[For combination dehydrated skin and super sensitive skin] Overall, it applies incredibly thinly without any feeling of heaviness. I really dislike when my skin feels suffocated using foundation or cushions, but this doesn't give that sensation at all, which is great. The formula itself is quite fluid, almost to the point of being runny. It adheres to the skin exceptionally well and absorbs smoothly. Even if you hastily pat it on, it doesn't pill much and naturally clings to the skin. While the coverage might be a bit lacking, applying it twice can somewhat conceal light blemishes like freckles. It's easy to apply and creates a pretty skin finish, making it a great recommendation for those new to makeup. As mentioned above, the coverage is a bit weak. It's also quite drying. If you have very dry skin, it might accentuate dead skin cells or start to separate quickly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 28, 2023
I'd say the coverage is about a 3 out of 10. It covers some redness well and blends seamlessly with the skin, giving a transparent look as if you naturally have great skin! After spot-concealing with a concealer, it leaves the complexion looking clean, with a beautiful tone and healthy appearance. I prefer natural-looking products over heavy, full-coverage formulas that feel suffocating, and this one is so satisfying. It doesn't break down messily, which is fantastic. I use shade 17, but it works well on my 21 skin tone too. It applies thinly, so rather than looking noticeably lighter, it seems to neutralize my skin tone. Currently, it's my go-to foundation! If I really had to nitpick, maybe the coverage? But honestly, that doesn't even bother me! Apply it thinly (I use a spatula) and instead of layering more product on areas needing coverage, use a concealer to spot-treat blemishes for a cleaner finish. It gives a beautiful, perfected look while making your skin texture appear improved. There's no need for heavy coverage everywhere - just use a small amount of concealer where absolutely necessary for the most polished result. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 20, 2022
It absorbs thinly, so your skin doesn't feel suffocated and it's lightweight. It allows for a natural-looking skin finish. The scent is stronger than expected. The coverage is lacking, so you need to apply multiple layers. It takes quite a while to do your makeup. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 30, 2022
It's incredibly hydrating and for a foundation, it goes on so lightly without feeling suffocating While it applies smoothly and feels moisturizing, the coverage is a bit lacking and it doesn't seem to hold up well throughout the day - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 6, 2022
True to its name as a 'second skin', it beautifully enhances skin texture and applies thinly, so you don't feel any heaviness! If I had to point out a downside, I'd say the coverage is a bit weak. While it's thin and beautifully expresses skin texture, it doesn't conceal blemishes very well! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2021
I think the biggest advantage of this product is undoubtedly its design. Just placing it on your vanity makes it look like a decorative object, serving as an interior accent piece. In fact, this was the main reason I bought it. The product's performance doesn't fall short either. It applies thinly while providing hydration to the skin. It feels moisturizing when applied but finishes matte, so it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Since it applies thinly and moistly, the coverage is inevitably a bit lacking. However, I decided to purchase it knowing I'd need to use additional concealer, so it doesn't particularly bother me. Perhaps because I have dry skin, the matte finish seems to accentuate fine lines and creasing around the nose. I apply it by gently patting with a dense sponge. Since it's a matte finish type, I recommend using it after thorough skincare to ensure your skin is well-hydrated. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 28, 2021
I prefer foundations with a thin, adherent formula, and Second Skin lives up to its name! It adheres thinly to the skin, which I really liked. When applied, it doesn't feel heavy at all, and the more you spread a small amount, the thinner and more comfortable it becomes. I bought shade 17 since my skin is a bit darker, but given how thinly it applies, even those who usually use shade 21 might find it gives them a bright complexion. On days when I'm not as careful with application, there can be some pilling, which is disappointing. However, this seems to be related to skin condition, so it's worth keeping in mind! When applied thinly with a brush, it really feels like you're adding a thin layer of second skin! For quick morning applications before work, you can easily pat it on with a puff. I appreciated how well it worked with different application tools. For areas where you want more coverage, I'd recommend using a concealer rather than layering the foundation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 12, 2021
As someone with combination skin, I usually mix other foundations with nox oil, but this product works great on its own. It applies thinly and doesn't feel heavy in summer (using a sponge). Although it's shade 17, it's not overly light. It applies thinly, which might make its staying power a bit weak. But other than that, everything else is great! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 21, 2021
I usually use shades 13-17, but since this product starts at 17, I bought shade 17. When applied, you can immediately feel it's thinner and more hydrating than other foundations. Though it's thin, it doesn't run excessively and is comfortable to use. It applies in a very thin layer, making it perfect for summer use. As the weather's been getting warmer, my winter and spring foundations started feeling heavy, but this product doesn't clog pores and feels incredibly lightweight. I don't have yellow-toned skin, and typical foundations with yellow undertones didn't suit me well, but this one matches my complexion nicely. However, like most lightweight foundations, its coverage isn't great. I haven't purchased the concealer released alongside this product yet, but you'll definitely need to use a separate concealer with this. If you prefer high coverage, you'll need to pair this with a good concealer. While I strongly recommend this as a summer product for those who like a light and sheer finish, it's hard to recommend to those who need more coverage. Use it with a concealer!
