While the Black Cushion always looked a bit cakey, since switching to this one, people have been complimenting me on how good my skin looks!
ConsIt seems too yellow for my complexion. It's not lighter than my skin, but it's so yellow that it looks like it's floating on top? I don't think it matches my skin tone well.

The makeup doesn't appear heavy, yet it provides good coverage. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or oily.
ConsThe staying power is a bit disappointing. It's not bad, but it doesn't last very long.

It's really versatile. It's semi-matte but doesn't feel dry, and I've been told several times that my skin looks great. Despite being a cushion, it wears beautifully. I have sensitive skin, but this worked well for me. I estimate my skin tone is 24, and in winter, the cushion is slightly darker than my natural skin, but I like a natural skin look, so I'm satisfied. In summer, due to tanning, it naturally appears about half a shade lighter.
ConsIt's a Japanese product... So I switched to a different foundation, but ended up with a blemish outbreak, so I'll be going back to this product...

Even with my sensitive, atopic-prone skin, I didn't experience any irritation from the ingredients. It does a decent job covering redness, and while it might struggle with blemishes, it's great at concealing pores. I loved that it wasn't drying on my skin! It seems to have a semi-matte finish.
ConsThere's nothing disappointing about the product itself, but the puff tends to tear easily and there's some excess powder.
TipIt works great with those firm, skin-toned puffs that various brands offer.

Despite persistent blemishes that give my face a reddish tint, this product offers excellent coverage. Usually, high-coverage products tend to be drying, but this one keeps my skin hydrated. It feels like it really adheres to the skin. I think it would work well for those with a slightly darker complexion than shade 23.
ConsIt always feels so moisturizing that it's almost like there's a layer of oil on my skin. While this could be seen as a positive, it does give a rather shiny appearance. Apart from this, I haven't really noticed any other drawbacks yet.
TipIt applies beautifully even without using any additional products.

The store associate recommended Alaska to me. When I apply it, it matches perfectly with my neck color. I used to have oily skin without any blemishes, but about 2 years ago, I suddenly started getting acne and experiencing deep dryness, turning my skin combination. I had to throw out all my old cosmetics and tried various products before settling on the Aqua Glow Cushion about a year ago. While it doesn't make acne disappear, it doesn't cause new breakouts either. Even with light skincare and a generous application of the cushion, my skin doesn't feel tight or dry at all throughout the day.
ConsThe amount is small compared to the price, which is why I deducted one star. Since I work in a field that requires makeup, I have to repurchase it monthly even though I apply it thinly.
TipThe NARS staff mentioned that this cushion is designed to work for all skin types, from dry to oily. I especially recommend it for those with combination skin like mine. I've noticed that if I apply too much skincare underneath, it can lead to darkening and excess oil production. Personally, I just use one light layer of skincare in the morning before applying this cushion.

The color is also more radiant. With my darker complexion, I had given up on brightness (pink or red tones make my already large face look bigger and darker). However, Alaska is about half a shade lighter than my skin, making it look natural and luminous. It makes your skin look naturally beautiful, as if you have good skin to begin with, and it wears off gracefully. It applies thinly and feels lightweight, with almost no heaviness or stuffiness. The design is right up my alley, and the scent is minimal and not overpowering. The coverage is medium-high, making it suitable to use the cushion alone. It has a cooling effect and doesn't get greasy or sticky, making it great for summer use. It doesn't cake or pill when reapplied, so it seems good for touch-ups too. While there is some darkening, it's not severe, and the longevity is decent.
ConsThe amount is small. The price. The puff is expensive too. While the longevity and adherence aren't bad, it transfers quite a bit. Not sure if I just got a bad one, but when I open it, the middle cover comes up with it. The durability of the container, especially the opening part, seems weak. I wonder if it's acceptable to make it like this at this price point. It accentuates wrinkles. The matte black case easily shows fingerprints and product residue, which are hard to wipe off.
TipUsing a primer helps reduce transfer somewhat.

The staying power is great, and best of all, it doesn't dry out my skin. I'm definitely planning to repurchase.
ConsThis shade is on the darker side, which worked well for me, but it might not be suitable for those who prefer a lighter look. Other than that, I didn't really notice any downsides!

I've tried cushions from Armani, YSL, and Hera, but NARS cushion seems to be the ultimate winner. Previously, I used Armani Silk Long-Lasting Foundation with a red cushion for coverage. My skin has a lot of redness and quite noticeable freckles. My T-zone is oily yet dry - pretty much the worst skin type. Surprisingly, this NARS cushion seems to cover all these issues wonderfully. It's absolutely top-notch!
ConsThe case feels a bit too lightweight. As mentioned by another reviewer, if you press the puff too hard when first applying, it can dispense too much product, leading to difficulties in controlling the amount later on.
TipUse it together with NARS concealer for best results
