This is my holy grail lip balm! I've been using it since it launched in 2021 and I must have gone through at least 15 of them by now. Even when my lips are in terrible condition and super dry, applying this balm calms down the dead skin cells and makes them look moisturized and beautiful! All the colors are pretty, but for cool-toned skin, the Rosy shade is the most flattering! Berry is also nice, but the color payoff is a bit strong for layering, so I prefer to apply Rosy multiple times. Mauve would probably suit warm-toned skin well. My office is so dry that tints and lipsticks always make my lips flaky, so I just keep applying this non-stop! It's on the softer side, so it applies easily, but it gets used up really quickly. It's also quite pricey for a lip balm, but I haven't found another one with such pretty color payoff and hydration... The color is prettier than expected and it applies smoothly. I've tried other shades too, and most of them are quite nice. If applied incorrectly, it can settle into lip lines. I was looking for a tinted lip balm that I could apply lightly, and this one was perfect - not too heavy and quite moisturizing! The color is also versatile and lovely. I bought both the Berry and Rosy shades during a 1+1 sale and tried them both. Personally, I think the Rosy shade looks prettier. It's great for a natural look without making you appear dull. I especially love using this product for a subtle blush - it looks absolutely gorgeous! Despite being marketed as a lip balm, it falls short in terms of hydration and longevity. Sometimes it feels like it's just floating on your lips like oil. Every time I use this lacquer lip balm, it settles into the fine lines of my lips and brings out dead skin cells. I'm planning to switch back to my previous Bioderma and Uriage lip balms. It's moisturizing and the color payoff is great. My lips often get chapped, so lip balm is a must-have. Being vegan, I feel comfortable applying it frequently. The hydration is excellent. This is truly a color lip balm in every sense. The color payoff is great, making it perfect for quick outings when used alone. I found it so good that I didn't even need to use lipstick or tint. However, despite being a lip balm, it doesn't seem to offer great hydration. With continued use, it can even emphasize dead skin cells, so it's not ideal for lip care.
