  I switched to this toner after using a famous one from another brand that didn't seem to help much with my whiteheads, even though it cleared my acne. This one's great - it prevents whiteheads and feels soothing when applied to areas where my skin feels hot. The large bottle lasts a long time, and I love that it doesn't leave a sticky residue. My skin hasn't gotten worse since using it, so I don't plan on switching anytime soon. It's good enough that I'm already on my third bottle!

  Cons

  Those with super sensitive skin might experience a slight tingling sensation at first, due to the houttuynia cordata extract.

  Tip

  You can also use it as a mask for blemishes on your back or chest by soaking a cotton pad generously! It seems to work well for calming redness too.

  Light texture If I had to name one positive point, it's that the formula is lightweight and non-sticky. However, for those with sensitive skin like mine, especially if you don't react well to houttuynia cordata, I absolutely cannot recommend this.

  To be honest, I had high hopes for this product, but it was terrible for my skin. Many people praised its soothing effects, which is why I bought it, but instead, I had the worst experience with my skin erupting in inflammatory blemishes. 1. Breakouts after use While houttuynia cordata is supposed to be calming, it had the opposite effect on me. I felt a slight tingling sensation immediately after application, and within a few days, my entire face was covered in small pimples and red, inflamed blemishes. I have sensitive skin, so I used it cautiously, but I never expected such a severe reaction. 2. Insufficient hydration I expected this soothing toner to be moisturizing, but it only provided a momentary sense of hydration before quickly evaporating. It actually seemed to worsen my deep dryness, leaving my skin feeling rough. If you're looking for hydration, you'll likely be disappointed. 3. Irritating rather than soothing Despite being called a 'soothing toner', it didn't calm redness or irritation at all. In fact, the more I used it, the redder and more sensitive my face became. I definitely learned that for people who don't react well to houttuynia cordata, it can actually be harmful. 1 out of 5 stars I absolutely cannot recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin or those who don't react well to houttuynia cordata. Instead of soothing your skin, you might end up with a breakout disaster.

  Pros

  I've frequently used watery toners, and they've all been pretty similar in terms of quality. If you use it as a 5-minute mask, it feels refreshing and doesn't dry out your skin.

  Cons

  Having only used hyaluronic acid toners before, trying a toner with houttuynia cordata for the first time was really tough on my skin. I experienced intense tingling and itching, with continuous allergic reactions and even redness and swelling. I wouldn't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. While it's normal for my skin to react for a few days when changing my skincare routine, this product required an unusually long adjustment period. It took about 2-3 weeks to adapt... I kept using it because I didn't want to waste money, but I wouldn't buy it again.

  Tip

  Watery toners are much better for replenishing deep dryness than exfoliating toners. It's also great to apply them 5 minutes before putting on makeup.

  I'm a true Anua devotee. As someone who's tried their entire Heartleaf line, I can say the toner is absolutely phenomenal. It's incredibly effective for soothing blemish-prone skin and works wonders on those pesky little bumps! I never regret buying it whenever I'm at Olive Young - if Heartleaf agrees with your skin, please give it a try! I genuinely can't praise it enough. It's a lightweight, almost water-like nourishing toner that even works great for my oily skin. I'm already on my 10th bottle... that's how much I love it!

  Cons

  Not recommended for those whose skin doesn't agree with Heartleaf or for super sensitive skin, as it might cause a slight tingling sensation or trigger blemishes!

  Tip

  Using it with toner pads or mixing it into a modeling mask is fantastic for calming blemishes!

  It's moisturizing and even if you apply a generous amount, it doesn't feel excessively rich. I'd recommend it if you want to layer your skincare products casually.

  Sometimes when my skin becomes super sensitive, it felt a bit tingling... It also stung a bit when it got into my eyes... When I only applied this, my skin became a bit oily after some time...

  Tip

  Since the toner tends to drip when dispensed onto my hand, I put it in an empty mist bottle and sprayed it on my face instead.
