  Pros

  As someone who can't leave their hair alone and has been maintaining bleached hair for 6 years, I've tried many color-depositing shampoos. However, I haven't seen anything as effective as the Fanola color-depositing shampoo. It's fantastic for maintaining ash or violet hair color after dyeing, and it's incredibly effective at neutralizing yellow tones after bleaching! The downsides are that it can stain your nails, so you must wear gloves, and if left on unevenly bleached hair for too long, it can turn well-bleached sections a white-ash color, making the patchiness more noticeable. Also, frequent use of color-depositing shampoo can make your hair very dry, so I recommend using it only once a week or once every two weeks.

  Cons

  Even if you use the most fragrant treatment and essence after shampooing, the distinctive scent of the color-depositing shampoo still lingers...

  Pros

  I was able to receive it quickly thanks to rocket delivery. To give you some context, my hair is extremely damaged from bleaching after dyeing it black. As time passed, it started turning yellow like a sheep's wool, so I tried toning it down a few times, but it would become yellow again after a few months. I bought this on the recommendation of a hairstylist friend, and even though it's just a shampoo, I'm quite satisfied with the results. After seeing a photo taken by someone else, I realized how yellow my hair was and decided to try this color-correcting shampoo. The effect was noticeable after just one use, so now I'm using it about twice a week. It's no joke, this stuff really works!

  Cons

  Be prepared for a scolding from your mom if it stains your hands, and you have white bathroom decor or white towels.

  Tip

  For best results, use it after your regular shampoo. Squeeze out excess water, then apply it generously, almost like you're applying hair dye, before rinsing. Just keep in mind that it won't make your hair softer, so using a conditioner is a must.

  Pros

  This seems to be the best purple shampoo out there! I occasionally dye my hair and maintain a platinum blonde look through bleaching. The color payoff is incredible. After leaving it on for about 5 minutes, it gave my hair a watery light purple tint. After washing it out twice, I achieved the hair color shown in the photo below! If you're not a fan of that faint purple hue, you could try leaving it on for a shorter time. The lather is surprisingly good. After shampooing once and then using this purple shampoo, you get an incredibly rich lather. I love that the abundant foam prevents any patchy application. As for longevity, while many use purple shampoo every other day, I use it once a week. Even with weekly use, it maintains a nice ashy tone. If you've dyed your hair ash blonde, this should really help you maintain that color.

  Cons

  Even after thoroughly rinsing and drying my hair after using this purple shampoo, purple residue still comes off my scalp when I scratch it... No matter how much I rinse, it seems unavoidable. While the scent isn't overpowering, I found it oddly unpleasant. The fragrance lingers in my hair for a day or two.

  Tip

  You absolutely must wear gloves when using this! If you don't, your hands will turn completely purple...! To avoid the purple residue issue, I shampoo once, then apply the purple shampoo and leave it on for 5 minutes, followed by another regular shampoo. This method still gives great color results.

  Pros

  I've bleached my hair twice, with the lower part being a bit darker due to previous coloring. Although it was said that less bleached hair wouldn't take the color well, it actually does a great job at neutralizing yellow tones. After using it twice on the lighter bleached areas near the scalp, my hair turned almost white. For the first application, I lathered it up and left it on for about 10 minutes. The second time, I applied it like hair dye and left it for 10 minutes, which really helped combat the brassiness. I love that the color doesn't turn out too purple, but rather a nice, subtle gray tone. When you first apply it, it looks very gray and you might worry it's too dark, but after rinsing, it leaves a soft, yellow-neutralizing effect while maintaining the hair's brightness. The photo shows the result after one use - picture 1 is before, picture 2 is after. The lower part, where I only used the foam, seems slightly less effective, but it looks fine to the naked eye.

  There's not really anything disappointing to mention as it met my expectations perfectly.

  Tip

  I'd recommend leaving it on for a sufficient amount of time. Also, to ensure even coverage, either work up a good lather or apply it like hair dye. This seems to result in excellent color payoff.
