Who doesn't know Neutrogena's cleanser, right? As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm incredibly picky about cleansers. I'm the type who says goodbye to products that don't work for me, even if they're pricey. That's how much I trust and use this Neutrogena cleanser! It creates rich lather, cleanses thoroughly, and even though I focus on eye makeup and rub my eyes quite a bit... they're totally fine!
ConsWhile it's a huge plus that it doesn't have artificial fragrances, the scent just doesn't quite agree with me. I have to hold my breath for a moment when cleansing.
TipTo avoid potential skin damage, use only a small amount of cleanser. Mix it with water to create a sufficient lather before applying it to your face!

My skin tends to be dry, especially around the nose area, and without emulsion, it would get flaky and peel. But this cleansing foam leaves my skin feeling so hydrated! Of course, I still need to use emulsion, but among all the cleansers I've tried, this one provides the best moisture. It's gentle on the skin and rinses off easily too! If I were to buy a cleanser again, I'd definitely choose this one. Oh, and I think the PHA ingredient might be helping with pore care as well.
ConsThere's nothing I can really fault about this product. I hope it continues to be successful!

I could apply my skincare right after cleansing. Moreover, while using this cleanser, I truly understood what it means for a product to maintain the skin's moisture barrier. Unlike other mild acidic cleansers that sometimes left my skin feeling dry, this one kept my skin feeling hydrated and improved my skin texture. It was a noticeable difference - I finally grasped what it means for a foam cleanser to leave your skin feeling moisturized while still thoroughly cleansing. I was so impressed by the difference this cleanser made that I bought two more to stock up. It's rare for me to notice such a significant improvement with a cleansing foam.
ConsI can't think of any downsides. The packaging is clean and white, which I like. The cap was easy to open and close, whether I had long or short nails.
TipIt might not be much of a tip, but since it's a foaming cleanser, I found using a foam net to create a rich lather before applying it to my face gave an even more moisturizing cleansing experience.

I was worried that being low pH, it might not lather well, so I was planning to use a foam net. But there was no need - it foamed up beautifully and felt wonderfully soft. The cleansing effectiveness was excellent. While I don't wear heavy eye makeup, it thoroughly removed my usual eyeliner and eyeshadow. It even did a great job with mascara on the occasions I wore it. Despite its cleansing power, the formula wasn't heavy or overwhelming, causing no irritation before or after washing. I'm not a fan of that squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing, and this product didn't have that at all, which I loved! Instead, my skin felt hydrated and soft after washing. I think it might be improving my complexion too, though that could be my imagination. This was definitely the most satisfying aspect for me. I'm so grateful to have had the chance to try this product - it suits me perfectly and I'm thoroughly satisfied with it.
ConsWhen I checked the ingredients before use, I was concerned to find three out of the 20 cautionary ingredients listed. Fortunately, I haven't experienced any blemishes on my skin so far, but those with super sensitive skin might hesitate when looking at the ingredient list.

When I first tried it, I was surprised by its consistency - it's thinner than typical foam cleansers, almost like shampoo. It lathers up nicely too! The two standout features for me were its cleansing effectiveness and moisturizing properties. Firstly, its cleansing power is truly impressive. I tested it by applying tint, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and brow products on my hand, and I was amazed that it removed everything except for the tint stain. Even my usually stubborn, waterproof eyeliner came off easily. The cleansing effectiveness is definitely top-notch. As for hydration, my skin feels moisturized even after cleansing, without that tight, squeaky-clean feeling. At first, I thought I hadn't rinsed properly, but it turns out it's just that moisturizing! Unlike most foam cleansers that leave my skin feeling dry before applying toner, this one doesn't cause any tightness, which I really appreciate. These are my impressions after using it for about a week, and I'm absolutely loving it!
ConsWhile I haven't found any major drawbacks yet, those who prefer a super 'squeaky clean' feeling might not get that sensation with this cleanser. Also, the ingredients list isn't particularly impressive, which is a bit disappointing.
TipFor those with super sensitive skin, try using a foam maker to create a lather before applying. This cleansing foam produces a soft, moisturizing foam when used with a foam maker!

Thanks to its amino ingredients that protect the moisture barrier, I recommend this for those with dry skin and sensitive skin who prefer low pH products. Cleansing effectiveness: For heavy makeup days, I usually do a double cleanse. After double cleansing, it removes everything cleanly! However, when I tested it on the back of my hand with concealer, Rom&nd lipstick, and dark brown eyeshadow, while it removed the color makeup completely, the long-lasting concealer remained. So, I found it perfect for morning cleansing! After washing, my skin felt moisturized, which made my makeup application less drying. It was great for a light morning cleanse, or even for nights when I only wore sunscreen or went bare-faced during the day. Scent: The scent is barely noticeable, close to unscented. Maybe a slight soap-like fragrance? Quantity: It comes in a generous 175g size! You only need to use a small amount as it lathers up really well, so it lasts a long time!
ConsDrawbacks: The cleansing power is a bit disappointing. It doesn't remove base makeup well, so double cleansing is a must on days when you wear foundation! Also, I have combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. For those with oily skin, it might clog pores and cause blemishes. I recommend this more for those with dry skin!
TipTip: If you're using cleansing oil, I recommend following up with an alkaline foam cleanser for your second cleanse. If you're using cleansing water, go for a low pH foam cleanser. Using a low pH foam cleanser after cleansing oil can clog pores and cause blemishes! Finishing with a low pH foam cleanser after using cleansing water will leave your skin clean and moisturized, helping to prevent skin aging.

Think of it as a foam cleanser that minimizes irritation while maximizing hydration. Neutrogena always impresses with their ample quantities. Ingredients and Benefits: The Hydrating Foaming Cleanser lives up to its refreshing name. It contains 2% hyaluronic acid to lock in skin's moisture, PHA to protect hydration, and fatty acids to prevent skin damage. Plus, with amino deep clean ingredients, it maintains 99% of your skin's moisture barrier even after cleansing, thanks to amino acids that closely match your skin's natural properties. It also removes 99% of ultra-fine dust and skin residue! It's dermatologist-tested and suitable for sensitive skin. User Experience: No tightness or dryness - just extra hydration as a bonus! For those with extremely dry skin that loses moisture quickly, this is a game-changer. As someone with dry skin, I was thrilled to try this hydrating product. Cleansing Power: Not only does it contain PHA, but it also preserves 99% of your moisture barrier while effectively removing ultra-fine dust. Perfect for seasons with high pollution levels. Texture: When mixed with water, it instantly creates a whipped cream-like foam. This type of foam gives a thorough cleansing sensation. The Hydrating Foaming Cleanser feels cool and refreshing from the moment it touches your skin. You can feel the hydration immediately, and it has a crisp scent. While it looks quite thick, it's surprisingly gentle and easy to massage into your skin. The foam isn't large and fluffy, but rather dense and rich, giving a sense of detailed cleansing. With its generous size, I could use plenty for a thorough cleansing massage. It lathers well even without water, and when mixed with water, it creates an even finer, more detailed foam, perfect for deep cleansing.
ConsI'm experiencing some blemishes... There must be an ingredient that doesn't agree with my skin.
TipThis product is perfect for my combination, dry, and sensitive skin. I highly recommend it for those with irritated and tired skin in this era of mask-wearing.
