It feels gentle and non-irritating on sensitive skin, effectively cleansing without causing any discomfort. After rinsing, it doesn't leave your skin feeling squeaky clean, and there's a slight residue. The lather isn't very rich, and the scent might be hit or miss for some people. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2024
This was a decent cleanser for me. I liked that the foam was soft and didn't irritate my skin. The generous amount is great for everyday use. There's a bit of slipperiness left after washing, but that might be a personal preference. I'm not a fan of that feeling. I think it's best suited for morning cleansing routines. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 27, 2023
This low pH cleansing foam contains cica ingredients, allowing for a gentle cleanse without much irritation It doesn't lather well, so you end up using more product. There's also a slight slippery feeling left on the skin - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 25, 2023
I love how it's not burdensome to use in the morning. The formula doesn't leave you feeling squeaky clean after use. It's great for a quick and easy morning cleanse. It's not ideal for use after makeup. The cleansing effectiveness seems a bit lacking. It feels like residue remains, so it's not the best choice for post-makeup removal. It's perfect for morning use when there's less buildup to remove. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 12, 2023
Perfect for morning use! I love that it contains mugwort but doesn't have an overpowering scent. I've been using it for over a month without any blemishes appearing. While the lather isn't super rich, it's not too sparse either. It's a solid, easy-to-use product that gets the job done! After cleansing, there's a slight slippery feeling left on the skin. It's somewhere between moisturizing and slick...? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 8, 2022
The Round Lab Sea Breeze Mugwort Soothing Cleanser foam is fantastic. It's gentle with fine particles, causing minimal irritation to the face. Cleansing with this product leaves my skin feeling thoroughly clean with little tightness, which I love. The slippery feeling lingers a bit more than with other products, so I find myself rinsing more thoroughly with water, which can be a bit harsh on the skin. I think this might be because I tend to wash my face quite vigorously, haha. It's also gentle for morning cleansing. The foam is soft and velvety. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 18, 2021
The thing I really loved was how incredibly soft my skin felt after using it! The cleansing effectiveness is on point, so I think I'll use it well. It definitely gave me a soothing sensation and seemed to calm any redness. The texture itself is slippery with high viscosity, which I think is great for skin texture! After use, there's this slippery feeling when cleansing... How should I describe it? It's like something is left behind. I tested it on the back of my hand alongside other cleansers, and while it does cleanse, it seems to be just the product's finish. It's a bit different from the foamy, squeaky-clean type of cleanser I usually use and prefer! For those like me who prefer foam-rich cleansers, this might be a drawback. Probably due to its good ingredients, I definitely felt an improvement in skin texture, and it removed makeup well. However, the finish isn't completely clean-feeling, so for those who can work with that, this could truly be a holy grail cleanser! I'll attach photos for reference. In order: after applying eyebrow makeup, during cleansing, and after cleansing. Apologies for the visible hair. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 16, 2021
As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes from masks, I'm here to give you an honest review through The Hwahae Testers. Positives: ▶️Packaging: I appreciate the eco-friendly packaging. It's clear they put thought into the shipping process. ▶️Lather: The texture is incredibly soft. With just a bit of water, it creates a rich lather that's gentler than typical cleansing foams. It rolls on smoothly and causes minimal irritation! ▶️Post-cleanse hydration: This is my first time using a low pH cleansing foam, and I must say it leaves my skin feeling more hydrated than regular foam cleansers. It has a refreshing finish, making it perfect for those who struggle with deep dryness after washing. Room for improvement: ▶️Cleansing effectiveness: Even after removing makeup with oil and using a generous amount of this cleanser, I still notice some residue when I use an exfoliating toner afterward to refine my skin texture. ▶️Scent: This might be a personal preference, but I'm not particularly fond of the mugwort scent. It comes across as a bit strong for my liking. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 16, 2021
I've tried many low pH cleansers, but this one feels a bit different. With its gentle ingredients and amino acids, plus coming from a trustworthy brand, it's great for light, everyday use. The scent might be hit or miss for some, but for me, it's a hit! I love that it smells natural. The day after using it, I noticed some redness on my eyes and cheeks, which was concerning. But since it was my first time using it, I figured my skin just needed to adjust. When I tried it again the next day, the redness didn't spread to other areas. Apart from that, as I mentioned earlier, the scent might be divisive. Also, its cleansing effectiveness is a bit lacking, so you might need a separate first cleanser. After use, there's a slight slippery residue left on the skin. It's perfect as a second cleanser after using an oil or cream cleanser, or as a morning cleanser. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 16, 2021
(Provided as a Hwahae Tester review) As someone with combination dehydrated skin, my skin type has changed since giving birth about 5 months ago. Due to breastfeeding, my skin has become drier but still slightly oily. Despite being a sea buckthorn mugwort cleanser, it doesn't smell like mugwort. Instead, it has a subtle, pleasant scent that isn't off-putting at all. This cleanser doesn't produce an abundance of foam. In fact, it leans towards producing less, which initially led me to use more product. However, since I do double or triple cleansing when wearing makeup, I don't see this as a major issue for use in the final cleansing step. What I appreciated most was how my skin felt moisturized and not tight after washing. Besides that, it was generally satisfactory, though I wouldn't say I was blown away by it. A product I've recently tried and liked: Dr.G Blemish Foam Cleansing The only slight disappointment was the slightly slippery feeling left on the skin after rinsing, as if there was some residue. This might be a drawback for those who prefer a more matte finish. You can use it just like any regular foam cleanser.
