It has anti-hair loss effects and lathers well.
ConsThe price is too high. The scent might be polarizing - you'll either love it or hate it. The volume is small.

While it may not have dramatic effects, it's great for consistent hair care. The scent seems to be polarizing, but I personally don't find it overwhelming. It lathers well when you thoroughly wet your scalp, and I use a scalp shampoo brush too! I've tried mixing it with other shampoos, but somehow I prefer this one. As someone with an oily scalp and thin, lifeless hair, this keeps my scalp feeling fresh for at least half a day after washing.
ConsDue to my oily scalp and thin, weak hair, I do feel my roots getting heavy by the afternoon. And there's no dramatic reduction in hair loss or increase in hair growth - it's just slightly better or similar to other shampoos. If there's one thing I wish for, it would be more dramatic results!
TipFor reference, I'm currently using the shampoo, conditioner, and spray from this line. When I use the spray and blow-dry with cool air, it really brings out the volume. I wish that was my natural hair!

ConsNothing particularly disappointing, but nothing especially good either The ingredients aren't that impressive

ConsIt's on the pricier side, and it might leave your hair feeling a bit damaged

The lather is quite good too. I've noticed fewer blemishes on my scalp since using it.
ConsHowever, if your hair is particularly oily, it doesn't lather as well. The price is a bit wicked (but that's Aveda for you, can't be helped).
Tip1. Do a pre-wash before using this shampoo. 2. Try to buy it on sale. (The bottle size is quite small)

The renewed version also lathers up really well.
ConsI use it contentedly, but it's a bit pricey. The newly renewed Light version in 1L size costs 142,000 won at department stores.
TipNext time, I'll buy it cheaper at the outlet near my home.

Fragrance At first, I was a bit unsure about the herbal-like scent, but it turned out to be pleasantly subtle. It made washing my hair quite enjoyable! However, it's definitely a fragrance that people will either love or hate. 2. Texture & Lather The consistency is neither too thin nor too thick, and it lathers up nicely even with a small amount, which I really appreciated.
Cons1. Effectiveness I have seborrheic dermatitis with dead skin cells, itching, and inflammation, so I don't use conditioner. Unfortunately, this shampoo didn't particularly improve my symptoms. The hydration was somewhat lacking, and without conditioner, the static and dryness made it feel like I was losing more hair. 2. Value for Money Given the price for the volume, it's not easy to use this daily. It feels like I'm spending a few dollars every time I wash my hair.
TipConditioner is a must, and if you have super sensitive skin on your scalp, you might want to consider using a different product. A rinse or conditioner is absolutely necessary!

Texture The texture is silky and honey-like, not much different from regular shampoos. It has some viscosity but dissolves well in water. The foam isn't excessive, which actually made me feel more confident about its gentleness. 2. Scent While ingredients like ginseng and turmeric are listed, the fragrance is more reminiscent of what you'd typically find in propolis products. The scent isn't too strong and has a luxurious quality that I appreciated (though this may be a matter of personal preference). 3. Performance As mentioned earlier, it feels gentle and has excellent cleansing effectiveness. I'm quite satisfied as it seems to have reduced my dandruff to some extent!
Cons1. Price point While it's a generally decent product that seemed to help with scalp care, the price is a bit high for the volume. I'd recommend this only for those who are really serious about scalp care. 2. Ingredients Given that there are many products on the market with good overall ingredients, I'd advise those with particularly sensitive scalps to look for something more suitable. (I used it for about two weeks, and since it's a care product, not medication, I don't think that's long enough to definitively say whether the improvement in my scalp health was noticeably due to the product or just natural recovery.)

I was thrilled to test it as part of The Hwahae Testers. 1. Texture The consistency was thicker than I expected, which made it great for massaging the scalp. After a bit of gentle rubbing, it lathered up nicely. 2. Scent The fragrance might be a bit divisive. It has a herbal aroma rather than a fresh, floral scent. However, it gave me the impression that it was really working to improve my scalp health and hair condition. 3. Scalp Condition With the dry winter weather, dead skin cells tend to build up more (I have super sensitive skin and haven't found my perfect shampoo yet). After using it twice, I didn't experience any discomfort. There was no itching, and it felt gentle on my scalp. While one of the product's selling points is its ability to remove dead skin cells, I'll need to use it more to see if it's truly effective. I'll update after more use. Pro tip: For better exfoliation, try massaging the shampoo into your scalp and leaving it on for 2 minutes before rinsing. 4. Oil Control As someone who loves that squeaky clean feeling, I noticed that my scalp seemed to get oily a bit quicker compared to my previous scalp shampoo.
ConsGiven that it's an Aveda product, the price per volume is a bit steep, but I suppose you get what you pay for...
