I've used Clio's Sharp So Simple eyeliner and pen liner before, but Tony Moly's color is a deeper brown, which I prefer as I wanted something between black and brown. My eye area is sensitive and thin, making it difficult to draw thin lines with most liners due to skin pilling. I tried Tony Moly's liquid liner after a while and was quite impressed. Since it's been reformulated as a vegan product, I hardly felt any eye irritation, and the staying power was excellent.
ConsOf course, if you lack skill when applying, you might end up with too much product, causing smudging or clumping. It's essential to control the amount using your nail, the back of your hand, or the built-in middle cap. The fact that it dries out is a bit of a drawback, but that's an unavoidable issue with this type of product. If you're careful with that, it's the best for clean and precise application.

I've been using the original one (with parabens) for about 7 years since college. I never thought about changing it because it worked so well. Recently, I was shocked when I looked at the ingredients and was about to stop using it, but then I found out they renewed the formula. So I immediately bought and tried the new version. The advantage is that it doesn't smudge (but this was true for the original version too).
ConsThe product dries out and clumps really quickly. I'm not usually picky about makeup, especially for eye products, but this is seriously problematic. It's only been a short while since I started using the new one, but it dries up so fast that I can't even draw a line properly even when there's nothing on my eyes. If I apply too much, it looks weird in its own way. I totally agree with the review above; it's a lose-lose situation. Also, when I try to draw a line over eyeshadow, it clumps terribly. In 7 years of using this product every morning before work, this is the first time it's clumped. I thought, 'Well, they improved the ingredients, but compromised on quality. Maybe this is the limitation of vegan products.' Please fix the clumping issue!
TipI'm seriously considering going back to the original version.
