ConsThe colors tend to have grayish undertones, which can look a bit dull when applied with fingers. It's best to use a brush for better control of the amount. However, when using a brush, there's significant excess powder kickup.

It's perfect for smoky eye makeup and gives you a sultry, atmospheric vibe. You can use it for everything - shading, eyeliner, eyebrows, and eyeshadow. It's truly an all-in-one solution. This is definitely a holy grail palette!
ConsOverall, the colors have a grayish tint and are quite dark, which might make them challenging to match. If you're not careful, you might end up looking like you've been in a fight or haven't slept all night. Even when you try to apply less, the darkness can still make your makeup look intense by the end.
TipYou need to use as little product as possible. A base is not optional, it's absolutely necessary - you must apply it first. When using shimmer, opt for subtle sparkles rather than chunky glitter - it'll make you look absolutely stunning. You'll be an Instagram goddess in no time!

Perfect for creating a natural contoured makeup look!
ConsThe gray tones come out stronger than expected. If you're not careful with application, you might end up looking like you've been plastered with cement...

Cons- The matte finish can feel a bit heavy and dry, especially with layering. The ash-toned shadows in particular can leave a chalky, whitish cast on the eyelids.

Yes, I really like it. Considering the price, it seems like a good deal.
ConsThe downside is that this is a cool-toned color. Since I have a warm complexion, it doesn't quite sit right on my skin. However, I personally love this shade, so I'm keeping it in my collection. Another slight disappointment is its staying power. I wish it had better longevity. That's my main regret. While the photo might show a brownish tint, it's actually more of a grayish hue. It's in the gray family, definitely a cool-toned color.

First off, the much-discussed shades 6-7-8 are completely different from macaron grey or ginger milk tea tones. Unlike the cool-toned contour shades in other popular shadows that blend with skin tone, these are simply grey hues that look like they've been mixed from black and white paint. Shade 2 is perhaps the best for nose contouring on skin with yellow undertones. As someone whose eyes get painfully dry when using Romand shadows alone, I never intended to use this as a standalone eyeshadow. I was looking for a brow powder that would perfectly match my jet-black hair, and I'm really happy using this as my daily brow powder. Shade 6 is perfect for my eyebrows. While many reviews mention weak pigmentation that doesn't build up, I actually find the color payoff too intense for my skin, making light makeup impossible with this palette. Even the lightest shades 1/6 show up as medium-depth shadows, while the rest are so deep they're best used as accent colors. This could be a plus for those who enjoy smokey looks. I also love that shade 10 is a deep charcoal, dark enough to replace eyeliner. It's a pure coal color without any red or yellow undertones, making it versatile for any eye makeup look. The only downside is that it can look patchy if used as an eyeliner 'replacement' rather than for smudging.
ConsMany reviews mention that the colors don't build up, and here's what that means: 1. No matter how you combine the colors, they all end up grey. There's little point in separating the colors because while they may look different in tone and depth in the pan, once applied they just become light grey/medium grey/dark grey. Typically, eyeshadows are designed to 'layer' - a light base, then a medium crease shade, then a dark accent color. But with Romand, the colors 'blend together' so that color1+color2+color3 always equals grey. This happens even if you only use the top row. That's why, despite having 10 shades, you can't create diverse looks. No matter how you combine them, you only get a hollow-looking grey shadow effect. If you search for 'Dusty Fog Garden' on YouTube, you'll see different skin tones using different combinations, but the final looks are all similar for this reason. 2. Only the texture builds up, not the color. Building on the previous point, it's not the 'color' that builds up, but rather Romand's signature matte, powdery texture. The more you layer, the more it emphasizes fine lines. The brand suggests using this palette to neutralize high-chroma warm tones, but Romand's particles are thick and dry, which can reduce adherence when mixed with other textures. It can also accentuate uneven skin texture around the eyes. For these reasons, it's not ideal for contouring either. Of course, those without texture concerns or who generally like Romand's matte formula might use this without issues. But if you need a grey to neutralize warm shadows, just get Macaron Grey instead.
TipI recommend using only one or two colors from this palette or using it as a brow powder, as finishing your eyeshadow look with 'only' this palette can result in a very dull and hollow appearance.

I'm tired of eye makeup with pink or dried rose-like reds, so I prefer doing my makeup with almost no redness. This palette is perfect - not too yellow or too red. It has more gray tones than I expected, which leads me to use the shadows in the upper part more often. I use the lower shades to tone down colors or mix with other brands' products.
ConsHowever, due to the overall grayish tones, if you don't control the amount well, it can make dark circles more noticeable and give a bruised look. The lower shadows especially might be good for Halloween makeup. Also, there's some excess powder, so apply small amounts multiple times.
TipUsing this palette alone can make your eyes look grayish against your face, so I'm using it mixed with other palettes. The photos below show mixed usage too. I have monolids, so I tend to do heavier makeup. I use the darkest shadow to soften the eyeliner border a bit. Photo 1: Regular. Photo 2: Regular, using only this palette, light application. Photo 3: With filter, mixed with other brands, heavy application.
