It seems great for soothing irritated, tingling skin. After using a peeling pad which caused slight irritation, applying this provided some relief.
ConsUnfortunately, that hydrated feeling vanishes all too quickly. I thought my skin felt smooth, but it was just the oiliness. It has absolutely no effect on the deep dryness that it claims to target.

ConsIt made my face too greasy instead of giving a fresh, matte finish. It felt like oil was floating on my skin without properly hydrating the deeper layers. I bought it for the large quantity, but it doesn't seem to suit my skin type, so I probably won't be able to use it.

Let me start by describing my skin type and current condition. I have super sensitive skin prone to contact dermatitis, and due to mask-wearing, I've got some blemishes around my mouth and cheeks. I'm currently taking prescribed medication for this. First off, I was satisfied with the packaging, volume, and ingredients. The scent was slightly medicinal, but I didn't mind it - it gave me a sense of the product being beneficial for my skin. The texture is somewhat essence-like, different from regular toners. When applied, it does absorb into the skin, but not completely. Since I have blemishes and oily skin, it did leave a slightly rich feeling on my skin.
ConsFor a toner, it's on the richer side, so it might be better suited for those with dry skin rather than oily skin types. I was hoping for some soothing effects, and while it didn't cause more blemishes, it didn't particularly calm existing ones either. Overall, I think it's a product that can be used without much issue for most people.

Please refer to pictures shared by others. 1. Application (4/5): - The toner has a thin consistency with a slightly sticky feel. My first impression was that it felt quite 'rich'. As someone with dry skin, I found it quite oily. However, this translated to excellent hydration, and the scent was pleasant. 2. Absorption (5/5): - The quick absorption compensates for the initial richness of this toner. After patting it in a few times, it absorbs rapidly, which was better than expected. While it feels oily at first, once applied, there's no residual oiliness - it all sinks in, leaving no greasy feeling on the skin. 3. Moisturizing power (4/5): - While it might be a stretch to expect significant moisturizing from a toner, this one performed quite well. Those with oily skin might find this toner sufficient on its own.
ConsI asked a friend with oily skin to try it, and they found it too rich for their skin type. While they appreciated how quickly it absorbed, they felt it might be too heavy for those with oily skin.
TipFor dry skin types, this product offers a good balance of richness, hydration, and quick absorption. Although it feels oily upon initial application, there's no residual greasiness after it's absorbed, making it a solid choice. Plus, the large size makes it great value for money!

Because of this, I'm not a fan of products that leave a sticky residue or make my skin look shiny. So when I first received this toner, I was a bit worried since it looked more like an essence than a regular toner. But surprisingly, when I actually used it, there wasn't any excessive shine, and it felt quite nice. There was a slight stickiness at first, but it gradually disappeared as it absorbed into my skin. Interestingly, the more I used it, the less sticky it felt. It also seemed to do a good job of removing any remaining impurities after cleansing.
ConsWhile there weren't many downsides, being an essence-type toner, it doesn't absorb well into cotton pads. It does wipe away some oiliness from the face, but doesn't seem to actually reduce oil production. I also tried applying it directly with my hands - it absorbed well, but left a slightly shiny finish. When I first received this product, I didn't know the price and thought the volume was quite good. However, before writing this review, I checked the price and found it a bit on the expensive side.
TipWhen testing this product, I used it exclusively. During use, I felt that it might be good to use a separate cleansing toner first, then apply the Rhodiola Relief First Toner by patting it into the skin or soaking a sheet mask with it for a mask-like treatment. For those like me who avoid emulsions due to oiliness, you could use a cleansing toner to refine skin texture and remove impurities, then apply the Rhodiola Relief First Toner as a lightweight alternative to an emulsion for a final touch.

My skin is dry, and I previously used The Lab by Blanc Doux toner, but the Rhodiola toner feels a bit richer. So I applied it before bed to replenish moisture! Pros: - Feels like an essence-type toner - Great for nighttime application - Skin feels slightly more hydrated and less tight even with just the toner - Leaves skin feeling moisturized yet somewhat matte
ConsIt does take a bit longer to absorb due to its richer texture. As someone with cheilitis, I was concerned about the two potentially harmful ingredients. Although I always avoid applying skincare to my lips, some products have caused stinging in the past. While this one didn't cause any irritation or itching on my lips, I was still a bit worried. Cons: - Takes slightly longer to absorb (compared to watery toners) - Contains two potentially harmful ingredients, which concerns me as a cheilitis sufferer
TipWith my dry skin, I applied it 2-3 times with my hands before bed, without using a cotton pad. Following up with an emulsion (Physiogel), I woke up the next day without any dryness!

The hydration was good, and since it's not a watery toner, it didn't evaporate quickly. I think it would be suitable for those with dry skin who aren't particularly sensitive. And I really loved the volume of the product!
ConsAs someone who prefers a matte finish, I found this toner a bit sticky for my liking. I tried both wiping it on and layering it three times, but it made my T-zone extremely oily. My cheeks, which tend to be sensitive, developed a slightly bumpy texture...
TipIf you don't have sensitive skin, you might enjoy this product. When I applied three layers, it felt quite moisturizing... Any more than that would be excessive. I'd recommend this for those with dry skin.

The consistency is richer than a regular toner, but it absorbs well and feels great on the skin! It has an emulsion-like feel, providing better hydration than a standard water-based toner. When I woke up in the morning, my skin felt moisturized without any dryness. My nighttime routine of layering this toner (2 layers) - serum - toner - cream left my skin feeling soft and supple the next day. As someone with super sensitive skin who's always cautious about trying new products, I've been using this for a week now without any blemishes, tiny bumps, or burning sensation. While the soothing effect on my mask-irritated skin isn't dramatic, it's definitely noticeable! I've had a bad experience with The Lab by Blanc Doux Hyaluron Toner before, which made me wary of hyaluronic acid. Although this product also contains hyaluronic acid, I've been using it without any issues so far.
ConsThe texture is quite rich for a toner, which might feel a bit too oily for those with oily skin. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it works well for me, but I do notice my skin getting oily a bit faster. It's best suited for nighttime use.
TipI've found that applying this toner again after using an essence or ampoule seems to help the hydration last even longer!
