The coverage is truly amazing! I carry this cushion for touch-ups, and it's become my holy grail due to its excellent coverage and adherence. I'm already on my second one! For those with combination skin like mine, it might feel a bit dry during winter. For those who use cushions as their primary base, I recommend applying skincare diligently in between uses! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 3, 2021
As someone with extremely dry skin, I've always been worried when buying cushion foundations. I've tried many products advertised as moisturizing and popular brands, but even if they felt hydrating at first, my skin would end up feeling tight and cracked over time. I had to switch products frequently. However, Dr. Althea's cushion maintains its hydration for a long time and applies thinly, which I love. It's become my go-to cushion foundation. Despite being moisturizing, which usually means less coverage, this cushion actually provides excellent coverage! I also dislike cushions with strong beige tones, so I was thrilled to find Dr. Althea's cushion. It gives me a brighter complexion compared to other cushions I've used, which I really appreciate! The only downside is that because it feels so hydrating, the adherence to the skin is slightly less than ideal, which is a bit disappointing. - jy****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMay 13, 2021
It applies smoothly in thin layers, leaving the skin hydrated and glossy. This product falls short in almost every aspect, including its effectiveness and coverage. While it spreads thinly, its staying power and coverage are practically non-existent. It leaves a shiny finish that transfers onto masks easily. After just a few hours, it's as if you're not wearing any makeup at all. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2021
Moisturizing and firm, it doesn't separate at all and has great adherence, making the skin look fantastic While it's hydrating, the longevity might be a bit disappointing. However, when it does fade, it does so beautifully. A quick pat to touch up and it's good as new - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2021
I've been using shade 21 since my 20s, and Dr. Elcia's 21 is the most radiant and suits me best. The coverage isn't too heavy, and there's no stickiness. I have dry skin on my body and combination skin on my face, making me super sensitive, but this product seems to work well for both dry and combination skin types. It does transfer a bit, but honestly, there's no cushion foundation that doesn't. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2021
I've been using cushion compacts since they first came out in college, trying all the trendy ones over the years, but nothing compares to this! The formula is perfect for achieving that translucent skin look, while still providing great coverage. Plus, it doesn't transfer much onto masks, which is a huge plus! There's not really anything to complain about... If I had to nitpick, I wish they'd change the case design a bit! It's too flat and square, making it look like a little badge. For touch-ups after your initial application, gently pat and blend it out multiple times. It'll make your skin look freshly made up and flawless! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 14, 2020
It provides a natural coverage. While it's not a full coverage, it offers just the right amount of concealment. It brightens your complexion by about half a shade without looking too light. As time passes, it blends seamlessly, making your skin look naturally flawless. There are no downsides. After trying various cushions, I find myself coming back to this one as nothing else compares. - pc*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 14, 2020
It applies naturally and moisturizes well, leaving a subtle glow on the skin even as time passes. I have seborrheic dermatitis in some areas of my face, which can cause my skin condition to fluctuate, especially after wearing makeup. But wow... this is great! I prefer pink-based cushions that enhance skin texture and glow rather than high-coverage ones, and this is perfect! Since switching to this, people around me have been commenting on how much my complexion has improved. I hadn't really noticed until then... I guess it's the cushion effect! I have about a shade 22 skin tone, and shade 21 is just right for me! It wears off naturally throughout the day too. The case's fingerprint magnet and... the difficulty in purchasing it offline are downsides. I didn't know about it at all and bought it with some skepticism after a friend's recommendation. Please spread the word about this product! - ri****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 6, 2020
It's fantastic for dry days, as it doesn't flake or feel tight on the skin. While most products tend to lift, this one doesn't make my skin feel parched at all. The coverage is also quite good. Like other moisturizing cushions, it tends to pill a bit, so I end up applying multiple thin layers. In dry seasons, except summer, I often use rich creams before cushion foundation due to dryness. However, with this product, I hardly feel any dryness, so using a hydrating moisturizer in my skincare routine helps it adhere better to the skin and reduces pilling. - dm******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 17, 2019
As someone with dry skin, I was impressed that I didn't need an extensive skincare routine for this to work well. It didn't look patchy when applied, and even after touch-ups, it absorbed beautifully, keeping my skin moisturized. The coverage was also great, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, my skin had a terrible reaction the day after using this. As someone with extremely dry skin, it's rare to find a cushion that allows for touch-ups, so I was initially thrilled. Despite noticing some itchiness after application and my skin reacting badly the next day, I persisted in using it. However, by the third or fourth day, the irritation became unbearable, and I had to stop using it. It's such a shame!
