(I use a cotton pad to gently wipe my skin with toner or essence, then apply a troubled skin lotion or emulsion to finish.)

 I haven't fully tested the makeup removal capabilities of this product yet, but based on my observations, the mild acidity suggests the cleansing power may be a bit lower compared to other products.

But when the cleanser arrived, I was pleasantly surprised even before using it - the lemon verbena or lemon herb scent was so refreshing and vitamin-like. The formula is a thick, creamy white that becomes a rich, smooth lather when mixed with water. I was amazed at how gentle it was on my sensitive skin, as it did not cause any breakouts. I've been dealing with oily skin and persistent acne lately. I was curious about the brightening claims, so I decided to try this product. Ultimately, I didn't really notice any brightening effects from using this as a cleansing foam. It's probably not the best product to expect brightening results from.
However, I did like that it had good cleansing power. When I tried removing eye makeup, the eyeliner and eyeshadow came off easily without needing an additional cleansing oil. And after washing my face, my skin didn't feel as dry compared to other cleansers I've used.
This is likely due to the product being mildly acidic. While that's a positive, it also means it may not be as effective at deep cleaning and controlling oil/sebum. 
Overall, if you're just looking for a gentle, non-irritating daily cleansing foam from a trusted brand like Neutrogena, this could be a good option. But don't expect major brightening benefits from it.
