When my skin feels dry, applying this leaves it feeling hydrated and nourished, which I really appreciate. I'm also satisfied that it contains active ingredients for brightening and anti-aging. It works well in spring, fall, and winter, but I find it a bit too rich when applied all over the face in summer, which is somewhat disappointing. When your skin needs hydration and nourishment, it's great to focus on applying it around the eyes and forehead. It leaves those areas feeling moisturized and lovely. - ly********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 12, 2025
I've been using this since early 2024. My skin tends to be a bit sensitive and prone to flare-ups, but when I apply this ampoule, it really helps control my blemishes. It seems particularly effective for small, scattered blemishes rather than larger ones. I usually take my time with skincare, allowing products to absorb, and I've noticed that if I wait about 5 minutes after applying this ampoule, those minor blemishes significantly calm down. It seems to work well for me. I'd recommend this to anyone who occasionally experiences minor breakouts. After application, it does leave a bit of stickiness! The texture is more slippery than elastic, which makes me think it might cause pilling if you try to layer other products on top. It might be a bit heavy for morning use. When I absolutely need to use it in the morning, I apply the ampoule, pat it in with my hands, then either smooth it out with a puff or blot with oil-absorbing sheets to manage the finish! - lj*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMar 5, 2025
Absorbs well - It's a lightweight serum that applies smoothly Blemishes - No breakouts or irritation after use Scent - Nearly fragrance-free I didn't experience any blemishes and it was suitable for my skin, so there weren't really any downsides. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the small size of the product - sn*************Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 2, 2025
I could use this well even on my super sensitive skin. It really helped calm my complexion too! I was surprised by how small the bottle was... It's a bit disappointing. Since it's a watery ampoule, I balance my skin's oil and moisture by applying this first, then following up with either a cream or a cream skin toner. - by**********Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 18, 2025
The price was really great, and it takes about 3-5 minutes to absorb. I didn't notice any specific improvements, it just felt like a regular hydrating serum. It was thinner than I expected, more like a serum consistency. The color was a bit off-putting, which made me hesitant to apply it, but the scent was actually quite nice. It's a budget-friendly serum that works well as a DIY mask when your skin is acting up. Just put 5-10 pumps on a cotton pad, let it absorb, and use it as a serum mask. It's perfect for that! - yo*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 2, 2025
Houttuynia cordata seems to work best for my skin. It's incredibly effective for soothing - such a relief! The moisturizing formula makes it perfect for daily use without feeling heavy. The amount is quite small, so I feel like I'll use it up quickly. It would be great if they offered a buy-one-get-one-free deal or a larger size option. - du*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 15, 2024
Purchased with my own money! As someone with sensitive skin prone to breakouts during seasonal changes and menstruation (I've battled acne since high school), I've found that my skin responds well to ingredients like Houttuynia Cordata, Azulene, Mugwort, and Mung Bean. However, it doesn't agree with Cica, Tea Tree, or Madecassoside. Recently, I've been dealing with a sudden outbreak of cystic acne, which led me to consider changing up my skincare routine. That's when I stumbled upon this product! It was on sale, and after checking the ingredients on Hwahae, they seemed promising. What really caught my attention was the cult following - people who've gone through multiple bottles and would protest if it was ever discontinued! To cut to the chase, this product worked wonders for me too! The large cystic blemishes noticeably calmed down by the next day, and I could feel an improvement in my skin texture. While it didn't seem to affect my smaller blemishes much, it was truly impressive in soothing those deep, inflamed spots. Is it just me, or does the volume seem smaller than the standard 30ml? It feels more like 20ml. My heart aches seeing how quickly it diminishes, especially when I layer it twice. - kk********Combination SkinAcne SkinOct 13, 2024
As someone with sensitive, blemish-prone skin, I experienced no adverse reactions. The Houttuynia Cordata seems to have a calming effect. For an extra soothing sensation, I recommend storing it in the refrigerator and applying it cool. The slightly slippery feeling after application bothers me a bit. I haven't noticed any dramatic effects, and I think other serums work better for me. The serum itself is fine though. - jy******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2024
It's a decent serum overall. The texture is water-like and lightweight. I appreciate that it's fragrance-free. I'm not sure if it really has a calming effect. It lacks any standout features. - am***********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 2, 2024
It seemed to really calm down my acne. I think this would be great for blemish-prone skin. Unfortunately, it left my skin feeling more sticky compared to other products I've used.
