I purchased the Ohtu scalp ampoule through an Instagram ad, and I've been using it for a while. I had dry scalp, itchiness, and flaky skin, so I tried various shampoos, including Nizoral and other well-known scalp shampoos. But after using the Ohtu shampoo from Alive Lab, the itchiness significantly decreased after just one use, and the flakiness has been much less over time. I'm continuing to use it, but I wish I had bought more than two.

The way it opens is quite unique haha. There is a cap, but squeezing it to use it is so convenient!

I've been using it for more than 3 bottles! I just found out that it's also available on Hwahae. Han*, who is an influencer or YouTuber, recommended it and I really liked it! The key things I look for in a shampoo are:
- It shouldn't feel sticky or heavy when I'm washing my hair
- It should be gentle on my scalp since I have a perm
- I have an oily scalp, so I don't want it to leave any residue.
Of course, there's no way to completely avoid the scent on the crown of my head, but haha. When I use the wrong shampoo, I immediately get breakouts and my scalp gets irritated and red, but I didn't experience any of that with this one! I'm really satisfied with it.

The price... I think it's almost at the full price level, even though there's a discount.
Alive Lab doesn't usually have many sales, so that's probably why.

I bought it thinking it would be good since it's the same product line, rather than having high expectations for scalp exfoliation.
I used it for about half a year.

Advantage 1. Unexpected cooling sensation

The scalp really gets cool.
However, it's not the typical hot cooling sensation (which I also like) of menthol-containing or cooling shampoos,
but a real cool sensation like rinsing with cold water.
It's probably due to the formula, as it's a liquid shampoo, so the shampoo temperature is lower than body temperature.
And the scalp ampoule also helps lower the temperature, so you can feel the coolness from the ingredients and the formula.

2. Produces tons of lather!!

It's really a water shampoo, so the lather isn't as much as regular shampoos? But it lathers up incredibly!
Compared to other brands, the lather is really abundant.
I hadn't washed my hair for about 4 days, so when I washed it, the lather didn't come out well, right?
But even from the first lather, the lather was at maximum level.
Crazy...

3. Gentle exfoliation and not drying

I usually avoid very gentle shampoos because of my dandruff, but this provides adequate scalp moisture while exfoliating.
There's nothing sticking to the scalp, and the cleansing is easy.
I'll use a scalp tonic or ampoule after, but it's really amazing.

4. Incredibly convenient to use

Normally, shampoo bottles require you to remove the cap, but this one doesn't.
You just twist it!
At first, I didn't know and tried to pull the opening, but it came off so easily with just a little force?? That was a bit strange, but
just twist it and it's good.

5. Haven't used it all up yet

I didn't use it every day, since it's a scalp shampoo, but I still haven't used it all up.
If you use it for the first time, you might think you'll use it up quickly, but the volume is surprisingly large.

1. Thoroughly wet your hair all over for about 1 minute.
2. Twist the transparent cap upwards to open it. Flip it over and pump it onto your scalp 2-3 times.
3. Massage your scalp with your fingertips, not nails, and lather the shampoo.
4. Make sure the lather covers your entire head evenly, and then rinse thoroughly to remove all residue.
5. Gently squeeze out some of the water from your hair with your hands, and then pat it dry with a towel.

The shampoo method is the same for all shampoos, except for step 2.

September 2022 update:
When I used it for half a bottle, I found it a bit boring, so I used another shampoo for a while, but came back to this one. It's definitely a scalp shampoo, so it's better to use it occasionally. After traveling or once a week, give your scalp a massage and leave the lather on for 30 seconds, and it will effectively remove impurities. Shampoos labeled 'scalp' generally require more leave-in time than regular shampoos.

Spraying it directly on the scalp feels a bit awkward.
The instructions on how to use the cap don't seem to be detailed on the website either.
Compared to the price, the amount seems small. 28,000 won for this small amount...
It might be difficult to use if it's a bit bigger... It would be better if they lowered the price or sold refills.

I used this line ampoule so well that I trusted and bought the shampoo too.
I just used it for the first time and it feels the same as using the line ampoule.
The shampoo lathers well too. I used the ampoule for a year, then didn't use it for a while, and bought it again because of scalp flakes. The shampoo bottle is interestingly designed, looking like a large ampoule. You have to slightly twist the small cover upwards to open it and the liquid comes out. They said to spray it directly on the scalp, so I sprayed and gently massaged it, and the lather came out well. Spraying it twice seems to be enough. I think I used a lot the first time since it's my first time using it. After rinsing with water, it's not sticky at all and feels moisturized and good.
