The moisturizing and lightweight formula would be perfect for those with dry skin! As someone with atopic skin, I found it made my skin feel dry and caused dead skin cells to appear not long after application. The coverage was also a bit disappointing compared to how it performed otherwise. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinJul 11, 2024
I bought this foundation for summer and was initially surprised by its runny texture. I thought it might be a glowy type, but as soon as I started patting it with a puff, it adhered to my skin with impressive staying power. It's a unique formula - thin yet velvety. You can layer it multiple times without issue, and I love the ivory tone. It's even fine to apply by tapping with your fingers. The way it settles on the skin feels clean and smooth. If you don't control the amount well, it can leave fingerprints when touched. It sets rather quickly, so you need a bit of skill to work with it. It can feel a bit drying, so it might not be ideal for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 12, 2024
It adheres thinly to the skin and doesn't break down too badly The coverage is a bit lacking and it dries out quickly, so you'll need to prep your skin well - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 16, 2023
Coverage is decent... I really like the clear, peachy color. I think I'll use it well! It's a bit drying, unfortunately. As time passed, it really emphasized the dead skin cells around my nose area. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 26, 2023
It absorbs nicely with a thin layer and doesn't seem to pill easily Those with dry skin might want to skip this one as it's a bit drying - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 14, 2023
I love it! It's so soft! The skin finish is absolutely perfect. My face looks brighter too! It felt a bit dry as time went on, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 8, 2023
Natural-looking, doesn't transfer easily, pleasant scent that's not overpowering, feels lightweight Limited coverage and staying power, slightly drying, can feel tight on the skin, smaller quantity than expected - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 3, 2023
Top-rated foundation for neutralizing redness. The design is absolutely gorgeous. It applies lightly and thinly, feeling as comfortable as if you're not wearing any makeup. As someone with sensitive skin that flushes temporarily in cold winds or extreme heat, I consider color crucial for covering redness. This shade seems suitable for both warm and cool tones. I usually use the lightest or second lightest shade in other brands due to my fair skin, but in this line, 21 Ivory fits perfectly as the shades run lighter. While it may not provide full coverage overall, it does an incredible job at concealing redness, which I love! Even my cool-toned friend with fairer skin tried this shade and raved about how well it matched and covered her redness. Unless you have porcelain-like, translucent skin, this shade should work well for those with light complexions! The staying power is great with minimal transfer and no stickiness. The second photo shows it after 7-8 hours, and only my nose is slightly shiny. For reference, I tend to accumulate dead skin cells easily, have a lot of peach fuzz, and an oily T-zone. My makeup usually separates and breaks down quickly in the T-zone, but with this product, there's only a tiny bit of oil breakthrough, and it stays incredibly clean without any patchiness. It was excellent for covering redness and creating a clear complexion. It's such a shame it's been discontinued. Everyone has particularly dry areas on their face - for me, it's under my eyes, cheeks, and around my mouth. My skin is quite dry lately, especially my chin, which is flaking as shown in the third photo. Recent use of incompatible cosmetics has led to overall skin dryness and chin irritation, exacerbating the issue. While it's semi-matte, it leans more towards matte, so I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. It's better suited for combination or oily skin types. For those with dry skin, it might start to separate as the skin's natural oils evaporate over time. Recently, my skin has been consistently red, so I stopped using it. After my skin improved, I tried it again, only to discover that this product was the cause of my skin turning red and irritated. 1. Immediately after application 2. After 7-8 hours 3. First, my skin type is combination dehydrated with dead skin cells, sebum, and pore issues. To sum it up, I'd recommend this for oily skin types during winter. Adherence: ▪️▪️▪️▪️▫️ It transfers a bit to masks (which seems unavoidable), but minimal transfer to phones and hands. Darkening: ▪️▪️▪️▫️▫️ Slightly emphasizes dead skin cells. Rather than oddly breaking down, it feels more like it fades in patches. Pore-clogging: ▪️▪️▪️▫️▫️ Doesn't completely blur pores, but covers them adequately. Some pore-clogging when touching up. Skin appearance: ▪️▪️▪️▪️▫️ Gives a semi-matte finish and makes skin look smooth. I'm satisfied. Coverage: ▪️▪️▪️▫️▫️ You'll still need concealer. It doesn't cover acne scars well, but it's not without coverage. At first, I thought it didn't suit my skin, but I kept using it not to waste it. After finding the right emulsion and amount, it works well for me now! I initially thought this product was too matte, so I applied a lot of emulsion, which backfired. It somewhat emphasizes dead skin cells, and I think it might be too drying for those with dry skin. Use just a small amount of emulsion and let it absorb fully before applying the foundation. That's why I usually apply emulsion, do other things like putting in my contacts, and then apply the foundation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 18, 2022
1. Natural and beautiful skin appearance - When I bought the Hince foundation, I read many reviews and noticed a lot of people saying it creates a natural and beautiful skin look! After using it for several months, I can confirm it applies thinly and naturally, really enhancing the appearance of skin texture. 2. Gorgeous packaging design - I never used to care much about foundation packaging, but this product's design is so beautiful that having it on my vanity feels like displaying a decorative object, which lifts my mood. 3. No darkening - This might vary from person to person, but I didn't experience any darkening. Though if applied too thickly, there might be some darkening...? 1. Low coverage - Because its strength is creating a natural and beautiful skin appearance, the coverage is on the lower side. I prefer a more natural look even with less coverage, so it was fine for me. But if you prioritize coverage, you'll need to use a different product or make concealer a must-have! 2. Slightly dry feel for those with dry skin - While it's fine on my T-zone, my cheeks are very dry, so if I don't prep my skin thoroughly, the makeup can look patchy on my cheeks. When applying to my cheeks, I mix in a bit of facial oil (which is a bit of a hassle). I've tried various application methods, but it works best with a damp sponge!
