This is exactly the color payoff I was looking for, and the gel texture makes it so easy to control application. It's really versatile when you switch up brushes. I wouldn't recommend the built-in brush. Also, be careful - if you don't close the lid properly, it might dry out. - Hwahae UserOily SkinFeb 6, 2024
It's cheaper compared to gel eyeliners from other brands. You can often find it on sale through the Olive Young app, making it even more affordable. I rarely give 1-star reviews, but this is truly the most overrated product I've ever used. It smudges terribly, and when you try to fix it with a cotton swab, it just smears and becomes impossible to remove. It was so stressful to use that I switched to Pro:8 Cheongdam's product, which made me realize how awful this one is - I immediately threw the Tony Moly eyeliner away. It even spreads to the under-eye area over time. Please don't buy it just because it's cheap. It's the most smudge-prone and inconvenient product I've ever tried. The brush that comes with it is absolute garbage... I only use it for aegyo-sal (under-eye aegyo) and replaced the brush with a Fillimilli one. Spend a bit more and get the Pro:8 Cheongdam eyeliner instead. Seriously, just don't buy anything from Tony Moly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 24, 2022
Inner rim application: Recently, it's been gaining popularity again for filling in the inner rim. It lives up to its reputation and is truly excellent. I use a flat brush instead of the built-in one for application. Staying power: Unlike some pencils that can smudge when applied to the inner rim, this one never smears! Mixability: As the name 'Gel Ah' suggests, it's a gel formula that can be mixed to create custom colors. I mix mine with the brown Backgel eyeliner. Quantity: The amount is generous, so it lasts for a long time. Built-in brush: I think it would be even better for application if the built-in brush was flat or angled! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 11, 2022
It absorbs smoothly, and despite being a gel, it has great staying power! While it's unavoidable with gels, the brush hardens quickly after just one use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2021
This is a product I always used as a student, and it's surprisingly good. It doesn't smudge and absorbs well without any irritation. I've never managed to use it up completely... It tends to harden easily. The brush just gets damaged easily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 30, 2020
The large volume allows you to use one full-size product for an entire year. While it can smudge if touched or when sweating before it dries, it's quite resistant to removal once set. It's strong against oil but slightly less resistant to moisture. In my experience, it didn't smudge much during sweaty summer days, but it did come off on rainy days. The gel texture makes it easy to draw precise lines, which is convenient. Considering the volume and quality, its affordable price is a significant advantage. The eyeliner brush tends to harden, so you need to clean it after each use for easier application next time. This frequent cleaning can be a bit of a hassle. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinNov 27, 2020
Honestly, I'm struggling to find any positives... No matter how hard I think, there doesn't seem to be anything good to say. • The built-in brush is of extremely poor quality. You're better off just tossing it out. • It smudges under the eyes in less than an hour. After two hours or more, you'll look like a panda. Please, don't buy this. Really. Tony Moly products are usually better quality than this. What happened here? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 24, 2020
1. It used to be a cult favorite... ah, memories! 2. It's budget-friendly 1. The gel dries up quickly 2. The brush becomes rock-hard in no time - It can actually hurt when it touches your skin 3. These days, there are much better gel liners out there, so I can't recommend this one - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 22, 2020
It seems to apply well when the brush is in good condition... When the brush isn't in great shape, it doesn't apply smoothly... which might be expected, I suppose. Sometimes it draws a dotted line instead of a solid one, so when I try to create a thin line, I end up having to fill it in, making it thicker than intended. That's a bit disappointing! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 22, 2020
It doesn't smudge, which is great. I think this is the eyeliner I've used for the longest time. Sometimes the brush hardens, making it a bit uncomfortable on the lash line when applying.
