Natural-looking, doesn't transfer easily, pleasant scent that's not overpowering, feels lightweight Limited coverage and staying power, slightly drying, can feel tight on the skin, smaller quantity than expected - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 13, 2022
It applies thinly and creates a beautifully transparent skin texture! Plus, it doesn't transfer onto masks at all! The darkening... it's extremely severe... If you use this alone, that lovely look disappears in no time.. Try applying a brightening moisturizer or makeup base first, then layer this on top.. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 2, 2022
It goes on light and doesn't feel uncomfortable or stuffy on the skin! It's quite powdery, so I'd recommend it to those who like a matte finish and no transfer. For me, it was a bit too matte, but it's pretty good for summer use! The absorption isn't great, and sometimes when my skin isn't in good condition, the foundation can separate or pill. While coverage isn't the main focus of this product, it really doesn't offer much coverage at all... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 6, 2022
First off, the skin finish is absolutely amazing... I switched from Innisfree My Foundation, and the reason was that even though it had medium-high coverage, it broke down quickly and unattractively. But this foundation beautifully addresses both issues! It might just be my holy grail foundation... I usually don't wear makeup because I hate when it transfers onto my mask, but this barely transfers at all... (I've attached a photo~) Even that transfer looks more noticeable in the picture; in reality, it's much lighter! The coverage is too sheer. Even for mild blemishes, you're better off using a separate concealer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 3, 2021
Skin type: Combination + milia-prone With an oily T-zone and dry cheeks, I've always struggled to find the right balance between hydrating and matte products. While the Too Cool For School cushion has been my go-to, I've been a foundation nomad until now. I think I've finally found my holy grail! First off, it creates a beautifully flawless complexion. Despite my enlarged pores and milia, it covers everything nicely. Best of all, it doesn't transfer much onto masks, making it perfect for the current situation. The design is absolutely stunning too. It's the complete package! The ingredients aren't as clean as I'd hoped, but I suppose that's to be expected with foundation. On the bright side, it doesn't cause blemishes! I recommend applying it with a cushion or puff rather than a brush. If you find the coverage slightly lacking, a concealer is a must-have! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 23, 2021
It's thin, adheres well, and looks natural. I've worn this for half a day, and amazingly, there's barely any transfer on my mask. Just a tiny bit in the circled area, but that's it! The scent isn't bad per se, but it's a bit off-putting for a facial product. Makes me hesitant to use it on my face. I typically only use puffs anyway, so while I tried the included brush once initially, I've stuck to using the puff for application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 31, 2021
As a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'll give you my honest opinion. Quick take: If you hate foundation transferring onto your mask, get this now! ————————————————————- My skin type is super sensitive combination dehydrated skin with lots of red blemish marks. The lightweight texture adheres well to the skin. It feels like it's hugging your face, so it doesn't transfer onto masks easily. Perfect for spring and summer use! The ivory shade is neither too light nor too dark, making it ideal for those with fair complexions. It also does a great job covering redness, which I love! I applied it before work and didn't need to touch up once. There was minimal oxidation, so I'm thrilled! The coverage was a bit disappointing. As it's a sheer foundation, the coverage is quite low. It's best for achieving a natural, transparent makeup look. I'm currently applying a thin layer of foundation and then spot-concealing where needed. To prevent my makeup from sliding, I only use toner and essence for skincare, then apply sunscreen -> primer -> foundation. I apply a thin layer with a brush, then pat it in with a damp sponge twice. This significantly reduces transfer onto masks. Lightly setting with a translucent powder (from brands like Pxx, Innisxree, or Makeup Forxver) further prevents transfer. At most, only the nose area might transfer a tiny bit. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 31, 2021
I have dry skin. I had heard about the Hince foundation but never tried it. Since I have dry skin, I always stuck to glowy types. But with summer approaching, I was looking for a matte option when I won this! The good points are: 1. It really adheres lightly and thinly to the skin. 2. It doesn't make you look shiny or too pale. Instead, it evens skin tone naturally. 3. It's clean with no transfer. The downside is: After wearing the foundation for a while, it tends to darken. Other than that, I didn't find any other drawbacks! The foundation is a bit on the dry side, so if you have very dry skin and receive this as a gift or decide to use it, it might be good to mix it with an essence before applying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 31, 2021
It absorbs like magic! The absorption power is absolutely mind-blowing! It feels as light as air, like it's my own skin. The biggest advantage is its incredible lightness - you can layer it multiple times without any pilling. It also has excellent adherence, leaving no traces on your mask and not sticking to your hair. That's seriously impressive! It creates a porcelain-like skin texture with a subtle, elegant glow. I was using Dior foundation before, but Hince's skin expression is even better! I'll definitely repurchase this once I finish it. Cons: I have dry skin, so it might feel a bit drying in winter. However, it shouldn't be a big issue from now on. While I could layer it three times without feeling heavy, the coverage is slightly weak. One layer might not be enough, so if you want stronger coverage, you'll need to apply two or more layers. (It might be a bit light for those who prioritize very high coverage.) However, I personally didn't find the coverage to be too weak. (Pro tip: If you pat on some Luna concealer afterwards, you can achieve a high-end, porcelain-like skin finish. It absolutely won't leave marks on your mask!) Now that it's summer, I didn't feel any dryness at all. It seems to be the perfect foundation for summer. In fact, it's become my go-to foundation from now on. It absorbs like air, feeling just like my own skin, and doesn't leave any marks when I take off my mask. It's currently my favorite! Thanks to its excellent adherence, it gives my skin a porcelain-like finish without being excessive. If you add some concealer, you can maintain a smooth, pore-less look all day long. Honestly, I couldn't feel much difference between this and Dior foundation. Apply it with a sponge after using a primer. Add some concealer for extra coverage, and finish with a mist spray for amazing results! You'll get long-lasting adherence with an elegant glow that's not too shiny. While Hince doesn't have a wide range of products, I'm already using their brow mascara, and the quality of each item is superb. I think I'll have to switch to their products one by one. It's my current favorite! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 30, 2021
The shade 21 matches my skin tone perfectly and it applies so smoothly and lightly! I think the color is really well-formulated. I've found that if I apply a thin layer, or maybe two thin layers instead of one thick one, it doesn't seem to transfer onto my mask much. It strikes a nice balance - not super moisturizing, but not completely matte either. I have oily skin, but I'm currently on medication from my dermatologist, so I've been applying my skincare very meticulously to keep my skin hydrated. When I use this foundation, it doesn't make my skin feel dry, nor does it break down easily. It seems just right for my needs. (Of course, it will break down after extended wear!) I wouldn't say it breaks down in a particularly flattering way though. I found the coverage to be a bit weak, especially since I used to use Double Wear foundation. Overall, it's a decent, easy-to-use foundation. If you have good skin, you could probably use any foundation and be fine. However, I wouldn't recommend this for people with acne scars or a lot of blemishes! I felt like I needed to use concealer with it, and more concealer than I would with other foundations.
