This product is an absolute game-changer! 1) My skin is prone to breakouts when I use oily products, and it's also thin, sensitive, and prone to wrinkles. This product has a wonderfully moisturizing and gentle formula that works great for me. 2) The brand recommends using this as a night treatment, and I've found it works brilliantly as an eye sleeping mask. When I apply it generously before bed, I wake up to noticeably reduced dark circles - those pesky triangular shadows under my eyes seem to vanish! 3) However, I wouldn't recommend using it under makeup during the day, as it might cause your foundation to pill or leave texture marks, depending on the foundation's formula. 4) The best part? You can really feel it working. I have prominent aegyo-sal (under-eye puffiness) and noticeable eye smiles when I laugh, so I'm particularly concerned about sagging and wrinkles around my eyes. The morning after using this, my eye makeup doesn't settle into fine lines, and the contours around my eyes look firmer and more defined. 1) While I don't mind it, some might dislike the slight warming sensation when applying the product with your fingers. 2) The rich texture means your hair might stick to it if you're not careful. It doesn't have a matte finish, but I personally enjoy skincare products with a bit of tackiness, so it doesn't bother me. 3) The pot packaging raises some hygiene concerns. It's a bit disappointing they didn't opt for a tube, which seems feasible for this formula. I make sure to wash my hands thoroughly and close the lid immediately after use to maintain cleanliness. I've incorporated this into my nightly routine, applying it generously around my eyes and nasolabial folds before going to sleep. - su*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 22, 2021
Rich texture: Unlike lighter eye creams, this eye balm applies with a substantial, weighty feel due to its balm formulation. It might feel a bit tacky at first, but as it absorbs, you can feel your delicate eye area becoming more supple and firm. I was so impressed with the sample I received with my Hourglass Veil Primer purchase that I bought the full-size product. I think eye balms suit me better than eye creams, so I'll likely keep repurchasing this instead. Scent: While not completely fragrance-free, it's very close to being unscented. The subtle scent is quite pleasant. I'm honored to be the first to review the Hourglass Eye Balm. I'm a big fan of Hourglass and have been gradually switching to their products like stick foundation and primer. Their cosmetics offer truly high satisfaction. The stickiness and price are potential downsides. While the initial tackiness does subside as the product absorbs, it can cause flyaway hairs to stick to your face. As for the price, I was fortunate to purchase it at a 40% discount. It would be great if such promotions were more frequent.
