. The wand's curve seems tailor-made for eyes with more prominent lids, which really suits my preferences! While I usually go for black mascara, the Mushroom Toast shade applies beautifully without being too intense. Just a quick swipe and a thorough comb-through with a lash brush, and you're left with clean, gorgeous lashes! Of course, it also excels at its primary job of lifting and defining lashes cleanly. If you don't have hooded eyelids or already have a mascara that works well for you, you might not necessarily need to switch to this one. - bo*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 4, 2025
I'm completely satisfied! My eyelashes are short, so I need to use a thin brush. This one has a thin C-curved brush that works well for my under-lashes too and suits my eyes perfectly. When I first opened it, I thought the chocolate color might be too warm for me, but once applied, it looked more natural than expected. As long as you don't apply too much, there's no excess powder or clumping. It barely smudges or transfers. Not only is the color great, but true to its 'Asian mascara' name, the thin C-curved brush is really optimized for Asian eyes. Like with all mascaras, you really need to control the amount you apply! It doesn't set immediately upon application, so it seems you need to let it dry for about a minute to improve its longevity. The curl held up well for about 6 hours. - tj*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedDec 25, 2024
I bought both shades 1 and 2. Even after wetting and rubbing, there was no smudging. Shade 1 is a chocolate brown, while shade 2 is a brown with a reddish tint. I've been using shade 2 for my undereye area. The staying power is great, and it's easy to use for everyday wear. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing. The price point is reasonable, making it a good purchase. - 1y*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 20, 2024
I just wrote a review for Dolce Asian too. Its deep, rich brown color without any redness is perfect for daily use. It's truly a holy grail for my straight, sparse lashes. Please, Lipcone team, don't discontinue this! I've alternated between Dolce Asian and Mushroom Toast, using 6 tubes in total so far. As an autumn complexion, black mascara can make my eyes look heavy, but this doesn't have that effect at all. Amazingly, it doesn't smudge either. Lipcone is the best! If you apply too much, it can be a bit tough to remove. That's the only downside. Otherwise, it's great! - st*************Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 17, 2023
As someone with lashes that tend to droop easily, I'm quite picky about mascaras. I was initially worried about using brown mascara, thinking it might make my lashes look greyish and my eyes appear hazy, which isn't my preference. However, I found that the Etude Asian Cara could be a universally flattering and versatile option. It's great for creating a thin, natural look rather than a thick, dramatic one, making it suitable even for students. The packaging and overall feel are similar to the Daisy Creme mascara, but I prefer Etude's color. I debated between shades 1 and 2, ultimately choosing 1. It's a muted brown with a hint of ash, which I love. As someone with naturally brown eyes, I feel this mascara really enhances their color beautifully. That being said, this product seems to prioritize concept and color over its performance as a mascara. Unlike Etude's Curl Fix or Missha's Ultra Powerproof mascara, it doesn't firmly hold the lashes in place or evenly define them. The lack of staying power and quick drooping are disappointing. Also, when using this mascara alone, I noticed my lashes turning whitish over time. I thought it was just me, but I've seen other reviews mentioning the same issue. I'd recommend this to those looking for a brown mascara with an intriguing and natural color, rather than those prioritizing curl hold or lengthening effects! - rl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 30, 2023
I settled on this product after discovering it for the first time. The color isn't too artificial, so it naturally extends my lashes. It doesn't apply too thickly, making it look like I've had a real lash extension. The fact that it maintains its curling power is a huge advantage. It's become my absolute go-to product. As you keep using it, residue builds up on the cap, and even if you clean it often, it keeps clumping, making it difficult to open and close. At first, it applies thinly and nicely, but as the usage period extends, it keeps hardening, making my lashes look like fly legs. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 16, 2022
I started using this after trying my friend's, and it's absolutely amazing! I'm on my third one now. The color is incredibly natural and truly beautiful. I'm in love with it! There's nothing to dislike about it! If I really had to nitpick, I'd say those who don't like brown mascara might not use it, but that's about it! - wh*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 25, 2022
I absolutely love it! The powder doesn't flake off, it doesn't irritate my eyes much, and it applies so smoothly. The color is incredibly natural-looking. It's just fantastic! No real downsides, to be honest. Since I tend to use products for a long time, it's starting to get a bit powdery... but that's about it. The color is more of a deep brown than just brown, if that makes sense. Anyway, I prefer this shade over black! - sw*********Dry SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 18, 2022
I initially discovered this through a group buy organized by a famous person. Lost it immediately at a club, used something else for a while, but missed how it felt so much that I bought it again during a recent group purchase. I wore this on a date with the guy I'm seeing. That night, I got completely drunk and made a huge scene, crying and everything. The next morning, I woke up in the same bed, and while all my other makeup had disappeared, this mascara alone stood its ground, faithfully protecting my eyes. For someone like me who lives for eye makeup, this was such a relief! Despite all the drama I caused, we've set up another date. He even walked me home, treated me to a meal, and we're meeting again this weekend. You bet I'll be wearing this mascara again. Just buy it, everyone! There's nothing bad to say. I've landed a second date with the guy I'm seeing!
