The fragrance is absolutely delightful. It's cozy and sweet, lifting my mood every time I apply it. This essence is gentle, absorbs well, and versatile enough to serve its purpose effectively. It strikes a perfect balance - not too heavy to cause blemishes, but substantial enough to provide just the right amount of hydration.

Like everyone else probably does, I pat it into my skin with a 'tap-tap-tap' motion for better absorption.

The price is a bit steep for the amount you get. I'll have to keep an eye out for sales - it's great, but just too expensive. There's also a slightly unusual scent. It's not overpowering, but if you're sensitive to fragrances, you might want to avoid it.

It's incredibly gentle...!! Whether your skin is acting up or you have wounds, it doesn't sting at all. Plus, it does a great job of locking in hydration. It's fantastic as a base product. It's surprisingly hard to find skincare that actually does its job well, but this one's a winner. I wish I'd stocked up during the sale! Not only is the bottle sturdy and pretty, but the pump is also really impressive. Sometimes pumps can be frustrating, either not dispensing enough or suddenly gushing out too much, making you use them extra carefully. But this one has just the right balance of strength and smoothness. Once I finish this, I plan to refill the bottle with a larger toner. The amount control is so convenient. I can say with certainty that this has never caused my skin to react badly.

There's nothing to complain about except the price. Everything else is perfect!

I usually apply this as the first step in my skincare routine. The signature Huxley floral scent is a delightful way to start! Even setting aside the fragrance, I love how it provides lightweight, non-excessive hydration that doesn't feel overwhelming.

For best results, cleanse before bed, apply 2-3 layers on dry areas, then in the morning after washing your face, apply 1-2 layers. This creates a perfect base for makeup to adhere to beautifully!

It's disappointing that if I only apply it once, the dry areas on my cheeks become even drier.

After cleansing, applying just this product alone made my makeup go on smoothly and looked quite nice!

As for Huxley, I'm a bit disappointed with the ingredients. While the fragrance is really nice, I'm concerned about the added perfume.

For dry skin, it's working out fine. Maybe because it's winter, I feel like I'm using it up a bit faster than usual.

Though it's called an essence, it's so non-sticky and absorbs so well that you could use it in place of your toner! It leaves your skin feeling hydrated and seems to create a great base for makeup too!

Update: This product has made one thing clear - fermented extracts don't agree with my skin. After using this, my skin reacted so badly that I had to visit a dermatologist.

I've been loving Huxley's hand cream and oil mist, so I decided to try their essence too. It has a water-like texture but feels incredibly hydrating. The scent is that signature Huxley fragrance we all know.
