The coverage is great and I love the shade. There are many good concealers out there these days, and this one definitely stands among them. I highly recommend it! I honestly can't think of any downsides. That's why I've purchased this product twice already. - ri*******Normal SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 2, 2024
I'm using shade 21 cool tone as a highlighter. The adherence is decent, and I don't really notice any darkening, so I'm using it comfortably. If you apply it without primer, it seems to emphasize pores a bit. Since it's a buildable concealer, it's best to apply thin layers multiple times with a brush. - ap******Combination SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessJul 22, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It doesn't easily flake or break down. The coverage is quite decent. It can be removed with wet wipes, which is convenient for easy removal. However, it seems somewhat vulnerable to sweat and oil. There's a fair amount of transfer, and it's challenging to apply evenly. It has a reddish undertone, so it might not be ideal for cool skin tones. It can look a bit heavy, as if you're wearing thick makeup, which might appear somewhat suffocating. This product seems to require a professional touch for best results. When mixed with face oil, it creates a beautiful glow. However, it's difficult to apply evenly, and without a finishing fixator, it can slide and become patchy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 22, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

However, I've been diligently using the product. I have combination dehydrated super sensitive skin, and while I used to have severe skin texture issues, they've now cleared up completely. The ingredients are pretty good. While not entirely vegan, considering it's a color cosmetic product, I'd say the formulation is reasonably good. The coverage is excellent. It completely concealed my veins, and most blemishes were well hidden too. The color is bright, so it could work well as a base makeup (except for those with dry skin). While it covers blemishes to some extent, it's particularly effective at concealing dark circles, probably due to its brightening effect. It tends to settle into wrinkles quite badly. Even with thorough skincare prep, I still experienced creasing, possibly due to my dry skin. It's extremely drying. I use Innisfree's mineral stick and Clio products, and while I find Clio a bit drying, this is even more so. You can experience the ultimate level of dryness with this. It significantly emphasizes pores. Spot application is fine, but when applied to larger areas, pores become very noticeable. It dries incredibly fast. This could be an advantage, but for someone with slow hands like me, it was quite challenging. While it covers dark circles well, I wouldn't recommend it for those with thin, dry skin around the eyes. It applies better when quickly spread with fingers rather than using a brush. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJul 19, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

This one, however, isn't a heavy-coverage concealer. It spreads and blends easily. It's a moisturizing liquid type that allows for precise application, and it pairs beautifully with my usual foundation or cushion for a natural look. For a concealer, it's quite fluid and oil-free, so if you let it set a bit before layering, you can achieve a much cleaner finish. My routine involves letting time pass between applying skincare, sunscreen, concealer, and powder, so this texture that doesn't leave an oily residue works well for me. (It blends seamlessly even when mixing different shades.) While I often end up not using concealers I've bought on impulse, I'm getting good use out of this one. I apply it first to my under-eye area and any problem spots, which allows me to create an overall base that's lighter and thinner than usual, yet more flawless and perfect. I'm really enjoying it! Plus, looking at other reviews, I think the differing opinions might be due to varying amounts used. Also, while I sometimes get hives from base makeup, I haven't had any allergic reactions to this product, perhaps because I use such a small amount. The lack of oil might make it feel dry for some people, similar to foundations that dry to a powdery finish. It's not a thick concealer, and the shade 21, while light, has a slightly grayish tone which is a bit disappointing. As you can see in the reference photo where it's applied thickly on the hand, it does provide coverage, but it's not a super high-coverage type. So it might have limitations in covering scars or dark spots. For reference, I've concealed one of two large moles on my arm to show the difference. If you don't need to put a lot of effort into your base makeup but find foundation too heavy and don't want to layer in summer, try dabbing and gently blending this concealer. Just use it to even out your complexion and softly press to blend the covered areas with your bare skin. You should be able to achieve a satisfying skin finish. - jm*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 19, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

(I'm a big fan of the Wake Make Defining Concealer!) As someone with combination, acne-prone skin, concealer is an absolute must in my makeup routine! However, due to my skin's deep dryness, covering blemishes often results in a flaky appearance. That's why I'm meticulous about applying a super hydrating base before moving on to my complexion makeup. 1. Slight dryness Even though I applied a moisturizing base underneath, I still felt some dryness with this concealer. 2. Color Instead of a light beige tone, the concealer has a cement-like color that doesn't match my average 21 shade skin at all. It might work well as a highlighter or to brighten the aegyo sal (under-eye area). - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 19, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The absorbs well was great, and it gave me a radiant complexion without being over the top. I haven't used it many times, so there might be more to discover, but honestly, I didn't find any drawbacks! When doing your base makeup, use this to create a natural-looking base. Then, apply it to areas you want to brighten for a more radiant look. It's great for achieving a dimensional skin appearance without needing a separate highlighter! - jj*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsJul 19, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I usually prefer pink-based products, so the Petal Beige color was a perfect match for me! It offers decent coverage that effectively conceals most blemishes. In my opinion, it's not bright enough to use as a highlighter. It actually seemed to accentuate my dark circles. And the way it settled into pores and fine lines was disappointing. Since it tends to settle into skin texture, rather than using it alone, I found it works better when mixed with BB cream or foundation. This method improves coverage and makes the overall application more comfortable. - go*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 19, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I focused on concealing my dark circles, blemishes, and acne, and I was impressed to see that the concealer didn't cake up but provided light yet thorough coverage. The brush applicator was particularly effective for covering dark circles. I simply swiped it on and gently patted to blend it in. While the coverage is good, I found the absorption and transfer to be a bit disappointing. More thorough skincare prep might reduce transfer, but it still falls short compared to other products. However, the overall quality of the product makes this minor drawback manageable. For longer-lasting coverage, apply the concealer once, allow it to absorb, then lightly apply a second layer. It doesn't clump much, so a second application works well! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 17, 2021Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I only use a bit of cushion for touch-ups. 🔸️It feels incredibly lightweight! I think it's because of the matte finish, but I love how it feels like you're barely wearing anything! 🔸️It doesn't transfer much to masks.. This is mainly when I'm indoors, but even on really hot summer days, if you're not sweating profusely or touching your face often, it only transfers slightly around the nose area! 🔸️Like with most minimal makeup using just concealer, when it starts to fade and you touch up with a bit of cushion, it looks much more natural! 🔹️It settles into wrinkles.. For someone with large pores like me, it even settled into my pores.. I was shocked by how much it creased around the sides of my nose. 🔹️Although it's a concealer, it didn't properly cover reddened blemishes... but it did an okay job of hiding dark circles. 🔹️I said I liked the lightweight feel, but it was drying... (definitely dry skin) 🔹️I mentioned it looks natural when you touch up with cushion after it fades, but the concealer itself breaks down terribly.. This was on a day when I sweat a lot, but isn't everyone sweating like crazy these days? 🔹️There's pilling. (No comment) Try doing your makeup with just concealer, everyone. It'll lift your slumped summer shoulders just a tiny bit, haha!
