ConsWhile gentler and more moisturizing than regular cleansing foams, in my case it was quite drying as I have a dry skin type, so the lack of moisture was a bit disappointing.

There's less tightness and irritation. I bought this product in a hurry as the dryness became severe right as winter set in. I didn't have high expectations, but it's actually quite nice. This is the first time I've used a Neutrogena product.
ConsOh my goodness! After searching on Hwahae, I found that this product contains 3 harmful ingredients! It includes a preservative, so I've deducted one star.

But since using the Neutrogena Deep Clean Hydrating Foaming Cleanser, I no longer need to wipe with a pad and can directly apply my skincare routine. 🤍And even though I've used other products with similar mild acidity, I never really noticed them drying out my skin. But with this Neutrogena foaming cleanser, I could clearly feel the difference - it left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth, without any dryness. I think this is because it helps maintain the skin's moisture barrier. 🤍In fact, I've never experienced such a noticeable difference from a cleansing foam before, so I was quite amazed. I liked it so much that I bought two more bottles to stock up.
ConsThere didn't seem to be any downsides. I liked the clean, white packaging of the cleansing foam, and whether my nails were long or short, I didn't find the lid to be inconvenient to open and close.
TipWhile this isn't a groundbreaking tip, since this is a 'foaming' cleanser, I found that lathering it up in the palms before applying makes for an even more hydrating cleansing experience.

Since it's slightly acidic, I thought the lather might not be as abundant, but it lathered up nicely and felt soft, so I didn't need to use a lather net. The cleansing power was also excellent. My eye makeup isn't very heavy, but my usual eyeliner and eyeshadow were completely removed, and even when I wore mascara occasionally, it removed it quite well. However, the formula is not thick and heavy, so there was no burden or irritation before or after cleansing. I don't really like the squeaky clean feeling after cleansing, but this product didn't have that at all! Instead, my skin felt moisturized and soft after cleansing. I even feel like my skin has improved, which might just be my imagination. This was the most satisfying part. I was lucky to receive this product through a good opportunity, and I'm so grateful that it suits me so well and I'm so satisfied with it. 💖
ConsWhen I checked the ingredients before use, I was worried because there were 3 out of 20 caution ingredients. Luckily, I haven't had any skin troubles so far, but sensitive skin types may hesitate after checking the ingredients.

I was a bit worried that it might irritate my sensitive skin during the seasonal change, but since it's a mild cleanser, I was able to cleanse my skin thoroughly without any irritation. This product is perfect for those with sensitive skin who are concerned about skin irritation or tightness after cleansing. The scent is also pleasant and subtle!
ConsThere's really nothing I'm particularly dissatisfied with, but if I had to point out one thing, it's that the product lathers so well even with a small amount that you may need to rinse it thoroughly to completely remove all the lather.
TipI think it's a good idea to use different Neutrogena cleansers depending on your skin's condition that day! I've also purchased and use the Soothing Cleanser separately after the Hydrating Cleanser, and alternating between the two seems to work well for me.

When I first tried squeezing it out, the texture was a bit thinner than a typical foam cleanser - almost like a shampoo, which was interesting. It also lathers up really well. The two best things I noticed were the cleansing power and the moisturizing effect! The cleansing power is really impressive. I tested it by applying tint, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and brow makeup to my hand, and it removed everything except the tint stain. Even my waterproof eyeliner, which is usually stubborn, came off easily. The cleansing is just so effective. The moisturizing effect is also great. Even after rinsing, my skin feels soft and supple, not at all tight or stripped. At first, I thought I hadn't rinsed it all off, but nope, it just leaves my skin that moisturized. Most cleansers make my skin feel a bit dry before I apply toner, but this one doesn't have that effect. I've been using it for about a week now, and I'm really impressed. I love it!
ConsI haven't found any major downsides yet, but those who really prefer a very squeaky-clean feeling might not get that sensation with this cleanser. The ingredients also aren't the best, which is a bit disappointing.
TipFor those with very sensitive skin, try using a cleansing brush or sponge to create a rich, creamy lather with this cleanser. It makes for a gentle, yet effective cleansing experience!

First, the product texture is not very thick. When you squeeze it out, it's slightly runny. So the lather doesn't get as abundant as expected. But I actually prefer less lather, so that was fine with me. Also, since it's a mild, low-pH formula, there were no issues with irritation or breakouts when I used it. The cleansing power was good too! I don't wear a lot of makeup, just sunscreen and cushion foundation, but it was able to remove everything thoroughly without leaving any residue. + After using it for over a month, I started getting some breakouts, so I had to stop using it. :(
ConsAfter trying it, I compared it to my current product, the Happy Bath Cleansing Foam, but I didn't really notice a big difference. The biggest disappointment was that despite being labeled as 'moisture-charging', it didn't hydrate my skin at all. Even the product I'm using now leaves my skin a bit dehydrated, but the Neutrogena one was the same. I had high expectations since I won the Hwahae trial, but the key benefits I was hoping for were completely unmet, so I had to deduct two stars. Personally, I don't think it would work well for dry skin types like mine that struggle with dehydration. And the added fragrance is also a bit of a concern for me. Overall, it's just an average product. It doesn't have any major downsides, but also no outstanding advantages compared to the product claims and good ingredients.
