Even with my sensitive, atopic-prone skin, I didn't experience any irritation from the ingredients. It does a decent job covering redness, and while it might struggle with blemishes, it's great at concealing pores. I loved that it wasn't drying on my skin! It seems to have a semi-matte finish.
ConsThere's nothing disappointing about the product itself, but the puff tends to tear easily and there's some excess powder.
TipIt works great with those firm, skin-toned puffs that various brands offer.

Gives a nice glow. The puff is excellent.
ConsIt's a bit greasy and tends to clump. The color is too yellow... Expensive without refill options, and what's with the puff price? The case feels flimsy. Seems to run out faster than other cushions...

The color is also more radiant. With my darker complexion, I had given up on brightness (pink or red tones make my already large face look bigger and darker). However, Alaska is about half a shade lighter than my skin, making it look natural and luminous. It makes your skin look naturally beautiful, as if you have good skin to begin with, and it wears off gracefully. It applies thinly and feels lightweight, with almost no heaviness or stuffiness. The design is right up my alley, and the scent is minimal and not overpowering. The coverage is medium-high, making it suitable to use the cushion alone. It has a cooling effect and doesn't get greasy or sticky, making it great for summer use. It doesn't cake or pill when reapplied, so it seems good for touch-ups too. While there is some darkening, it's not severe, and the longevity is decent.
ConsThe amount is small. The price. The puff is expensive too. While the longevity and adherence aren't bad, it transfers quite a bit. Not sure if I just got a bad one, but when I open it, the middle cover comes up with it. The durability of the container, especially the opening part, seems weak. I wonder if it's acceptable to make it like this at this price point. It accentuates wrinkles. The matte black case easily shows fingerprints and product residue, which are hard to wipe off.
TipUsing a primer helps reduce transfer somewhat.

Plus, NARS's signature advantage - a wide range of shades! Alaska is a very yellow-toned color that's hard to find in drugstore brands. It's a perfect match for my complexion, so I'm really satisfied. I'm also using the same Alaska shade in NARS Radiant Glow foundation and loving it.
ConsIt runs out incredibly fast... When I used only this cushion for my makeup, it seemed to be gone in about a month. Considering the department store price of $35 for a refill, the amount is a bit disappointing. Also, the packaging durability is somewhat lacking. The puff size feels a bit small too.
TipYou can layer it multiple times without pilling, and it applies smoothly, making it perfect for touch-ups.
