I usually buy the Laneige pack in bulk, but One Thing's version definitely has less excess powder. Each single-use packet contains just the right amount to generously cover your entire face. Comparing it to Laneige, I've noticed that while Laneige is cheaper, it dries quickly in thinly applied areas, leaving the outer parts of your face quite dry. This one, however, is much better in that regard - there's less deep dryness, and when you peel it off, there's less dried residue, making it much easier to clean up. Even after removing the mask, my skin still feels nicely hydrated. I've used all 7 packs, and I'm planning to try other modeling mask lines from One Thing when they go on sale. The only downside was that the Olive Young special didn't include a measuring scoop, which was a bit disappointing. - il*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessAug 1, 2024
I bought the famous 1kg size, and the main advantage is that there's no excess powder when mixing it. It's not particularly cheap, and there's no real merit to it. The particles seem too fine, so when it dries around the edges, it transfers a lot. Even with a thick application, it still transfers. Ads, beauty YouTubers, and even official sources all admit to some degree of transfer. Other products transfer too, but maybe it's because this one doesn't contain starch and has extremely fine particles? You need to mix it with very, very cold water. - aa******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 24, 2024
The powder is finely milled, so it blends well. It mixes nicely with other products and applies smoothly on the skin. I really liked how it absorbs well, and it's hydrating even for dry skin. I enjoyed using it! While the powder is fine, it tends to create a bit of excess when applying. Be careful and use it gently to avoid this issue. You can mix it with other modeling masks. It blends well even with spirulina powder. - rf*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 6, 2024
I used to avoid modeling masks because they were a hassle, but after trying one, I can't stop using them! The cooling sensation and visibly refined skin texture are just too good to pass up. The tricky part is getting the water ratio right, and it sets pretty quickly. It takes some time to get used to the process. - ch********Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 30, 2024
As someone with oily skin and large pores, I heard collagen works well, so I bought this collagen-based product. Initially, I used it almost daily, then switched to twice a week. Sometimes I used it alone, other times mixed with other products - the latter felt more hydrating and I preferred it. Among the three modeling masks I've tried, including this one, this product mixed the best with minimal clumping. When well-blended, it had a soft dough or mud-like texture. Even after 15 minutes, the inner layer stayed moist, so leaving it on for about 20 minutes works well too. Applying serum or essence before the mask helps the hydrating effect last longer, and it feels like the essence absorbs better. Although 'collagen' is in the product name, I'm not sure if it specifically helps with skin elasticity. I've almost finished one product, but honestly, I didn't notice much improvement in firmness. I mainly thought of it as aiding product absorption and maintaining hydration. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars, but it seems half-stars aren't an option. Like most modeling mask products, there's some excess powder, but it was the least messy among the ones I've tried. - sk**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 4, 2024
I tried the 3-pack sample set from Olive Young and loved it, so I bought the full size. This was my first time using a modeling mask, and it was One Thing - I think I'll stick with One Thing from now on. The measuring cup, pack bowl, and spatula you get when you spend a bit more are really useful and nice. It feels great to apply lots of ampoule and then layer on the modeling mask. The modeling mask itself is a bit of a hassle... sigh. And it's quite pricey too. I wish they'd have sales more often! It works even better if you use toner instead of water. - sh*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 4, 2024
I love how the modeling mask itself is so fine, it feels like it's clinging perfectly to my skin The only downside is that I feel like there's not quite enough product in the package. But it's still great because of how gentle it is - ek********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 2, 2024
It's so convenient to use with just a cotton pad since it comes in single-use packets! While it's handy and individually packaged, I find the pre-measured amount and high price a bit disappointing. I switched to this because other brands' tea tree products didn't seem to suit me. The ingredients are gentle, and I recommend it for super sensitive skin or oily skin types! - gu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 5, 2024
Definitely gentle and great for improving skin texture. It's nice to wake up the next day with well-maintained hydration. It's challenging to get the water ratio right... Even when you think you've nailed it, it still feels a bit runny and can easily drip when applied. That's how tricky the water balance is. - bo**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessRecommendedDec 10, 2023
After using, my skin feels moisturized and soft, while also giving the sensation of thoroughly cleansing pores of sebum and impurities. I appreciated the comfortable application without any irritation. When applying to the face, there's a fishy scent that's slightly off-putting. However, the smell disappears once it's fully applied.
