It's a must-have for dry skin types like me. While it doesn't dramatically change your complexion, it subtly evens skin tone and adds a beautiful glow. The sun protection is a bonus, eliminating the need for a separate sunscreen. It's perfect as a base before foundation or cushion! I'm thrilled to have a brightening moisturizer I can use in winter. The texture is lighter than a cream, more like a serum - hydrating and silky smooth. With its pink undertone, I'd recommend it for cool-toned folks and anyone looking to counteract yellowness in their skin.
ConsThere weren't any disappointing aspects to mention. The product exceeded my expectations in every way.
TipThis pairs perfectly with the Amuse Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion. I can't imagine getting through winter without this combination!

This product is a perfect match for that need. The Watermelow Tone-Up Serum acts as both a primer and base without transferring onto your mask. Usually, tone-up products tend to dry out the skin over time, which was disappointing. However, this serum keeps your skin hydrated on the inside while leaving it fresh on the outside. It applies smoothly like an emulsion. You can layer other base products on top without any pilling. Just add a touch of concealer where you need extra coverage, and you've got a perfect light base makeup look!
ConsThe short-lasting effect might be a downside. But I guess that's unavoidable with a hydrating tone-up serum.

It glides on smoothly, providing a natural brightening effect and a refreshing burst of hydration. This serum keeps your skin moisturized without any dryness, giving you a clear, translucent complexion with a radiant, glass-like glow. It enhances your skin's vitality, leaving it smooth and firm. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly without any stickiness, offering a fresh finish that doesn't feel heavy or transfer easily. It's perfect for a effortlessly chic look. You can use it alone, pair it beautifully with cushion foundations, or as a regular base. It applies evenly without pilling or clumping, improving adherence and ensuring long-lasting wear.
ConsAs someone with sensitive skin, it's disappointing to see that it contains four potentially irritating ingredients.

I've used about 5 tubes of the Holika Tone Up Cream Fresh, which I absolutely adore. But lately, it's been feeling a bit dry, so when I heard about the new Tone Up Serum, I decided to give it a try! Here's a comparison: The Tone Up Cream Fresh is white, giving a beautifully bright complexion. It feels slightly sticky when applying and can pill a bit if you layer it, but it leaves your skin looking matte. It has great staying power and doesn't transfer, which is why I've gone through about 5 tubes. As for the Tone Up Cream Glow, I felt it only gave surface-level shine. It also transferred easily, and I honestly don't even know where mine is after using it once or twice. If you're considering this one, I'd say the Tone Up Serum is a better choice. The Tone Up Serum has a thin, creamy texture and a pink tint, which gives a more natural brightening effect. It applies smoothly with a hydrating feel and no stickiness. It doesn't clump or pill when layered, which is great! However, it did feel a bit dry after fully absorbing. The finish has more of a glow compared to the cream version. While its staying power isn't exceptional, it does last quite well. Oh, and it has sun protection, which is a bonus!
ConsI'll need to use it consistently to know for sure, but the hydration isn't as impressive as I'd hoped. Also, among Holika's tone-up products, the ingredients don't seem particularly outstanding, which is a bit disappointing.
TipIf you want a really natural, lively brightening effect from Holika's products, go for the Tone Up Serum. If you prefer a whiter, more matte finish, choose the Tone Up Cream Fresh. Update after 3 days: I've switched back to the Tone Up Cream. Unfortunately, the serum caused some blemishes for me.
