This product is absolutely flawless! It's a true all-in-one miracle worker that tackles hydration, brightening, blemishes, and anti-aging all at once. There's honestly nothing to complain about. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's simply the best of the best! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2023
Even though I have atopic skin, I often avoid creams that are too sticky as they feel uncomfortable. However, this cream seems to melt into the skin as I apply it, absorbing well. Hydration is essential, and during winter, when I layer this cream over a serum, I don't experience any deep dryness at all! It feels slightly rich for use during summer months. However, I would recommend it for those whose skin tends to get very dry even in summer! Using this cream in combination with their ampoule softener creates the ultimate winter skincare duo for glowing skin. I usually struggle with a lot of dead skin cells, but after using this during winter, I hardly experienced any flaking. It's truly excellent! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 8, 2022
First, let me describe my skin type. I have extremely dry, sensitive skin with atopic dermatitis. Because of this, I'm very particular about ingredients when purchasing products. Once my skin's immunity is compromised, it takes a long time to recover. My skin easily becomes red and itchy, leading to a vicious cycle of irritation. It was in this context that I first tried the Dr. J Cos The First Velvet Glow Melting Cream. Ingredients: While the Hwahae app mentions that lemon extract can irritate the skin, I found this cream to be formulated with gentle ingredients that even someone with sensitive skin like me can use. It seems to be made primarily with natural ingredients, which gave me the confidence to apply it generously. Texture: The product has a consistency between a balm and a cream - denser than a typical cream, but not quite as solid as a balm. As someone who doesn't enjoy sticky or heavy feelings on my skin, I was initially worried it might not absorb well or cause pilling. However, contrary to my expectations, it absorbed into my skin effortlessly. It left a pleasantly fresh finish that adapts to skin temperature, allowing for easy layering of makeup without feeling burdensome. Hydration: As we transition from the long winter to spring, I've always been more concerned about my skin barrier breaking down than excited about the new season. With this product, I think those worries are a thing of the past. Throughout the past winter, this melting cream helped manage my dead skin cells and protected my skin against the cold wind. I felt like my skin was at its best. As a bonus, the more I applied, the more radiant my skin became. Lasting Power: My extremely dry, atopic skin used to struggle maintaining hydration all day with my previous creams, especially with indoor heating and dry outdoor air. However, applying this melting cream in my morning skincare routine left my skin deeply hydrated, which was very satisfying. It also reduced itching around my eyes and where my mask touches, areas that were easily irritated before. I can confidently say this cream provides longer-lasting hydration than any product I've used before. Quantity: The product comes in a generous size that seems to offer great value for money. I believe one jar could easily last through two seasons. Drawbacks: I was concerned about hygiene when applying the product, as it comes in a jar format. The small inner lid couldn't be discarded as dust could easily get into the product. Apart from the inconvenience of the packaging, everything else was satisfactory. I really liked that you can use it as a sleeping pack by applying a slightly thicker layer before bed. It seems to be a versatile product that can be used effectively anytime, anywhere.
