It's such a shame this product has been discontinued... The color was so beautiful. I'm really disappointed it's been discontinued! Can anyone recommend a similar shade? - ge************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2020
The color is absolutely stunning - a matte, non-muddy rose shade that's truly beautiful. It applies smoothly with excellent adherence, giving a perfect matte finish. The only downside is that, being a Chanel lipstick, it comes with a rather hefty price tag. - ar******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 1, 2020
1. The color is beautiful. It's like a dried rose with a hint of wine, exactly the shade I was hoping for. I snatched it up quickly and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. Depending on how you do your makeup, it looks gorgeous even as a full lip without appearing tacky. 2. Both a pro and a con - the color payoff is incredible. With just one light swipe, it applies very intensely. Usually, I prefer to dab lightly to define my lip line and then apply more heavily in the center for a gradient effect, but with this one, I have to just swipe the inner part of my lips and blend outwards for a gradient look. 3. It's long-lasting. The staining effect is also beautiful. 1. I don't use lip balm, so I apply Vaseline and wait about 10 minutes before applying lipstick (meaning my lips are very moisturized). However, with this lipstick, after about 1-2 hours, my lips feel parched - dry and as if dead skin cells are about to appear. My lips feel dehydrated and the skin feels rough. Though nothing actually flakes off, it gives the sensation that it might. (Update) 1-1. After removing my makeup, why are my lips in this condition? I don't recommend this lipstick. 2. It also applies quite dryly. I used the term 'swipe' earlier, but it doesn't glide on smoothly at all. The absorption is poor. (Update) 2-1. When my lips are in average condition (not bad, just average), it clings excessively. It clumps together with lip skin, applying very darkly. Although it's a matte lipstick, for the sake of your lips, make sure to apply lip balm over the lipstick after application. Alternatively, apply lip balm first, then the lipstick. The key is to ensure your lips are in good condition to begin with.
