  As someone in their 20s with combination dehydrated skin, I used to only use soothing creams or gel creams. But doing that every day seemed to make my skin dry, causing tiny blemishes to appear. During a visit to my aunt's house for the Lunar New Year, she recommended this cream. After checking the ingredients on Hwahae and seeing nothing harmful for oily skin, I decided to try it. While it felt rich, the next day my skin had a glow and was so hydrated - I loved it! Even though it might have mixed with my natural oils, I didn't get a single blemish, which was amazing! I think it would be great to apply this during winter or on days when you have a lot of dead skin cells. I've been using it consistently for 2 years now, and I must have gone through over 10 jars!

  Cons

  For those with extremely oily skin, this might feel a bit heavy. I'd recommend applying just a small amount on areas where dead skin cells tend to build up.

  Tip

  It might feel a bit heavy if applied in the morning during summer, so I suggest applying a generous amount at night before bed. In winter, I'd recommend using this cream and then layering a very thin layer of a nutrient-rich cream on top for extra nourishment.

  Incredibly hydrating with a smooth application that absorbs well. Unless you have extremely dry skin, applying this generously after your toner should be enough to keep your skin moisturized. With consistent use, it might even help with fine lines. That's why I use it as an eye cream substitute, applying it around my eyes and neck too. It's also reasonably priced.

  Cons

  It's not extremely gentle, so as someone with super sensitive skin, I find daily use a bit irritating. I've settled on using it every other day. On alternate days, I use a basic moisturizer, and then I apply this Madeca cream for its functional benefits the next day. It's worth noting that it's a bit rich, so I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types.
